Now, back to the Captain’s office to finish the conversation. I left Vice-Captain Cassandra resting in the infirmary. She was a “beauty as long as she stayed quiet,” much like Mercedes, though in a different way. It was a waste for her to always be scowling.
”Wow, Daisuke, you’ve really grown strong,” Captain Emily said. “I thought you’d struggle a bit more, but winning that easily was a bit unexpected.”
”I’m honored,” I replied.
(Did I overdo it?) I’d tried to hold back enough to look natural, so hopefully, I wouldn’t attract any unwanted attention.
”Since it looks like a good match, why don’t you fight me, too?” Emily asked.
”No, no. I don’t fight without a reason,” I replied.
”How cold. Even if we dueled, the problem is the ‘Reward’ you’d accept. You don’t seem interested in money or status, so that only leaves my body…” Emily teased.
Was Captain Emily a battle maniac? She kept that wicked smile, letting a mysterious, suggestive atmosphere linger. I mean, Captain Emily was certainly attractive, but if the “Reward” for a duel was that twice in a row, the rumors would be disastrous. Demanding a body as a dueling prize was practically villainous. Besides, by this world’s standards, both of them were “older women,” so the gossip would be even stranger.
”…That was just a joke,” Emily said. “I’m married, so I have no intention of doing it with anyone but my husband.”
”Phew… That’s a relief,” I replied.
It seemed it really was a joke. I was worried about the reputation damage, but I was also glad I wouldn’t have to lay a hand on a married woman. (Though Captain Emily is a bit of a waste…)
”Even if a full duel is out, just a light spar would be fine. Give me a hand,” Emily said.
”Well, if it’s just light…” I replied.
”Oh, really? That helps. When you get to my level, there aren’t many chances to fight someone of equal or higher standing,” Emily said.
”I understand,” I replied.
I didn’t like fighting people, but I understood the feeling. There weren’t many B-Rank adventurers, and even within the Knight Order, the top tier seemed limited.
”My recommendation wasn’t wrong, was it?” Mercedes asked.
”It wasn’t Mel’s power, but it was certainly Mel’s achievement,” Emily said.
”Hehe, right? Right! Praise me more! With this, we can call it even for the hole I made in the wall yesterday, right?” Mercedes asked.
”That’s a separate matter,” Emily said.
”Why!?” Mercedes cried.
”As if that would be okay. Go fix it properly,” Emily said.
”No way…” Mercedes groaned.
Mercedes had apparently made a hole in a wall somewhere. As usual, she was a habitual destroyer of property. She hung her head in disappointment, but she obviously had to fix it. (Why did she think she’d be forgiven?)

We ended the chatter there, and Captain Emily gave me the details of the request.
”Did I mention the destination, departure date, and the expected monsters?” Emily asked.
”Are the other adventurers decided?” I asked.
”Yeah. Since I didn’t make the C-Rank¹s a nominated request, I called you once they were gathered. We leave soon, so you can just introduce yourself when we meet up,” Emily said.
”I see,” I replied.
There were supposed to be three to five C-Rank parties. It didn’t seem like the Gale Party took it, but I’d check when I got home.
”I’ll be in command of the subjugation unit, but I’m leaving the coordination of the adventurers to you. If you use that polite tone with C-Ranks, they’ll walk all over you,” Emily said.
”I understand,” I replied.
There are fools everywhere who get carried away if you’re too polite. I didn’t need to care if I wasn’t close with them, but if I was the coordinator, I couldn’t afford to be looked down on. I’d use casual speech from the start.
”That goes for Cassandra, too. It’s the result of the duel, so it should be fine, but I’ll mention it to her as well,” Emily said.
”Come to think of it, you’re right,” I replied.
At home, I didn’t care, but normally a slave didn’t use casual speech with a master, and a master didn’t use honorifics with a slave. A Vice-Captain who was also a slave was a complicated position. To the other knights, I—the master of Vice-Captain Cassandra—would probably be hard to deal with.

”I understand. I have to prepare, so I’ll be going now,” I said.
”Yeah,” Emily said.
”I’ll be in your care starting tomorrow!” Mercedes said.
I’d be away for at least a week, or ten days if it took long. I’d report to Dietlinde-san later, but I had to let Clarissa-san and Regina-san know by letter. I should probably tell Vanessa, Nicola, Gerta, Elisa, and Meta, too. And the Yamato Nadeshiko party, Rei, and Manami. I didn’t know where to send a letter to Mia, so I’d go see her if I had time. If not, I’d apologize later.
As for the slave girls… During the mission, Vice-Captain Cassandra would be treated as a slave, but I didn’t think she’d be obedient, so I didn’t want the three of them to meet her.
I also didn’t know what the “activated” monsters were like, and Elemental³s were still too much for them in a fight. I could protect them, but I shouldn’t let the mission suffer for it. The conclusion was to have them stay home. I’d have to ask the three from Gale to look after them.

I stopped by the Guild to tell Dietlinde-san I’d accepted the request, and she said, “Please be careful.” It was a social courtesy, but she hadn’t even done that much in the beginning. If I could get along with the “Salt-Response⁴” Dietlinde-san, Vice-Captain Cassandra’s “Chili-Pepper Response⁵” would eventually soften, too. Since she was a beauty, I wanted to get on good terms.
”So, I’ll be heading out for a while starting tomorrow,” I said.
”That’s so sudden,” Juliet said.
I went home to report and consult with everyone. Juliet seemed in a bad mood. She wouldn’t say it honestly, but she got lonely easily.
”I was surprised, too, but it can’t be helped,” I said.
”I see… even though we finally started living together, it’s lonely,” Sylvie said.
”Sorry, everyone,” I said.
”No, if it’s a mission, it can’t be helped. Especially coming from the Knight Order, it’s not something we can change,” Ines said.
”I… I guess so,” Juliet said.
Sylvie was purely lonely, but Ines understood the necessity. Juliet understood too, but her cat ears and tail went limp.
”The Gale Party didn’t take this request, right?” I asked.
”Right,” Ines said. “We’ll be away for a bit, and the Reward isn’t that great.”
”We don’t really need a connection to the Knights, either,” Sylvie added.
”I see,” I replied.
The B-Rank⁶ reward of twenty gold coins was per party. For C-Ranks, it was lower. As Sylvie said, the reward was cheap, but you could make connections and potentially be recruited. The Gale trio didn’t care about that, but many adventurers wanted to join the Knights, so it was probably popular. Maybe that’s why it took time to select them?
”While I’m gone, can you look after Liese and the others? They’re fine with normal life, but I’m (Anxious) about Liese walking alone,” I said.
”That’s fine,” Ines said.
”We’ll be going to the dungeon, so should we take Liese and the others?” Sylvie asked.
”Yeah, that would help if you could pick them up,” I said.
”Should we let them Level up? I can’t exactly do that on the eleventh floor, though,” Juliet asked.
”No, that’s fine. They can go to the third floor, but the fourth is still (Dangerous), so no,” I said.
”Understood,” Ines said.
”Daisuke is (Anxious) by nature… but alright,” Juliet said.
The three of them seemed fine with it. Since I was bothering them, I wanted to pay them back. Liese and Ilse agreed without opposition, but Camilla…
”Master… can’t we go with you?” Camilla asked.
”Sorry, Camilla. Unlike the usual dungeon, it’s dangerous, so I want you to stay home,” I replied.
Lately, she’d finally been able to sleep separately, but Camilla still wanted to be pampered. She grabbed my clothes with teary eyes. I could pull her away, but… I had to persuade her.
”I’ll ask you to stay home this time, but when I get back, I’ll grant one wish for Camilla,” I said.

”I can guess Ilse’s, so you don’t have to say it,” I said.
”Got it! I’ll look forward to it!” Ilse said.
”Yeah, do that,” I replied.
Ilse nodded happily. (She really is a lewd brat…)
”…Hey,” Juliet whispered.
She tugged my sleeve, looking like she wanted to say something.
”Do we get nothing?” Juliet asked.
”Of course, you three too. Tell me anything within my power. I’ve said it before, but feel free to ask normally,” I said.
”Hehe… anything?” Sylvie asked.
Sylvie gave me a pressing smile. (It should be fine, right?)
”Anything within my power,” I replied.
”Understood,” Sylvie said.
”I wonder what I should ask for…” Ines mused.
I managed to appease everyone. Each was thinking, but Ilse was the only one who’d decided. Sylvie was smiling pleasantly. (It’s a bit worrying, but there’s no ill will, so it should be fine. Probably.) Ines was blushing and smiling, so she was likely thinking of something sweet. Juliet was thinking silently. Her face was red, but she wasn’t as expressive as Ines.
”If we can’t be together for a while, let’s all sleep together tonight,” Sylvie suggested.
”All of us?” I asked.
”Yes. I’m lonely, and I think Ines-san, Juliet-san, and Camilla-chan are, too. Is that no good?” Sylvie asked.
”I don’t mind, but… Ines and Juliet?” I asked.
”I’d be happy to sleep together,” Ines said.
”…Me too,” Juliet whispered.
Ines and Juliet were lonely, too. Ines gave her usual soft smile, and Juliet thumped her tail against her leg.
”Camilla is a given, but Liese and Ilse, too?” I asked.
”If it’s not a bother,” Liese said.
”Me too! Once in a while is fine, right?” Ilse asked.
It was rare for Liese to speak her mind. She prioritized serving me, but showing her will was a good sign.
”Alright. Let’s all sleep together,” I said.
”Yes, Master!” Camilla cried.
”Hehe,” Sylvie giggled.
We could connect beds from other rooms, but the positions were a problem. If I was in the middle, a single row wasn’t enough.
”How should we sleep?” I asked.
”How about this?” Sylvie suggested.
Sylvie’s proposal:
* Daisuke in the middle.
* Two people on each side.
* Two people on the outside of the arms.
* One person on top.
* One person at the head.
It was a literal “Meat Futon⁷.” (My self-control is being tested…!)
”The head position is a bit weird,” Juliet noted.
”True, but that’s the only spot where you can kiss Daisuke-san,” Sylvie teased.

Sylvie was considerate and gave Liese an equal chance. It was hard for me to say, so it helped. Since Ines and Liese were about my size, having them on top would be difficult to sleep. And if Liese or Camilla were on top, it’d be bad if I got an erection. (Seriously, stop it…!)

”Master, I don’t think I’m fit for the side, so I’ll swap—” Liese started.
”Liese, I’ve said it from the start, but I think you’re an attractive woman. If you don’t hate it, this is fine,” I said.
”…Yes. Understood,” Liese whispered.
Liese had tried to swap out of consideration for the Gale trio, but it was a fair lottery, so no one else was asking for a change.
”Daisuke, if I’m on top… am I not heavy?” Ines asked.
”Not at all. It’s fine, I’ll hold you properly,” I replied.

Ines’s kiss made Juliet exasperated, while Sylvie kept her usual smile. Among ourselves, they’d become quite proactive. We went to bed early, thinking of the next day.
However, Ines on top had overwhelming volume in her chest. Juliet on the left was hugging me and pressing her chest against me. Liese on the right was more reserved in size and pressure. Camilla on my right arm hugged me tightly, her hand sandwiched by my thigh, and Ilse on my left was the same. And Sylvie, as declared, delivered a storm of kisses.
