Good morning. It was the morning of my second day in this another world. Today, the monster subjugation begins. If I lose focus or slack on my preparations, there is a risk I could die. I have to stay sharp. After finishing breakfast and checking my gear, I waited for Mercedes-san.
”Good morning. Everyone is here, I see. Shall we head out?”
”Roger that. Looking forward to working with you again today.”
Our first stop was the Adventurer’s Guild to pick up the quest for Horn Rabbits.
”In addition to myself, I’ve arranged to meet a mentor adventurer party at the guild,” Mercedes-san explained.
”Oh, really?”
”Yes. Even I wouldn’t try to handle all of you alone.”
Mercedes-san’s level was high, and while she was fine for just slaying monsters, she couldn’t teach the various nuances of being an adventurer. The way a Knight Order fought-relying on standardized gear and the power of a unified front-is completely different from how adventurers operate in small, mobile, and flexible units. Even camping tasks like labor division and watch-duty rotations vary wildly depending on the party size. Since Mercedes-san views monster hunting as a “productive way to spend a weekend hobby,” she could teach the basics, but she likely wants to ensure there is no gap between us and the other two parties. Apparently, the government footed the bill for the mentor party’s commission.
”There they are. That’s them.”
The three women sitting in what looked like the guild’s cafeteria seemed to be our mentors. The first was a somewhat large-statured Human with long green hair, clad in heavy-looking metal armor. The second was a petite Beastman with a blue bob cut and light armor. The last was an even smaller Elf with long, wavy blonde hair wearing a robe. I was just guessing their races based on looks, so I might be wrong. Also, even looking at the animal ears, I couldn’t tell the specific species. She looked cat-like, so she was probably something in that vein.
”Good morning. Team Leemans, these are the two from ‘Twin Winds’ and Sylvie-san, who will be instructing you. Come now, let’s introduce ourselves.”
”I’m Daisuke, the leader of the Leemans. I look forward to working with you for the next five days.”
First and foremost, a greeting. Since we’re the ones being taught, I’ll play it humble. Except with Mercedes-san, of course.
”I am Takuya-degozaru.”
”This one is known as Makoto, desu-zo!”
”I’m Kenta.”
”And I’m Kazuya-ssu.”
”Nice to meet you. I’m the leader of Twin Winds, Ines.”
”And I’m Juliet.”
”Pleasure to meet you, I’m Sylvie. Let’s get along, okay?”
Ines-san was about 170cm with very thick chest armor¹. Her speech was a bit stiff, but she had a kind, gentle look in her eyes. She was a D-Rank adventurer. Juliet-san was around 150cm, but for her size, her chest armor was quite thick. She looked a bit grumpy. Like Ines-san, she was D-Rank. Sylvie-san was about 140cm, and while it was hard to tell under the robe, her chest armor seemed thin. She was smiling and seemed to be enjoying herself. She was a C-Rank adventurer who wasn’t a permanent member of Twin Winds but worked solo or filled in for parties as needed.
”Oooooh!! It is the beautiful My Angel, desu-zo!”
Makoto clearly lost his mind upon seeing the loli Elf, Sylvie-san.
”Settle down, Makoto. You’re being rude to someone we just met.”
”What are you saying, Daisuke-shi! Do you not remember passing her in town yesterday?!”
Now that he mentioned it, I think maybe…? I remember there was a loli Elf Makoto was staring at, but I wasn’t sure if it was Sylvie-san. Wait, can I figure this out if I use ‘Mental Memory’²?

Oh! This is useful for things other than onanism. Sweet. And just as Makoto said, the loli Elf from yesterday was indeed Sylvie-san. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that this is our first actual meeting. You don’t say you’ve “met” someone just because you walked past them.
”Elves are long-lived, so she must be an adult! In other words, a legal loli³! Sylvie-shi, please, I beg of you-go out with me!”
”Um, ‘legal loli’ is a bit of a rude way to put it, but whatever. I prefer strong men, so… sorry.”
”H-How strong are we talking, exactly?!”
Makoto was really digging his heels in; she must be exactly his type.
”Hmm… I’d want someone who can take down something like a Wyvern with a single punch.”
From what I’ve heard, a Wyvern is an A-Rank monster. They’re opponents that only a handful of adventurers ever reach-the kind of enemy that can wipe out an entire party if they aren’t A-Rank themselves.
For Makoto, who plans to quit being an adventurer in a year, I doubt he’ll even make it to B-Rank. He definitely won’t be able to solo one, let alone one-shot it. If he had five or ten years, maybe he’d have a chance. In short, Makoto just got shot down hard by Sylvie-san.
”The… the regret is real, desu-zo…”
Makoto hung his head in shock. Well, Sylvie-san really was a beautiful girl, so I got it. Mercedes-san might claim the title of “pure and lovely beautiful girl” for herself, but Sylvie-san actually fits the bill.
”Hey Ines, do you really want to take this job? These guys are freaks.”
”Now, don’t be like that. They’re certainly unique, but don’t they seem interesting? Besides, they have the Blessings of Green God-sama⁴. Aren’t you curious to see how they grow?”
”…If you’re going that far, fine. We already took the job anyway, and it’s not worth the hassle of canceling.”
Ines-san and Juliet-san were whispering about something. Juliet-san lumping us all together as “freaks” just because of Makoto was a bit uncalled for. I glanced sideways-Kenta was giving his usual wry smile, Takuya was being all ninja-like and staying silent, and Kazuya seemed to have zero interest, staring off into space.
These guys were totally doing their own thing. Meanwhile, Ines-san had this calm way of speaking and a soft smile; she felt like a proper “mature woman.” The “mature charm” Mercedes-san was always bragging about actually belonged to Ines-san.
”…What? You’re thinking something rude again, aren’t you?”
”Not at all. You know how you’re always talking about ‘mature charm’ and being a ‘pure and lovely beautiful girl’? I was just realizing that the woman with real mature charm is Ines-san, and the pure and lovely beautiful girl is Sylvie-san.”
”I knew it! That’s totally rude!”
”Sorry, sorry. But Mercedes-san, you have your own charms and good points too, right?”
”Of course I do! Well? What are they? I’ll let you tell me, just this once! Hurry up and say it!”
”You’re… energetic.”
”That’s just a basic trait!”
I decided to stop teasing Mercedes-san. I was still Level 1; if she actually lost her temper and slugged me, I’d be dead.
”Me… overflowing with mature charm…?”
”Thank you very much.”
Ines-san looked a bit bewildered.
Apparently, she hadn’t been complimented like that before, but it’s not like she looked thrilled either. Sylvie-san was just smiling, but that was her default setting, so it was probably just a courtesy. (As I thought, with the effect of ‘The Onanist’s Tribulation’⁵, a little comment like that won’t budge their favorability. Man, thinking about the road ahead makes me feel dizzy.)
”Hey.”
”Yeah?”
”What about me?”
”Huh?”
”Do you have nothing to say about me?”
Juliet-san chimed in. She was probably just annoyed she was the only one left out.
”…You certainly have a magnificent pair.”
”Where exactly are you looking, you pervert?!”
”Gah-!?”
I doubled over in pain after Juliet-san kicked me square in the thigh. She was probably holding back, but it still hurt like hell! I was just being honest about her charms, but I guess I flipped her anger switch. Yeah, that was just straight-up s*xual harassment. My bad. Trying to follow up with more “praise” would just be pouring gas on the fire, so I’ll just apologize.
”I am… very sorry…”
”Hmph!”
Crap, I really pissed her off. My leg hurt so much I could barely walk. I decided to use my healing magic-might as well level the skill up while I was at it.

The pain eased just a tiny bit. It was the “better than nothing” level of healing. I needed to grind this skill level ASAP.
”Don’t go wasting healing magic on a little scratch like that.”
”And whose fault do you think…!”
”What? You got something to say?”
”…Nothing at all.”
(Fighting back now is a bad move. But I’m definitely going to make this girl cry later! Specifically, tonight… in my fantasies.)
”Come on, stop playing around and let’s go. Time is money.”
”Wow, Mercedes-san actually says something sensible for once.”
”What do you mean ‘for once’?! How rude!”

As a member of the Salarymans party, he belongs to a production class yet possesses high STR and VIT, making him the party’s vanguard, and he aspires to become a master blacksmith, seeking apprenticeship under a master smith. He is a member of Reemans, enthusiastic about elves, and is noted for staring intensely at beautiful women, especially an elven girl in this chapter.
• Kenta – A Magic Swordsman with a refreshing normal build, a fan of a famous RPG but lacking confidence to lead, now serves in the Salarymans party as a flexible combatant who can switch between vanguard and mid‑guard. He is a fellow reincarnated individual struggling to adjust to the new environment, a summoned Magic Swordsman class member, a member of the Leemans party, and already uses Water Magic.

• Martina – She is the daughter of Fritz Gilman, a beauty with sharp sanpaku eyes and a slender yet curvaceous build, who serves as the instructor for the summoned individuals. A high‑ranking noblewoman of the Gilman family, she exudes a seductive, commanding presence, often clad in high‑slit dresses that resemble a cheongsam or ao dai. She is strikingly beautiful and possesses a C‑cup chest.
