Vital-Master v1c19

Volume 1 Chapter 19

 ”…So, that’s what happened.”

After school, in the dorm room.

I had just finished my daily routine of performing Vital Point Treatment¹ on Mana. In return, she’d provided the ultimate “thank you”—a handjob that left me completely spent.

With that out of the way, I was explaining to her what had happened during my mock battle with Minami-chan.

”I see. So that’s the story…” Mana said. “Kanade-kun, your Dungeon Job is certainly impressive, but it doesn’t exactly seem built for direct combat—at least not yet. If that’s the case, was there a specific reason you were able to beat Minami-san?”

”Yeah, that’s the thing… It looks like Minami-chan has a pretty massive weakness right now.”

It was true that I’d won because I landed a single surprise attack. But the way Minami-chan’s movements completely fell apart after that one hit was nothing short of bizarre.

Students who train in Phase Zero dungeons are supposed to be able to keep fighting even after taking a few hits. But she couldn’t.

”I talked to her after the match,” I continued. “And it turns out… she’s incredibly, pathologically bad with pain.”

”…? She’s… bad with pain?” Mana asked. “Well, I suppose that fits her look and personality, but still…”

It was only natural that Mana looked stunned. We’re at a Dungeon Academy. This place is literally for training people to fight monsters.

For a student here—someone who lives and breathes combat—to be incapacitated by a little pain… to put it bluntly, it was weird.

”She’s managed to get through the basic training so far, so she could clearly endure normal scrapes and bruises. But apparently, during the exam for the Phase One dungeon permit, the instructor landed a hit that just… snapped her spirit.”

”Ah, that makes sense. That instructor’s blow was absolutely devastating, after all,” Mana replied.

Mana remembered it well. She’d been sent flying by that same trial, but she’d forced herself back up, her will to fight unshaken. Minami-chan, however, had been broken by it.

Since then, even in standard drills, her threshold for pain had plummeted. The moment she took even a glancing blow, the pain would consume her focus, making it impossible to stay in the fight.

”And that is why she lost to me the second I touched her,” I said.

”I see… That’s a difficult position for her to be in.”

Mana seemed convinced. If this were just idle gossip, the conversation would have ended there. But there was a reason I’d brought it up.

Mana must have sensed it. She tilted her head slightly, looking at me with a touch of curiosity.

”…Is there a specific reason you’re telling me all this, Kanade-kun?”

”Yeah… See, her problem? I think I can fix it. Probably.”

Mana’s eyes went wide as she processed that.

”…Wait. You don’t mean… using your ability on Minami-san too?”

 ”Yeah.”

”But would your current ability even help her situation? …Wait! I’ve got it, Kanade-kun! You found a new pressure point, didn’t you? One that triggers an effect different from Physical Augmentation!”

As expected of the girl they call the Class President. She was already two steps ahead of me.

”Exactly. I found another pressure point recently that supports the Vital Point Treatment… and the effect it produces is perfect for what Minami-chan is going through.”

”I see… but why didn’t you tell me about this new pressure point sooner?” Mana asked.

I knew she’d ask. It was the one question I was dreading.

 ”The thing is… this pressure point… it’s in a really… problematic spot.”

 ”A problematic spot…?”

Mana’s gaze instinctively drifted down her own body—past her soft, swelling breasts, and further down.

Her eyes suddenly went heavy and unfocused, and a deep rose-pink flush spread across her pale cheeks. She was imagining something… and frankly, she looked dangerously enticing.

”Oh, no, it’s not—I mean, it is an awkward spot, but not quite in that way. It’s… well, it’s a weird place.”

”…A weird place? Hmm. I give up. I have no idea,” she replied.

Even Mana couldn’t guess this one. I was going to have to just say it, as hard as it was.

 ”…Okay. So… it’s… it’s in the buttocks. Specifically… it’s a pressure point located at… the anus.”

 ”…The… the anus? That anus?”

The sheer shock of the location finally broke her composure.

”Yeah. That one. So, it’s not exactly ‘lewd’ in the traditional sense, but… you see why I had a hard time bringing it up to you, right?”

 ”………Yes.”

Mana looked down, casting a shy, flickering glance my way. She was incredibly cute.

”Anyway, back to the point… the effect of treating that spot is exactly what Minami-chan needs right now. I felt like a total creep, but I explained the whole thing to her. And she said…”

”She told you she wants you to do it… didn’t she?” Mana asked.

”Yeah. She said even if it meant being touched in a place like that, she’d do anything if it gave her a chance to remain a Dungeon Explorer.”

Minami-chan had been scarlet-faced and shaking with embarrassment when she said it. But her eyes… her eyes were dead serious.

”I understand how she feels. I felt the same way,” Mana said quietly.

”When I got the Sage job, I thought my path as an Explorer was over. Then I saw your skill.

”I didn’t know your fingers had those… side effects… back then, but even if I had, I would have let you do it. In this world, dungeons are everything.

”We’ve killed ourselves studying and training just to get into this academy. I can’t even imagine a future where I’m not allowed to dive.”

 Mana’s expression was solemn.

Hearing her say that made me truly glad I’d awakened the [Vital Point Practitioner] Unique Job, even if I still haven’t figured out my own path to Phase One.

”…So, Kanade-kun… please, help Minami-san. Besides, you want to help her, don’t you?”

 ”I do, but… I was worried about… you, Mana.”

That was the hang-up. The idea of me touching another girl’s body. Even if the anus wasn’t s*xual, it was an incredibly private, personal part of someone.

Mana and I had this ritual—the sounds she made, the way she took care of me afterward… it was special.

She was my favorite of the Four Heavenly Kings, and to be honest… I loved her.

We weren’t officially boyfriend and girlfriend yet, but I wanted us to be. She was the most important person to me. Touching another girl like that… I didn’t know if I was even allowed to do that.

”Hehe… I’m happy, Kanade-kun. Knowing that you’re putting my feelings first means everything to me.”

Mana smiled, her voice softening. “And because you’re that kind of person, I want you to help her even more.”

 ”Mana…”

”Now, don’t look at me like that. However…” She trailed off, a mischievous glint entering her eyes. “Since you’ll be touching another girl, I think I’ll have to set one condition… or rather, make one little request of my own.”

 ”A request?” I asked.

”Yes. And since you’re going to be hands-on with someone else, you’re not allowed to say no!”

 Summary:

Kanade discusses his recent mock battle victory over Minami with Mana in their dormitory. He explains that Minami’s primary weakness is an extreme psychological aversion to pain, which stemmed from a traumatic injury during a Phase One dungeon exam. Kanade reveals he has discovered a new, albeit socially awkward, pressure point located at the anus that could potentially help her. Mana encourages him to assist Minami, empathizing with the desperation to remain an explorer despite her own initial embarrassment. Their conversation reaffirms their deep mutual affection and Kanade’s loyalty to Mana as his primary partner. Mana ultimately grants her permission for him to treat Minami, but only under a mysterious condition of her own.

 —

 Trivia:

 - The mention of ‘Phase One’ entrance exams highlights the steep difficulty curve and psychological toll of the academy’s ranking system.

 - Mana’s internal reflection on the [Sage] job suggests that certain jobs in this world are perceived as dead-ends for frontline exploration.

 - The ‘mischievous glint’ and ‘request’ at the end suggest that Mana intends to assert her dominance or claim a unique benefit from Kanade’s new discovery

 —

 Character Insight:

Kanade demonstrates significant growth in emotional intelligence by prioritizing Mana’s feelings over the efficiency of his skill. Mana shows her strength as the ‘Class President’ by balancing her personal jealousy with her empathetic duty to help a struggling peer, effectively cementing her role as the lead heroine who manages Kanade’s harem-like situation.

 —

 Lore And Worldbuilding Context:

The concept of ‘Vital Points’ is expanded beyond simple physical buffs to include treatments for psychological or specialized conditions. The ‘Phase Zero’ and ‘Phase One’ dungeon tiers establish a clear hierarchy of student capability and the high stakes of failing to progress.

 TL Notes:

The term ‘Tenketsu’ (Vital Point Treatment) is kept consistent as a proper noun to reflect its status as a system-recognized skill.

 —

 Glossary:

¹ Tenketsu (点穴): The practice of striking or applying pressure to specific acupuncture points to affect the body’s flow of energy or physical state.

Notes:

• Mana – Class President, a serious, refined beauty with long black ponytail, glasses, and a neat, lovely appearance, wields the [Sage] job with mature observance and elite close-quarters combat skill. Though once dating soccer ace Kosaka—now depressed and feeling worthless—she’s deeply supportive of Kanade as his strategic confidante and partner, displaying bold, inquisitive curiosity during intimate moments, including requesting a (Tenketsu) treatment while wearing indoor sweatpants and pure white underwear. Her disciplined, almost clinical demeanor masks a sadistic competitive edge, honed through martial arts, yet her loyalty and emotional depth reveal a complex soul beneath the polished exterior.

• Minami – Minami, also called the ‘Loli Princess,’ is one of the Four Heavenly Kings. She has a petite, doll‑like, childlike face and a flat physique. As a Light Warrior with elite dual‑wielding skills, she serves as a Dungeon Explorer despite an extreme phobia of pain, determined to stay in the role. She is an idol‑like figure within the group.

• Kanade – Small-statured dungeon academy student and protagonist with the Unique Job [Vital Point Practitioner] (Tenketsu), specializing in pressure-point manipulation for defense and physical augmentation. Analytical and observant, he studies dungeon mechanics and combat styles while struggling with self-doubt over his failure to reach Phase One. Deeply infatuated with Mana, he navigates an intimate, erotic relationship with her—easily flustered by her boldness, yet fiercely protective of her trust—despite his virginity and a mysterious cheat skill that eliminates his refractory period. He feels competitive with Kosaka, cynically dismisses government-mandated classes, and quietly admires the Class President, though he questions his leadership. His embarrassing yet effective new application of Tenketsu has begun to shift his standing—both in battle and in Mana’s eyes.
