Seven-Sins-Avenger 276

Chapter 276 Kakei Seijuro ②

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Is this a bad luck year or something? It’s not just me; it’s like my whole family is cursed with one disaster after another.

This is awkward. What makes it so damn difficult is that my opponent is a little brat of a Demon. The maid Demon would have been way easier to deal with.

(Fighting a little girl isn’t even bullying at this point… even if she is a Demon, the optics are just terrible.)

I couldn’t help but clutch my head in frustration.

If it were that piece of trash Sugita, he’d probably kill her without hesitation. Or that stupid, stubborn Todoroki. But I don’t have a hobby of hurting little girls.

”Oh my, you’re surprisingly soft-hearted, aren’t you? But fret not. I may look like this, but I’ve seen more than two hundred years noja. There’s no need to hold back.”

”Yeah, well, that doesn’t make it any less awkward. I judge by what I see, not what’s on the birth certificate!”

”I see noja. Even so, isn’t Aurelia’s Curse a bit weak on you? Normally, humans harbor a deep-seated hostility toward any Demon, no matter their form noja.”

(Aurelia… that was the Goddess, right? Hostility toward Demons, huh…)

”Oh, I’ve got plenty of that. It’s awkward and I don’t really want to kill you, that’s the truth—but it’s also true that I really want to keep you as a pet.”

 ”No, it’s definitely weak noja…”

The little Demon girl sighed, planting her hands on her hips.

But I see. I think Jinno was trying to kill Lightning at first, too. I guess that’s what’s normal.

”Well, if you have no intent to kill me, then I shan’t kill you either noja.”

”How generous. Though my weapons here pack quite a punch… well, I’ll just swap the ammo. With these, you shouldn’t die unless things go south.”

I tossed a single bullet to the little girl. She caught it and wore a suspicious expression.

 ”What is this noja?”

”A rubber bullet. It hurts like hell, but it’s got no stopping power or penetration. See? The tip is soft. This way… I’ll feel a bit guilty, but you’ll live.”

”It hurts like hell?! Is that not cruel enough on its own noja!?”

Even if she says that, I have to compromise. She won’t die, so I need her to endure it. Besides, if I think of it as discipline, it makes me feel a bit better.

”Well then, they’ve already kicked things off over there, so we might as well get started ourselves!”

I dropped into a low stance, drew my gun in a flash, and squeezed the trigger. Crack! A light sound rang out, and the bullet grazed the little Demon’s shoulder. Despite that, she remained motionless. She probably just couldn’t move. It looked like I could end this quickly.

”…It has been a long time since I last saw one noja. Since you sent over such an odd thing, I did wonder, and you did say ‘bullet.’ I had mostly guessed it noja.”

 ”You’ve seen one before… there’s no way you’d know.”

”A gun, is it not noja? There was a Hero two hundred years ago who used those, too. Though, unlike you, he was a fellow absolutely brimming with bloodlust noja.”

She knew about them. But so what? There’s no way she can dodge a bullet exceeding the speed of sound. Furthermore—

”Hmm… this is a problem noja. Since I said I wouldn’t kill you, my Skills have too much killing intent… I must fight without using some of my Skills noja. Hmm…”

The little Demon girl was groaning and nodding while crossing her arms, seemingly deep in thought. She was full of openings.

”I definitely cannot use that one, right noja? And if I punch you for real, you might actually die—”

 Pop! “Ow!”

A perfect hit right in the middle of her forehead. Surely, the pain would be so bad she’d start wailing, “Wahhh! It hurts noja! I give up noja! I’ll be your pet noja!”

”Ow, ow, ow… I see noja. It certainly won’t kill me, and it does sting quite a bit. However, it’s nothing compared to my Master’s forehead flick noja.”

 ”Huh?! A forehead flick?!”

I can’t believe she’s comparing it to a forehead flick. And from the ‘Master’ she mentioned. She was holding her head, so it must be true that it hurts. But her forehead wasn’t even red.

”Honestly, really… attacking while someone is thinking… no, it was my fault for showing an opening noja. Yes, a surprise attack of this level, I forgive it noja! Kukaka!”

The little girl laughed loudly, placing her hands on her hips and leaning her body back. And there she was, full of openings again. If one shot didn’t work, then another.

I aimed at her forehead again and pulled the trigger. A snapping sound rang out as the bullet was fired. But unlike before, she kept laughing.

Did I miss? It was a small target, so maybe I did. Then, the torso.

Pop! Pop! Two shots. Yet she just kept laughing, completely unfazed. Or rather, for a split second, didn’t her image just blur?

No way? No way, no way, no way!? I fired the remaining loaded bullets. The bullets hit the ground behind her. They’re passing through her!?

”No way… are you seriously dodging them?”

”Indeed noja! Since it stings a fair bit, I decided to dodge. If it did not hurt, I might have just taken it noja. My apologies, I am sensitive to pain noja. Well, two hundred years ago, I could not dodge like I do now noja. Back then, I think I managed to defeat the user by sacrificing three subordinates noja. Truly, I am grateful for my Unique Skill—my ‘Cheat’ noja.”

The little girl beckoned me, provoking me as if telling me to shoot more. Her bratty behavior made my blood boil, and I fired off every round. But…

 ”It is futile noja.”

Her arm blurred, and unbelievably, she caught all the bullets with her bare hands. She let them clatter to the ground.

 ”Dammit! Then how about this!”

My Unique Skill, ‘Infinite Ammunition,’ can produce anything as long as it fires bullets. That means not just handguns, but even Gatling guns.

 ”How about THISSSS!”

A violent roar erupted as a rain of bullets hammered toward the little Demon. Spent casings danced through the air as a thick cloud of dust kicked up. I thought she might end up with more than just an injury, but it is what it is.

I spat out all the bullets, and the sound of the gun spinning empty echoed. As the dust cleared, the little girl was nowhere to be seen.

 ”That is quite something noja.”

I heard a voice from right in front of my chest.

”And here is your receipt noja.”

Her tiny hand reached out and delivered a forehead flick.

It was just a flick, yet I was sent flying. ‘Pain’ didn’t even cover it. The impact was a white-hot agony that made me think my skull had literally shattered.

This is bad. Unlike her appearance, she’s dangerous. In fact, she’s definitely stronger than me. If that’s the case, I should rely on Lightning, but…

”Nngho-heeeeeee! It feels so gooooooooood! I’m going! I’m coming! Hnghhhhh!”

Just the touch of the maid Demon’s finger against Lightning’s crotch sent him arching back like a shrimp, spraying everywhere in a spectacular, violent climax.

”Now then, the match is decided noja.”

The little girl walked up to where I had fallen and looked down at me. Her face was the picture of arrogance. But…

 ”Yeah… I guess it… IS!”

The Derringer I had hidden up my sleeve spat fire. But even that failed to hit. The bullet passed right through her body.

 ”A futile struggle noja.”

 ”Dammit…”

No matter what I do, nothing works—this is beyond unfair. I never had a chance from the start. If I’d known this, I would have abandoned Plaudix and run away sooner.

”…So, are you going to kill me?”

”I have told you many times noja. Since you have no intent to kill, I shall not kill you either noja.”

”Thanks for that. So, what now?”

The little girl pulled a metal ring from her chest area. Where is she pulling that from… I couldn’t see the important parts. (I can’t see inside that dress. No panties for me.)

”I have a hobby of collecting magic items, specifically those known as cursed artifacts noja. This is one of them: the Collar of Subordination. This ring seals the will of the wearer and makes them obey whatever the master says… in other words, they become loyal noja. However… it did not work when I put it on my Master; on the contrary, I was the one who ended up wearing it and was made to do many lewd things noja. Well, putting that aside. Do you understand what will happen to you noja?”

The little girl tried to put the collar on my neck. Even though I tried to resist, I couldn’t move properly.

”Kukaka! From this moment on, you are my pet noja. Aren’t you happy?”

 ”St-stop… I don’t want to be a pet—”

Click. The collar snapped shut, and my consciousness winked out right then and there.
