Chapter 64 Messenger from the Knight Order

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

After seeing Yashiro-san off, Meena returned alone, which surprised me enough to spark a minor panic.

”Why are you by yourself? Did something happen to the others!?”

”No, no, I’m just a messenger,” Meena replied with a dejected sigh. “Since Amelia-san is with them this time, I didn’t really have much to do.”

”Oh… I see. Well, as long as you’re safe. So, what’s the word?”

”Well…” Meena started, brightening up slightly. “The King of Karl¹ has requested our presence. Do you want to come along?”

I tilted my head, processing that. Apparently, the King wanted to express his formal gratitude for the Orc King matter². It was a rare chance for an audience with the sovereign of a nation. Erina-san had suggested the meeting, figuring that if we got our side of the story in regarding Duke Dole’s corruption now, it would prevent us from being framed as the bad guys later.

”Makes sense. Should we grab Senior and the rest of the Hero party, then?”

”I wonder if Yamada-kun will actually show up,” Yui-san mused. “He’s probably going to hate this.”

”Yeah… he’s likely gone full primal by now,” I joked.

”No, I didn’t mean that. He hated the parties we had back home, too, remember? Though I guess your ‘primal’ theory is just as likely,” Yui-san added with a shrug.

I figured it would be fine. This was a conversation we’d planned to have eventually, so as long as there weren’t any major hitches, he’d likely agree.

”Should we head to the Cat-kin village first, then?” Yui-san asked.

I nodded, and after asking Charlotte-san and the others to watch the house, we set off. Upon arriving at the village, the locals gave us their usual warm welcome and pointed us toward Kuria-san’s place. The house was empty, though; apparently, Kuria-san and her companion were out hunting.

”They should be back any minute,” Kuria-san’s younger sister explained.

She had the same bubbly, fearless personality as her sister. Once she realized I was the one who’d hired them, she beamed and invited us inside, mentioning she’d been dying to meet me. We settled in for some small talk while we waited.

”So, is Senior really going at it like a maniac?” I asked, deciding to lean into some raunchy humor now that I was comfortable with her. I wanted to see if I could find some dirt to tease him with later.

”Oh, absolutely!” she chirped. “But for the longest time, it was just my big sister. It took forever to finally get him to lay a hand on me, too!”

”Wait, Yamada-kun… even the younger sister?” Yui-san blinked, looking stunned. She sighed, quickly coming to terms with the reality of this new world. “Well, I guess that’s just how things work here. Honestly, it’d be more of a problem if he stayed single while leading the charge as a Hero, whining about ‘modern ethics’ or whatever.”

”Yeah, I get that,” Yui-san continued. “I was just caught off guard by the whole ‘Sister Sandwich’³ thing.”

 (Well, she’s not wrong…)

”It surprised me a bit, too,” I admitted. “I figured Senior was the type who’d keep shooting the idea down, saying ‘that’s going too far.’”

”Hehehe! He did say that! A lot!” the sister giggled, looking quite proud of herself. “So, my big sister helped me out. We tricked him into a ‘blindfold play’ session and I just slipped right in. ♡”

She gave us a cheeky little “tee-hee” look. (Is that really something to be proud of…?)

”Well, Senior is going to have to take a lot of wives eventually anyway, so this setup probably works out for the best,” I said.

”Yay! Big Sister’s Master gave us his blessing!” she cheered, striking a cute pose. She definitely had that calculated charm Kuria-san was famous for.

Just then, Senior walked into the room.

”Sorry to intrude—” He froze, his eyes darting nervously toward the younger sister.

”It’s okay,” Yui-san said, her voice dry. “We already know everything.”

 Senior’s face went bone-white.

”Senior, you look pale, but two wives isn’t going to cut it. I’m not even joking,” I told him. “You can turn down anyone you actually dislike, but this isn’t the kind of world where you can just stay faithful to one person.”

”Wait… what?” Senior stammered, looking utterly lost.

I took the time to explain the sexual landscape of this world to him, both here and abroad. I told him about the Wing-kin village, where the male population was so decimated that every man had to do his part for the village’s survival. He listened with a grim, serious expression.

”So it’s not just this village…”

”Nope. It sounds like the human lands are the same way. In fact, you’re the weird one if you try to stick to just one woman. Maybe it’d be different if men weren’t being sent to the front lines, but both sides are throwing everyone into the meat grinder.”

”I guess that tracks… Duke Dole’s soldiers were all men,” Senior muttered. “But man… I didn’t realize it was that intense.”

He still looked hesitant, despite clearly having already crossed that line with the sister.

”If the girls are into it, why are you still overthinking this?” Yui-san asked, giving him a flat, judgmental stare.

”Sato-san… have you already accepted this kind of thing?”

”I mean, yeah. To be honest, once it’s your own life, it’s not as bad as you’d think. Everyone treats each other like family.”

”Right?” Yui-san added, sharing a cheerful look with Meena.

Senior looked like he’d been hit by a truck. While he was busy having his existential crisis, I pivoted to our actual business: the audience with the King of Karl.

”I told you about it before,” I reminded him. “I need you to come with us.”

”Right, I remember. But what exactly am I supposed to do?”

”Nothing, really. But Erina-san and the others have their own agendas, so I want to make sure the final say stays with our group.”

Senior looked visibly relieved. “That’s a weight off my shoulders.”

”We’re heading into human territory, so Kuria-san, you’re staying behind for this one. We can’t bring your kind over there just yet.”

 ”Aww… I’ll be lonely, but I understand.”

”Don’t worry, Senior will be back in no time. Three days, tops.”

At the news that he’d be back soon, Kuria-san and her sister beamed, immediately dog-piling Senior. The three of them started flirting and being touchy-feely, making the most of their last few minutes. The younger sister was being especially bold, and the more Senior tried to play it cool, the more he stood out.

It looked so cozy I got a little jealous, so I pulled Yui-san and Meena closer. When I gave Yui-san a firm hug from behind, she turned around with a smile.

”What’s this all of a sudden?”

”Call it a counter-attack. I wasn’t about to let them show us up.”

”Hehe, fair enough,” Yui-san laughed. “So, how far are we taking this ‘counter-attack’?”

Meena gave me a sly, devious grin.

”I mean, you can do whatever you want, but we’re leaving in a minute.”

”Ehhh!” They both groaned, but they immediately latched onto me in a suffocatingly tight hug.

I just scooped them both up and called out to Senior.

”I’m ready. Let me just give the Cat-kin Chief a heads-up,” Senior said.

The three of them went to give their report while still tangled together, but they were back in a flash. With that, we began our journey toward the royal capital of Karl.

 Summary:

Departing from their current base, the protagonist and his companions visit the Cat-kin village to recruit Yamada-kun for a diplomatic mission. A raw discussion about the world’s polygamous necessity forces Yamada-kun to confront his lingering modern morals. The group prepares for an audience with the King of Karl while the girls engage in competitive affection

 —

 Trivia:

 - Yamada-kun is referred to as ‘Senior’ because he was the protagonist’s upperclassman back in their original world.

 - The ‘Sister Bowl’ (Shimai-don) is a Japanese culinary pun frequently used in adult media to describe having s*x with sisters.

 - Duke Dole is established as a corrupt figure whose influence the group is trying to counteract.

 - Cat-kin characters like Kuria are generally more sexually aggressive than humans in this setting

 —

 Character Insight:

Yamada-kun shows extreme cognitive dissonance; he is engaging in polygamy physically but still attempts to maintain a ‘monogamous’ moral facade, which the others find increasingly impractical.

Notes:

• Yashiro – The King of the dragonewts who possesses long-lived physical strength and carries a mace. After being defeated and conditioned by Ibuki, she becomes submissive and devoted to him.

• Meena – A 18‑year‑old thief with a youthful look, about 140 cm tall, works as the group’s cheerful messenger. She’s upbeat and helpful, but feels dejected when her workload is cut. A slave easily overwhelmed by Ibuki’s crafting, she blends youthful appearance with a resilient, supportive role.

• Amelia – Quiet, expressionless white short-hair girl with red eyes—smallest in the crew but arguably strongest—once robotic, now opening up, happy with Master’s food/clothes, craving to repay kindness. Ibuki’s loyal CQC bodyguard who goes full deredere lovey-dovey post-intimacy, struggles with personal dreams but sticks by his side.

• Erina – A 17‑year‑old swordswoman and slave under Ibuki’s contract, originally from Paul, with drill hair, a refined noble‑like air and speech suggesting she was once a high‑born lady.

• Hero – Ibuki’s upperclassman from Earth—summoned as the naive Hero with emotional, mentally fragile personality. Empathetic yet reluctant and inadequate-feeling, lacking survival instincts and political skills. Currently in despair and terrified by his situation.

• Yamada – Summoned from Japan, he is a Hero now bound to the Kingdom of Dole as a magically enslaved servant. Dressed in armor and wielding a sword, his combat skill rivals a Knight Commander after rigorous training. Known as Senior by his family name, he grapples with the new world’s shifting social and sexual morals.

• Yui – An Earth‑born upperclassman in a crisp school uniform with gentle eyes, she is a summoned Sage and core group member who keeps a level‑headed view of the team’s dynamics. She bridges the protagonist and Yamada‑kun, falls deeply for Ibuki in a polygamous world, recoils from violence yet vows to fight fiercely to protect him.

• Charlotte – Late‑teen slave girl, short and skinny with messy brown hair and feline eyes, once Level 8 farmer now Level 10 bound to Ibuki. She calls him “Master” and herself his wife, wearing his bat‑wing hairband and pretty clothes he makes. Clingy, protective, emotional, she follows him on runs, fights and flights, always fearing she isn’t useful, yet trusts his strength in duels like the one with Yashiro.

• Kuria – A cat‑kin beast‑girl servant in Ibuki’s house, with feline ears, tail, and sleek fur. Bold, affectionate, and flirtatious, she’s a skilled hunter who loyally cleans and wipes down the crew for Senpai, maintaining a close bond with the senior.

• Sato – A Japanese upperclasswoman, summoned as the Sage, bears the Sato family name used by Yamada‑kun. Grounded and cautious beside the protagonist, she is highly emotional—sobbing while comforting the Saint—yet hides fear, seeking mutual support. When annoyed she gives a jito‑eye, a scornful half‑closed stare.
