In May or June, as the summer heat first began to roll in, the weather in Tokyo¹ felt even more stifling. The girls dressed more provocatively with each passing day. Under a cherry blossom tree whose petals had long since withered, Uesugi Aki stared at the black stockings and miniskirt before him. He suppressed the restlessness in his heart and said with a calm, flat voice, “Fellow student, my goal is Tokyo University. I’m not considering these kinds of things right now, so… I’m sorry.”
The charming, blonde beauty looked as though she was used to this reaction. “MM… SORRY FOR TROUBLING YOU, UESUGI-KUN, BUT… I’LL BE BACK.,” Hamazaki Reina said. Beneath the miniskirt, a pair of long legs clad in black silk swayed as she disappeared toward the far end of the playground.

Because of an accident, Uesugi Aki had ended up in this parallel version of Japan. By some stroke of fate, he was still named Aki-though it was now his given name. His full name was Uesugi Aki, sixteen years old, a first-year student at Kuoh Private Academy². When he first arrived, Aki had been thrilled. But as he merged with the memories of his original body and understood the reality of this world, his excitement withered into a self-imposed isolation.
First of all, this world was a chaotic mess of the 2D universe. It blended “clean” anime and adult series alike. Humans, gods, demons, and monsters all lived together. The classmate standing in line with you during the day might be a cold-blooded monster by night. Secondly, the laws of this world leaned heavily toward adult logic. So far, even the “clean” characters he’d met weren’t exactly wholesome.
Ending up in a chaotic world was one thing, but the real kicker was that Aki’s “previous self” possessed the classic “protagonist” template: messy black hair, a handsome and delicate face, a slender frame, and black-rimmed glasses. He was the classic “yasashii” type-polite to everyone, helpful to a fault, with girls constantly chasing him. In a normal anime world, he’d be a classic harem lead. A gust of wind whipped past, stinging Aki’s cheek. Along with flying wood chips, a loud sound echoed in his ear.
”Kid, listen up,” the blonde said. He looked thin, but he grabbed Aki by the collar with one hand and lifted him completely off the ground. “This is your last warning. If I see you walking with Big Sister Reina and the others again, you’re dead! If you don’t do what I say, you’d better never leave the school gates… hehehe.”
Aki was choked until his face was red; he could barely breathe. He could only nod with all his strength.
”Tch,” the blonde spat. Looking at the helpless Aki, he gave a contemptuous grunt, let go, dropped him to the ground, and turned to leave.
Only after the guy was far away did Aki stand up, his face dark. Just like the confessions, the strength of the people looking for trouble was steadily increasing. His predecessor had already been targeted by this blonde. Aki even suspected that half the reason his predecessor suddenly died was because of the lesson the blonde gave him last time. The deep fist imprint in the tree trunk and the fact that a guy under 170cm could effortlessly lift him with one hand proved the blonde was definitely not a normal human.
”Damn it, those three women really are trouble,” Aki muttered while brushing the dust off his pants. He couldn’t stop himself from swearing. “And this blonde… is his eyesight bad or is he just brain-dead? I’ve rejected them so many times, but they keep pestering me. What am I supposed to do?”
The Big Sister Reina the blonde mentioned was Aki’s classmate. There were three of them, all top-tier beauties with incredible bodies: Hamazaki Reina, Sasaki Yukina, and Kurumizaka Ruri. Not long after school started, Aki was hounded by them. His predecessor couldn’t resist the temptation, but on the day he agreed, the blonde came knocking and beat him severely. After being bedridden for three days, the original Aki died for unknown reasons, and the current Aki took over.
