Kuoh Private Academy¹ was one of the most prestigious high schools in all of Japan. Its founder was rumored to be a Devil King from the Underworld, and the school welcomed any supernatural creature within the country’s borders-provided they held a human form and passed the entrance exam.
For ordinary humans, admission required not only stellar grades but also an incredibly deep family pockets. Although Aki’s so-called parents were wealthy, they only paid the tuition for him to attend this elite institution. It wasn’t that they didn’t want the Takamine sisters to enroll as well; the fees for Kuoh Academy were simply too astronomical.
There was a reason for the high cost, of course. Putting aside the elite teaching standards, the beautiful campus, and the dedicated staff, there was a more vital draw: at Kuoh Private Academy, even an ordinary person had the chance to break out of their cocoon.
There was a legend of a regular male student who had once rescued a dying black cat out of pure kindness. Afterward, he didn’t just get a cat-girl for a wife-he successfully mastered Mana and became a powerful Magic User. Looking at the sprawling, luxurious buildings before him, Aki secretly marveled at Kuoh Academy’s sheer financial power.
The Occult Research Club preferred to stay low-key. Their building was large, but it lacked the visual impact of the sports clubs, which clearly received the lion’s share of the budget.
In some schools, you would find separate men’s and women’s divisions for kendo or basketball, but Kuoh Academy was different. While the locker rooms were separate, training occurred in the same facilities. The academy provided each sports club with a massive activity room that functioned as a small indoor stadium. This eliminated the need for clubs to rotate through a shared gym and gave the boys and girls enough space to train separately. This setup also perfectly facilitated Aki’s plan.
Following his memory, Aki arrived at the Kendo Club. As soon as he walked in, someone in charge stepped forward to greet him.
”Hey there, are you looking for someone?”
”No, I’ve recently become interested in kendo,” Aki replied. “I wanted to try out the club experience.”
Aki scanned the room and felt a surge of disappointment. Because they were mid-practice, most of the members were bundled up in heavy armor. You couldn’t see their faces, let alone their figures. At best, he could distinguish their genders by the occasional kiai shouts.
Only a dozen or so new members were practicing their swings without masks in the corner of the dojo. Aki observed them for a while with his Insight Eye² but found no desirable targets. After wandering around for a bit, he made an excuse and left.
After leaving kendo, Aki headed to the Kyudo Club, then the Tennis Club, the Swim Club, Gymnastics, Taekwondo, Karate… His excuse was always the same: he was interested and wanted to try the club experience. Regardless of how enthusiastic the clubs were, Aki told them all he would go home and think about it.
Aki was strategic about his choices. The most important factor was combat potential, followed by the presence of outstanding female members. Strong women were far more likely to possess high combat “Talent.” It wasn’t a guarantee, but it was a better bet than searching at random. By the time he finished his rounds, Aki was pleasantly surprised.
Aside from the random students, he had discovered several beautiful girls he recognized from his memories. There was Miyajima Sakura from the Kendo Club, Sakuramiya Saya and Sakuramiya Hinata from the Kyudo Club, Suzumori Mizuki from the Track Club, Nanao Akane from the Baseball Club, and Shinonomiya Natsuha from the Karate Club.
The real shockers, however, were Uzaki Hana in the Swim Club and Echizen Nanako in the Tennis Club. Compared to the sea of “Inner World” characters, “official” anime characters were incredibly rare.
In this world, these official characters were like SSR-tier cards. No matter how strong they were, the drop rate was abysmal. Despite finding these rare flowers, Aki’s view of the world remained unchanged. Even in a Cthulhu-inspired nightmare, you’d find someone acting normal once in a while. Finding a few “official” characters didn’t mean this wasn’t still a dark, doujin-logic world.
As the sun began to set, Aki had scouted most of the sports clubs. He mentally noted his targets, planning to approach them one by one-not just the famous heroines, but also the high-performing girls in the clubs. They might not be as alluring as the main characters, but their looks and figures were still well above the average.

Two kilometers southwest of the school gates, a group of delinquents lurked in an alley, scouting the passersby.
”Boss, what do you think of that kid?” one asked. “He looks like a total pushover.”
”Yeah, him. Those Kuoh Academy kids are all fat sheep,” the one called Boss replied.
The man with the pompadour flicked his cigarette butt away. “Be careful. Go test him out first.”
As locals who spent their lives in this area, they knew the risks. Kuoh Academy students were rich, but you could easily run into a “hard stubble” if you weren’t careful. Some looked weak but could fight ten men at once. Others were trailed by bodyguards in the shadows-and not just one, but a whole squad. Or they had terrifying family backgrounds, like yakuza heirs or the daughter of the Police Chief.
”Got it. I’ll check him out,” the first delinquent said.
He stood up and strolled toward Aki, who was deep in thought. As they passed each other, the delinquent suddenly slammed his shoulder into Aki’s. Aki swayed slightly but easily held his center of gravity; instead, the delinquent stumbled back from the impact. Aki stopped and looked at the man with the neon-colored hair with a look of pure innocence.
”Excuse me, was there something you needed?” Aki asked.
The delinquent was confused but stuck to the script. “Huh? Something I need?” He glared fiercely, dramatically clutching his chest. “You just ran into me! Don’t you have eyes?”
Aki maintained his clueless, innocent expression. “Oh, I ran into you? I’m so sorry.”
”You think a ‘sorry’ is enough?”
”Then… do you want to bump into me too?” Aki asked with a tilted head.
The delinquent’s face darkened. “Who the hell wants to bump into you?!”
”Then what do you want?”
Aki subtly moved back two steps, avoiding the delinquent’s sprayed saliva while sizing up the rest of the gang in the alley. The delinquent lunged forward, grabbing Aki by the collar.
”I’m telling you, this isn’t going away without a hundred thousand yen! You aren’t going anywhere!”
”Oh, you want money. You should have just said so,” Aki said with feigned realization. “But I don’t carry that much cash. I’d have to go to a bank to get it.”
Thanks to his “Cuckold Template,” handling this was second nature. Aki checked the time. The honeymoon period of peace was clearly over. The one day he didn’t walk home with Hamazaki Reina and the others, trouble found him immediately.
Seeing how compliant Aki was, the delinquent froze, thinking he’d caught a real “nerd” fish. “I’m not walking to a bank. Give me whatever you’ve got on you right now.”
”But I don’t have a single cent on me,” Aki replied, tilting his head again. “Maybe… you should just try bumping into me again?”
”I’ll bump your mother! You little brat, are you messing with me?!”
Aki shook his head with a sigh. (He figured it out that fast? I wasn’t even done playing yet…)
