Volume 1 Chapter 48
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Minami-chan¹ had successfully overcome her greatest weakness: her susceptibility to pain.
After testing her mettle against Goblins on the first floor of Phase One a few times, she decided to change her tactical approach. She made the decision to abandon ‘Defense Enhancement’ via the anus pressure point. What did she start using instead? It was ‘Stamina Enhancement’ via the n**ple pressure point.
There had been a suggestion to use ‘Physical Augmentation’ pressure points just like Mana, but in the case of Minami-chan, whose fighting style utilized her speed, she decided it would be more efficient to extend the time she could fight at full power using ‘Stamina Enhancement’ pressure points. Minami-chan had originally reached the final floor… and now that her combat power had significantly improved with ‘Stamina Enhancement,’ it was only a matter of time before she cleared the Phase One dungeon.
”I have to work hard too…” I muttered.
Minami-chan told me she wanted to enter the Phase Two dungeon together with us. I want to clear the Phase One dungeon as quickly as possible so I don’t keep her waiting too long. (To do that, I have to master this [Pressure Point Eye]² and [Adversarial Pressure Point]³…)
In front of me stood an unarmed Goblin. The first time I used [Adversarial Pressure Point], the Goblin had been mysteriously buffed, but that empowerment wasn’t meaningless, was it… After somehow defeating the Goblin back then, it dropped a [Dungeon Stone]. When I tried repeatedly defeating Goblins by pressing that same pressure point, I discovered that the [Dungeon Stone] dropped with a very high probability.
”In other words, that pressure point on the right chest is a ‘Drop Rate’ increase pressure point… and as a side effect, the Goblin gets strengthened.”
The drop rate of [Dungeon Stones] after pressing that pressure point easily covered the rental fee for the [Kobold Breastplate]. Furthermore, I’ve found that [Goblin Ears], which are a rare drop from unarmed Goblins, also drop with a decent probability. Normally, if one continued to defeat Goblins on the first floor of the dungeon, they would gradually fall into the red, but by using the ‘Drop Rate Increase’ [Adversarial Pressure Point], I’ve become able to live a profitable life.
”That said, I don’t want to live a life where I just keep killing Goblins forever…”
When it comes to that, the remaining two pressure points—the ones that aren’t on the Goblin’s right chest—become important. One is the pressure point on the stomach. Since I’ve just reached the unarmed Goblin, I dive into its personal space while dodging its attacks and extend my finger toward the pressure point on its stomach.
”…Damn, a failure!?”
The first time I used it, I succeeded on the first try, but [Adversarial Pressure Point] doesn’t have a success rate high enough to be called easy. Unlike when I perform [Pressure Point] on Mana, Minami-chan, or Haruka-san, the enemy Goblins naturally try to avoid my attacks. After slipping through attacks and approaching to attempt [Adversarial Pressure Point] several times…
”Alright! It worked!”
The Goblin’s movements suddenly grew sluggish. Once it’s in this state, it’s completely my turn. Even with ‘Defense Enhancement,’ a Goblin’s attack hurts quite a bit, but I take almost no damage from a Goblin in this state. Furthermore, the Goblin’s defense drops. As I continue to slash at it with my Goblin Sword, the Goblin soon turns into smoke and disappears.
”So, while it’s great that the second pressure point makes combat easier… in this case, the drop rate doesn’t go up, does it…”
As I move further into the dungeon after defeating the unarmed Goblin, an Armed Goblin carrying a Goblin Sword appears. When I stare intently at the body of such a weapon-wielding Goblin… just like with the unarmed Goblin, I can see round, glowing spots on the chest, stomach, and buttocks.
”Now then, this time… let’s go for the one on the buttocks!”
I fight the Armed Goblin using my standard method. When the Goblin swings its sword, I parry it to break its balance and circle around to the Goblin’s rear.
”Right here! Haaah!!”
”Skreeee!!!”
When I drive my finger into the Goblin’s buttocks with a shout, the Goblin screams, and I feel the sensation of Dungeon Energy decreasing. It seems the [Adversarial Pressure Point] went in on the first strike this time. The Goblin turns back toward me… and its body gradually begins to swell…
”Skreeeeeeeeee!!!!”
With a piercing cry, the Goblin’s body bursts apart. The Goblin immediately turns to smoke and vanishes.
”So, it’s an… instant-death type [Pressure Point] pressure point… Wait, isn’t this way better than the second pressure point?”
Whether to inflict a debuff or cause instant death… setting aside fighting humans, as long as I’m facing monsters, instant death seems far superior. (Ah… maybe… is it that…?)
Something occurred to me, so I move further ahead toward a third monster, a Goblin Mage. As I approach, the Goblin Mage fires a Fireball at me as expected. I dodge it, close the distance rapidly, and drive an [Adversarial Pressure Point] into the pressure point I saw on its buttocks, just like before.
”Skreeee!!! Skreeeeee!!!!”
The Goblin Mage bursts apart while letting out the same cry. In other words, I was able to kill a Goblin instantly again, but…
”I knew it… My Dungeon Infiltration rank doesn’t go up with this…”
Even though the gains are quite small now, it’s not as if my Dungeon Infiltration rank doesn’t rise at all from Goblins. However, when I use this third instant-death [Pressure Point] pressure point, it seems my Dungeon Infiltration rank never increases.
”So it’s the type of skill where you can defeat them easily, but you can’t level up… Perhaps there’s also a side effect where drops won’t appear…”
If that’s the case… the second debuff skill also has its own meaning. The first pressure point makes monsters stronger but increases the drop rate. The second pressure point weakens monsters and makes them easier to defeat. And the third pressure point can kill monsters instantly, but the Dungeon Infiltration rank won’t rise.
”If I can use these three pressure points effectively… I might… just might be able to clear Phase One…”
A light had finally appeared on the path to my conquest of the Phase One dungeon.

Summary:
The protagonist experiments with different ‘Adversarial Pressure Points’ on Goblins to understand their effects. He discovers three distinct points: one increases drop rates but buffs the enemy, one debuffs the enemy for easier combat, and one causes instant death but grants no experience. This discovery provides a strategic path to finally clearing the Phase One dungeon.
—
Trivia:
- Minami-chan switched her enhancement from Defense to Stamina for better speed efficiency.
- Pressure points on monsters are visible as glowing round spots.
- Using the ‘Drop Rate’ point allows the protagonist to profit despite dungeon rental costs.
- The instant-death point consumes ‘Dungeon Energy’ upon use.
- Defeating enemies with the instant-death point yields no rank progression
