The first day passed without any major events.
Near the Royal Capital, patrols from the Knights’ Order and adventurers were common, so only Horn Rabbits appeared. A figure resembling a bird-person (harpy) flew overhead, but its wings looked unusually small…?
”Little ladies, we’re about to reach the campsite,” said the guide.
”Okay♪” the girls responded.
We were going to spend the night at a camp. There were towns with inns along the way, but going out of our way would take an extra day. Since the request included camping from the start, that was fine.
For a normal party, preparing meals would be difficult, but ours wasn’t. Usually, starting a fire is tough, but Camilla could use Fire Magic, so that was easy. Nobody could handle Water Magic well, but we had a magic item borrowed from Daisuke-san, so it wasn’t a problem. Raw meat would spoil, but we brought plenty of jerky.
”Nicola, meat is the source of energy. Our master said we can use it freely, so put in more,” said Liese.
”Ah, okay,” Nicola replied.
While cooking, Liese strongly requested more meat. I liked meat, but Liese’s appetite was impressive—she ate as much as one might expect to get scolded if it weren’t for Daisuke-san. Daisuke-san just watched with a gentle smile, never blaming her. The earnings of a B-Rank adventurer really made a difference…
”Well, Daisuke is strange in various ways, not just because he’s B-Rank,” Camilla commented.
”Ilse, do you have any complaints about our master?”
”Not really… but I think it’s wrong to judge him by B-Rank standards… I think,” Ilse said hesitantly.
”That’s true. From what I hear, not all B-Ranks live this easily,” said Liese.
”So our master is amazing, right!” Grete chimed in.
”Exactly,” Ilse agreed.
”Well, that makes sense,” Camilla added with a snort. Liese nodded. Ilse didn’t argue, only smiled wryly. Grete was smiling cheerfully, and I agreed. I didn’t know Daisuke-san’s full abilities, but I was glad Vanessa-san had introduced him that day.
My first experience with Daisuke-san was shocking. Vanessa-san had mentioned it lightly, but it was far beyond what I imagined. Being hugged to ease my tension made me feel safe, and all the pleasurable places on my body were gently touched with hands, tongue, and p**is… My mind went blank, sparks seemed to fly before my eyes, and I felt like I was floating away.
Pleasuring myself was nice, but it couldn’t compare. Vanessa-san said, “There won’t be a better first experience, and even not the first, it’s amazing,” so I was very lucky to have Daisuke-san for my first time.
”Haa… that was incredible…” I murmured.
”Nicola? Are you okay?” someone asked.
”Wha!? Y-yes, I’m fine!” I replied.
”Hehe, you were thinking about Daisuke-san, weren’t you?”
(Sniff…) I realized… (Nicola really likes Daisuke.)
”Y-yeah,” I admitted.
”Really? Nicola-chan has a boyfriend?”
”Uh, yes,” I said.
”You’re young, Zelma,” Camilla commented.
”Yeah, mother,” I replied.
I had been spacing out, but I couldn’t say I was imagining my first experience. Thinking about it made me a little wet… It seemed not only perceptive Grete but also sharp-nosed Liese noticed, which was embarrassing. But since he made me his girlfriend, I would have him again when we got back.
During the meal, I talked with the clients, mother and daughter Zirke-san and Zelma. Since Zirke-san originally lived in the destination town, she regularly went there for acquaintances and business.
Zelma’s husband and children stayed in the Royal Capital to run the store. Zelma’s eldest child was around the same age as Camilla (about twelve) and really liked her. They were quite fond of Camilla, even asking, “How about our son?” But Camilla firmly said, “I’m my master’s girlfriend!” That’s just Camilla.
* * *
Even while traveling along town streets, we couldn’t ignore night watch duties. The five of us took turns keeping watch. But since it was boring, I sometimes stared at the crackling campfire and thought.
During meals, I felt a little envious of how much Camilla was doted on. I didn’t have such memories of being doted on.
My family were farmers, both parents of the farmer class. My father lived in another town and wasn’t home much, so I barely remembered him. My mother was always calm and responsible.
She kept telling me, “Be able to handle things on your own.” I vaguely remember her letting me be spoiled when I was little, but after my younger sister was born, I couldn’t. I was ScoutClass, and my sister was FarmerClass. It was obvious who should inherit the farm.
Even though it wasn’t comparable to the Royal Capital, our town had limited combat-class work. Helping with farming when I wasn’t suited for it didn’t contribute much, and my family couldn’t support me staying at home. So by the time I was ten, they told me to “stand on your own quickly.”
Even if I wanted to leave early, going out without preparation would mean I couldn’t earn and would die quickly. So I spent my days helping at home while honing my skills and actively hunting Horn Rabbits to level up.
There were other problems at home, possibly more serious. In our countryside town, there were few boys, so I didn’t have relationships, but I was curious. I became interested because I saw my parents. Seeing my usually calm mother make sweet sounds was unbelievable at the time. I was shocked but also extremely curious.
From that day, I wondered, “How can I feel that pleasure?” and soon reached onanism. I was scared to insert fingers inside, but touching my clitoris and n**ples gave me pleasure. I was embarrassed when my mother caught me a few times… Each time made me want to leave home faster.
At a time I was pondering leaving home, I met Vanessa-san, who had returned home, and she took me to the Royal Capital. She introduced me to Daisuke-san, and I was lucky she was from the same hometown.
* * *
The incident happened early afternoon on the second day. The journey went smoothly, and we were on a town street in the forest when wolves attacked.
”Everyone, monsters are coming from the downwind side! Six of them, probably wolves!” Liese shouted.
”Grete and I will go ahead to stop their feet. Camilla and Ilse, attack the enemies whose feet are stopped. Nicola, protect the carriage,” Liese continued.
”Understood. Zirke-san and the others, hide inside the carriage!” Grete said.
”Got it. Be careful!” I added.
Liese and Grete took command and prepared for battle.
I could win a one-on-one fight, but since I could only use a dagger, I wasn’t suited to holding off multiple enemies.
I had barely finished my rushed preparations when six wolves appeared. Their number was one more than ours, but I had to protect everyone!
”Let’s go! First strike wins!”
”Growl! Grrrrr…”
Liese charged forward and stabbed the lead wolf. Luckily, it seemed to hit a vital spot, and the wolf stopped moving immediately. As expected of Liese—quick to decide and bold. We successfully reduced their numbers early on.
From there, the battle became a bit of a stalemate. Liese was holding off three wolves, and Grete was drawing two, but the wolves were fast, and Ilse’s arrows weren’t hitting the right spots. And Camilla—
”Wolf… no, don’t come!”
Camilla, who usually attacked enemies aggressively, was trembling. Now that I thought about it, I’d heard she’d been nearly killed by wolves before. It seemed remembering that left her frozen.
”Camilla, focus! You can do this! You’ve been practicing hard with Daisuke-san, haven’t you?”
”Ugh… Master…”
”Exactly! Finish this mission and get Daisuke’s praise!”
Ilse and I called out to encourage Camilla. At worst, the fight could continue without her, but if she remained afraid of wolves, it would cause trouble later. Thinking about the future, I wanted her to pull herself together.
”Ugh… I want Master to praise me… Master to praise me, Master… praise me!”
”Fire, Camilla!”
”‘Firebolt!’”
Camilla somehow steadied herself and cast Fire Magic. It only grazed a wolf, probably causing no real damage. She managed an attack, but her body was shaking—it might still be too hard for her to overcome.
”Ugh… it didn’t hit.”
”Keep going! You don’t have to hit everything, just keep casting!”
”Y-Yes!”
Under Liese’s direction, Camilla repeatedly cast Fire Magic. At first it only brushed them, but gradually her attacks began landing properly. The wolves’ movements slowed, and without missing a beat, Liese took down one, then quickly finished off the remaining two.
”Good work♪”
”Man, I didn’t know how this would go at one point.”
”Bad luck that wolves showed up…”
With Grete’s part also done, we regrouped and exchanged impressions.
”Sorry, I held everyone back…”
”Indeed, if you’d been using attacks or illusions from the start, it might have ended a bit sooner.”
”…Yes.”
”But since we finished without any harm, it’s fine. You did well, Camilla. You overcame your fear of wolves, so Master will surely praise you.”
”…Yes!”
”Hehe, that’s great, Camilla♪”
”Good girl, good girl, I don’t fully understand, but great job, Camilla-chan.”
”Thank you.”
Zirke-san patted Camilla and praised her. As Liese said, neither the client nor the luggage, nor we, had suffered any real harm. It was impressive that they overcame the trauma.
”Then shall we go♪”
”Yeah!”
Grete, the mood maker, said brightly. The destination was nearly in sight.
* * *
In town, we were able to stay at an inn, so we could rest comfortably. The bed was harder than at Daisuke-san’s house, but until recently, this was normal. Meals consisted of hard bread and a soup centered on potatoes and vegetables. Of course, there was no meat. This, too, had been standard until not long ago.
”I’ve gotten used to luxury…”
”That’s true♪ Daisuke-san has to take responsibility♪”
”Ahaha…”
We had become lovers, but we hadn’t thought much beyond that. Grete was so responsible.
”Nicola and Grete, you mustn’t indulge in luxuries beyond your means,” someone reminded.
”That’s true, but Liese, you must be disappointed about not being able to eat meat, right?”
”…No, it’s not a problem at all.”
Liese’s tail drooped weakly, making it obvious she was disappointed. It was a cute trait of dignified Liese, so no one mentioned it.
* * *
On the first day of the return trip, while moving along the town street, Liese and the others noticed enemies.
”Upwind… I smell what seems to be Bandits from the front left,” Liese said.
”Yes… four or five?” another replied.
”Probably about that number,” came the response.
Dragonewts and Beastmen have keen noses, so under certain conditions, they can detect enemies earlier than scouts. Wild monsters rarely come from upwind, but humans can ambush regardless of wind. We had no reason to be attacked unprepared, so we hurriedly assumed battle positions.
”We know you’re there, come out!” someone called.
When we spoke, the Bandits, who had given up on a surprise attack, revealed themselves. Since they couldn’t enter town, their gear was tattered, and they clearly hadn’t bathed recently, so they smelled awful. Their eyes were glaring, which was unnerving. Five men was slightly unusual.
”Hehe… young women, boss,” one said.
”Three days ago, our previous boss, right hand, and strategist were killed by some unknown guy. I wondered what would happen, but luck’s coming our way now,” another added.
”I’ll take that tiny fox girl!” one shouted.
”Wait, even for beasts, the price for a first one is completely different. If we touch her, we’ll get killed,” someone objected.
”Then if she’s not a virgin, it’s okay to do it, right!?”
”As long as we don’t break her, it should be fine.”
”Yes! We’ll reclaim our unpopularity!”
They said whatever they pleased, but that was probably why they were unpopular. Also, “unpopularity” should be “revoked.” We didn’t point it out.
They hadn’t used skills, but they spread their hands threateningly and approached. They had surrounded us, seeming experienced in mischief. They weren’t much different from monsters after all.
”Hehe, made you wait,” one taunted.
”I’ll show you some love? That teal side-tail girl, I like quiet ones… hehe,” he added.
”Eh… no, thank you,” Camilla replied.
”Don’t say that. I’ll make that smug face of yours bend soon. Gufufu.”
”I hate it because it’s creepy,” she said.
”Don’t say creepy!”
”Well… but it’s still creepy, right?”
”Yeah, it’s creepy.”
”Old man, you’re creepy.”
”You women! If I’m kind, you get full of yourself!”
It seemed like one Bandit had taken a liking to her, but did he really think she’d be pleased? He seemed dim.
”Take this! First hit!” one yelled.
”Whoa!? That was close! You’re young but skilled. I welcome your liveliness,” another said.
”He dodged. Seems like this will be tough,” someone remarked.
Across the battlefield, a Bandit swung a sword, which another barely avoided. The other three Bandits started fighting each other around the same time.
”Ha!”
”Gyaaah!”
Seizing the chance, Liese defeated one. The remaining Bandits glared at each other two versus two. We watched from behind, though we were far from idle.
”Camilla, how is it?” someone asked.
”…Everyone is engaged,” Camilla replied.
We were at ease because Camilla’s illusion was working. The Bandits thought they had surrounded us, but the illusion guided them to fight each other. We defeated everyone except their leader, who then noticed the trick.
”Damn! Illusion! Now that I think about it, there was that fox. I let my guard down because she’s small,” the leader muttered.
”Small?! I am not small!” Liese snapped.
”Heh, what is the shorty saying. If you’d behaved, I would have shown you some love,” he sneered.
”…A little mad, but since my master will show affection, it doesn’t matter,” Liese thought.
”Hmph, spiteful kids despite appearances,” someone commented.
”Enough idle talk. If you surrender, I won’t take your life,” said another voice.
”Make them spill! Good things will happen if we defeat you!” Camilla shouted.
The leader had been bluffing, but five versus one quickly ended it. Their weapon skill was higher, but they couldn’t resist the illusion and attacked the wrong directions.
”Damn… three days ago… if I had escaped when our leaders were blown to pieces…”
Something had happened three days ago? Well, it was fine not to dwell on it.
”It’s all right now♪” someone cheered.
”Good work. You little ladies faced the Bandits without stepping back. That was cool,” Zirke-san said.
”Thank you very much♪” Grete replied.
Grete, skilled at being spoiled, was praised by Zirke-san and others. For some reason, it had the opposite effect on Daisuke-san, but since she was almost treated like a lover, she didn’t lose out. Maybe a little enviable.
The Bandit attack was repelled without particular problems, and we safely returned to the Royal Capital. Of course, the request was successful, and the promotion test was passed.
”Everyone did it♪ Congratulations on the D-rank promotion♪”
”Yeah!”
”Go home quickly and get praised by your master!”
”Ahaha, that’s right.”
We contacted Daisuke-san to report that we returned to the Royal Capital and passed the test. Since we had a borrowed communication Magic Item, it was convenient for times like this.
”Master, I passed the exam,” we said.
”Is that so? Congratulations! I’ll celebrate with a meat-filled meal, so come home quickly,” Daisuke-sama replied.
”!!! Yes, immediately!”
At the mention of a “meat-filled meal,” Liese’s tail thrashed violently. Maybe she was more excited about that than passing the exam?
”What are you dawdling for? Master is waiting. Let’s go home,” someone said.
”Yes♪”
Since the tension was gone on the way home, we walked while chatting happily. Liese was a bit fast, eventually running, but no one complained. We all wanted to get home quickly.
At the house entrance, Camilla clung to Daisuke-san, Grete did the same, and Liese and Ilse were patted proudly. I wondered the last time I had been spoiled or praised by my parents. I hardly remembered being pampered by my mother, but I wasn’t disliked. When I left home, I was given a few silver coins as a farewell gift, and I clearly remembered her words.
’This might be the last time I can do something for Nicola. Sorry I couldn’t take care of you much. Even so, Nicola is my daughter, and I always wish for your safety.’

Meta Tsedes: “Nicola’s mother is actually a good parent, isn’t she?”
Meta: “Yes. To encourage independence, I deliberately left her alone.”
Meta Tsedes: “By the way, that suspicious bird person, could it be…?”
Meta: “It’s Daisuke-sama.”
Meta Tsedes: “He also blew the Bandit leaders to pieces?”
Meta: “It’s Daisuke-sama.”
Meta Tsedes: “Finally able to fly, huh.”
Meta: “For Daisuke-sama, that’s nothing difficult.”
Meta Tsedes: “I see…”
Meta: “Your heart isn’t in it. Should I make you retake the beginner course?”
Meta Tsedes: “As expected of Daisuke-san! Amazing! Clap clap clap clap!”
