Chapter 275 Thunder Demon General Reborn as the Hero’s Bitch-dog, Lightning

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Two women stood in stark opposition.

On one side stood a blue-skinned, horned Mazoku¹ clothed in a crisp maid’s uniform—Tsunami.

The other was a Mazoku stripped of everything but a dog-ear headband, a tail-plug, and a collar—the former Thunder Demon General, Lightning.

Lightning brandished her favorite blade, a low growl vibrating in her throat.

Tsunami, conversely, remained unfazed, her expression as cool as a mountain spring.

 ”Grrrrr…”

”I don’t suppose…” Tsunami began, her voice dripping with mock concern, “that you’ve forgotten how to speak entirely? Surely the words haven’t left you.”

 ”Woof! Grrr…”

Lightning shook her head sharply in response to Tsunami’s query. She still understood the language; she simply chose not to use it.

”So, you’ve abandoned human speech by choice. Not because your mind has shattered, but because you want to be this way. How utterly pathetic,” Tsunami said, a dismissive shrug lifting her shoulders.

Tsunami was no stranger to those who had discarded their humanity after their spirits broke. During her time at Sieben’s estate, she had seen Marl—a girl who had retreated into a fractured psyche to escape the crushing weight of her own guilt.

It had been a tragic, almost unbearable sight; a girl so haunted by her actions under the Hero Sugita that she repeatedly shattered her own mind whenever it began to heal.

 But Lightning? She was different.

Lightning had been captured, broken by a relentless tide of pleasure until her body and soul surrendered. That was one thing—Sieben did the same to others.

But to become the Hero’s sycophant, to grovel and mimic a dog simply to avoid the burden of thought? That was a different kind of fall entirely.

”Very well. If you’ve lost the pride of a Demon General, then I shall have to re-discipline you.”

Tsunami flicked her wrist, and her telescopic titanium rod—a custom piece by Tatei—slid out with a cold, metallic snick.

Lightning met the challenge with a sneer, her eyes mocking. (Can you even do it?) the look seemed to say. (Being a thoughtless pet is far easier.)

”You once carried yourself as a knight, sworn to Medinilla-sama. Where did that woman go? No matter. Come. Let me show you the vast difference in our standing.”

Tsunami beckoned with a single, provocative finger.

Lightning snorted and closed the distance like a crack of thunder, her blade descending in a lethal diagonal slash.

Tsunami didn’t panic; she simply pivoted half a step, the blade whistling past her skin by a hair’s breadth.

 ”…?!?”

”I hope you didn’t think it would be that easy,” Tsunami whispered. “To think you could end this with a single strike… you’re severely underestimating me.”

 ”Kuh… Gah!”

Lightning’s attacks grew frantic, her desperation mounting as every strike met nothing but air.

She wasn’t called the Thunder Demon General for nothing; her blade was wreathed in crackling electricity. Even a glancing blow would paralyze an opponent for seconds—enough time for a master like her to end the fight.

To counter Tsunami, she began channeling electricity through her own nerves, a suicidal technique to hyper-accelerate her reflexes.

Yet, even then, she couldn’t so much as graze the maid’s uniform.

”What’s wrong? You can’t even touch me. In fact…”

WHACK!

 ”Yelp! Haguu!”

Tsunami drove the rod into Lightning’s unprotected ribs. Without armor or clothing, the impact was devastating.

”That’s what happens when you dress like… that!” Tsunami added, punctuating her sentence with a mid-air kick that sent Lightning sprawling across the stone floor.

”How the mighty have fallen. Surely a Demon General doesn’t give up this easily? Oh, my mistake. I’m speaking to a fool’s pet now.”

 ”Gu… GAAAAAAAAH! Grrr! Grrrrrr…”

Enraged by the insult to her master, Lightning abandoned all caution.

She raised her sword and swung—not at Tsunami, but at the air itself. A bolt of violet lightning erupted from the steel, a raw ‘Thunderbolt’ aimed purely by instinct.

”Ah, I’d almost forgotten about that.” Tsunami dodged the first arc. “If I can’t dodge them all, I’ll just have to block. Aqua Barrier!”

A wall of shimmering water rose before Tsunami.

Lightning’s lips curled into a triumphant grin. Water conducted electricity; Tsunami had just built her own electric chair.

Lightning unleashed a barrage of bolts, a continuous stream of violet death. The lightning hit the water—and simply vanished.

 ”…?!?”

”You seem confused. Let me enlighten you,” Tsunami smiled. “Ordinary water conducts electricity, yes. But this? This is ultra-pure water², stripped of every impurity and ion. It is a near-perfect insulator. Your sorcery-born lightning is a toy compared to the fury of nature. It will never reach me. And one more thing. Water is fluid. It changes to fit the vessel—or the victim.”

From the wall of water, thick, liquid tentacles lashed out. They coiled around Lightning’s limbs, pinning her. One tentacle lunged upward, forcing its way past her teeth and deep into her throat.

 ”Gubu! Mubbu! Ggkkhh!”

”It’s futile. Do you have any idea how much pressure is packed into these coils?” Tsunami stepped closer, her eyes glowing. “I carry the title of Water Demon General, but I can use all attributes. Even yours.”

A spark of violet electricity crackled between Tsunami’s fingers. “As a contractor of the Thunderbird, you have resistance. But my understanding of the principles of lightning is far deeper than yours. I can manifest a current that makes your ‘Thunderbolt’ look like a static shock. Are you ready? Don’t worry, I’ve tuned the voltage. You won’t die. But to be broken by the very element you once mastered… there is a delicious irony in that, isn’t there?”

 ”Ubu! Nmmuuuuu!”

Tsunami pressed her fingers directly against Lightning’s bared, sensitive n**ipss.

SNAP!

 ”OBUUUUUUUUU! NBUUUUUUUUUUU!”

Lightning’s entire body arched and spasms. Her eyes rolled back into her head, and a warm stream splashed against the floor as her bladder gave way.

The water tentacles dissolved, dropping Lightning’s limp, soaking body. She lay there, twitching rhythmically from the aftershocks.

Tsunami looked down and sighed. “Reflect on your failures while you soak… Though, I must admit, you look quite provocative like this. Perhaps I’ll play with you just a little longer.”

 Summary:

Tsunami confronts the fallen Lightning, who has chosen to act as the Hero’s pet dog. Despite Lightning’s lightning-enhanced speed and sword techniques, Tsunami dominates the fight using scientific principles of ultra-pure water as an insulator. The encounter ends with Tsunami sadistically electrocuting Lightning into unconsciousness.

 —

 Trivia:

 - Lightning is intentionally choosing to be a pet to avoid thinking.

 - Ultra-pure water is an insulator, unlike tap or salt water.

 - Tsunami is not limited to water magic; she can use all attributes.

 - Marl is a recurring example of a ‘broken’ character in this world’s lore

 —

 Character Insight:

Tsunami demonstrates a mix of cold efficiency and budding sadism. Lightning shows a complete abandonment of her former knightly pride in favor of submission.

 —

 Behind the Scenes:

The author notes a hiatus due to a personal loss (mother’s passing) but reaffirms the commitment to finishing the story.

 TL Notes:

1 Mazoku: A term usually meaning ‘Demon Race’ or ‘Fiedish Being’ in Japanese fantasy.

2 Ultra-pure water: Water purified to highest stages, lacking ions and thus unable to conduct electricity.

Notes:

• Tsunami – Blue‑skinned, goat‑horned demon with black sclera, purple irises and waist‑length black hair, wearing a high‑heeled maid outfit (large chest). She is the Water General, Demon King’s direct maid and reincarnated hero Souichiro Tsunami, founder of Greedia, attendant to Medinilla (the strongest of the Six Generals). Contracted to no specific water spirit but masters all water attributes, including ultra‑pure sorcery.

• Lightning – Thunder Demon General, once a Mazoku Hero‑Church priestess with thick blonde ponytail, purple eyes and silver armor, now allies with Seijuro. Incapacitated and sexually overwhelmed by a Maid Demon, she wears only a dog‑ear headband, tail‑plug and collar, and is bound to the Spirit Beast Thunderbird as a loyal pet.

• Sieben – Young black-haired man under 20, masked and hailed as a “God-Enemy” by Goddess Aurelia, he is the summoned Hero who reached Level 100 and became a Transcendental demi-god, now the new Demon King and ruler of Greedia, head of Clan Renegade, former leader of a national casino guild, who recently subjugated the Maou, and is husband to Annamaria.

• Marl – A younger‑sister‑type companion to Lil who likes watching the couple from afar. Not the real sister. She was a girl sitting in the spectator seats, temporarily controlled by Sugita’s Steal skill. After regaining her senses, she vomits from the shock and guilt of what she witnessed.

• Sugita – Leader of the Sugita gang and Natsumi Sasaki’s primary bully, born into police privilege—grandfather Superintendent General, father a Superintendent—ensuring his crimes vanish. Lean, sharp-featured, with a cold, arrogant stare that screams “I can get away with it.” Wields Steal (窃盗) to manipulate minds and control women; once impersonated hero Sieben with mask and greatsword, only to be stripped of status and dropped to Level 7. Cursed as a “Hero” doomed to endless death and resurrection, he became a Lesser Vampire, was executed, and erased from existence—yet his legacy lingers in whispers: mocked by girls for having a smaller member than the messenger.

• Tatei – Full name is Tatei Kozoo. Natsumi’s otaku buddy. Used to be tall and solid, now he’s 186 cm of skin and bones after anorexia wrecked him (52 kg, yeah, rough). Has the skill Materialization Alchemy and once crafted gear for the whole class. Ended up making the X‑shaped restraint stand used for Sugita’s execution—dark twist for a guy who just wanted to make cool equipment.

• Tate – Male Otaku friend of Reese. Gaunt and thin, wears glasses. Possesses Materialization Alchemy skill.

• Medinilla – Petite, loli‑like demon king with pale blue skin, long silver hair, goat‑like horns and golden eyes rimmed in black, wearing a twilight dress strewn with red roses. Appears as a flat‑chested girl, claims to be Sieben’s wife out of servitude, and competitively serves Natsumi, a child‑like associate. Former leader of the Six Demon Generals, she holds a high‑ranking Mazoku role with an ancient, authoritative tone and regal air.
