Volume 11 Chapter 4 Various Things about Transferee
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Hum, hum-hum-hum~♪ Heading out with Master~♪”
”You’re in a good mood.”
”Yes!”
Today is Yellow Day, the day for my weekly library routine. I head toward the library, bringing along Camilla who asked to accompany me. I have some business with her to take care of after the library, anyway.
”Hello, Clarissa-san.”
”Yes, hello. Daisuke-san.”
Clarissa-san welcomes me with a bright smile that is dazzling. I feel a sense of pride—how about that, my lover is the best! I really can’t understand why she isn’t more popular.
Regardless, she is technically at work, and even though there are few people around, it is a shame I can’t give her a hug.
”It is amazing that you come here every single week without fail. The entrance fee is not exactly cheap, either…”
”It’s true that the entrance fee was tough at first, but now it’s no problem. Besides, I don’t really have any reason to go to other libraries.”
The Royal Capital, which is the center of politics and economy in the Maultasche Kingdom, has other libraries. For instance, the Commercial Guild has a room they call a library, though it’s not really large enough to earn the name. The collection is naturally specialized in trade, which doesn’t interest me since I have no desire to be a merchant. In reality, there is no other place in the country that beats the Royal Library in terms of volume and variety of books.
”Besides, this library is more wonderful than any other in the world.”
”Is that so? I don’t know much about libraries in other countries, but I imagine a vast Empire or a country with a long history might have rare books.”
”No, this place is absolutely the best. And you know why…”
”?”
”Because Clarissa-san is the librarian here.”
”Hau…! D-Daisuke-san, you always say things like that…♡”
Clarissa-san getting bashful and embarrassed is just too cute. She seems happy, though, so it’s not like she hates it. In the beginning, she didn’t take my compliments seriously, and even after that, she would be modest, but lately, especially since becoming my lover, she has started to accept them honestly. That is a good trend.
I want to keep watching my cute lover, but it would be bad to get in the way of her work too much. I can feel eyes on us, after all.
”Ahem… What are you looking for today?”
”Today, I’m looking into the Demon King and Transferees.”
”Yes, this way.”
Clarissa-san looks a little reluctant to leave, but she switches into work mode with her usual routine business smile. I didn’t come here just to mess around, after all. I follow Clarissa-san while watching her swaying hips. They are truly excellent, soft-looking hips. I know for a fact they are soft. Since I am taking things slowly with our relationship, I suppose full-on groping will have to wait a little longer.
”Master?”
”It’s nothing.”
* * *
What is a Demon King? How are they born? What makes them different from normal monsters? I’ve looked into it briefly, but since I have no intention of getting involved in killing a Demon King, I haven’t researched it seriously.
In the first place, people in this world have the simple understanding that “if a Demon King appears, the Hero will defeat it.” Even Adventurers like Ines and her party who fight monsters daily don’t think about it deeply, so it’s even less of a concern for non-combatants. Judging from the books in the library, even the scholars don’t seem to have investigated their ecology or the process of their emergence.
Still, there are a few things we can understand from past records. Appraisalⁿ often gets blocked when used on higher-ranked beings, so there aren’t many records, but the Hero who created the Appraisal Stone successfully appraised a Demon King. By the way, his moniker was the “Hero of the Divine Eye.”
Now, that Demon King’s Ability score was a maximum of 16,000, with an average of around 15,000. The standard for defeating a Demon King is a Hero at Level 80 with an Ability score of around 6,000, which rises to a maximum of about 12,000 with weapons like the Holy Sword, various accessories, and buffs included. Even then, it doesn’t reach the Demon King, so you can’t win normally. However, Heroes have cheat skills called “Monster Slayer”ⁿ and “Beacon of Hope”ⁿ. The former increases damage dealt to monsters including the Demon King, and the latter increases the party’s Ability score. Since these can be stacked with other buffs, they are finally able to defeat the Demon King.
These skills are possessed by all Heroes, but they only manifest for Heroes. In other words, if the Hero is killed, it’s game over. This is also the reason why only a Hero Party can defeat a Demon King. Without these skills, you would need to be around Level 100, but there is no record of anyone like that.
For that reason, the backing of the country that performed the summoning is focused on the Hero above all else, with other Transferees being treated as extras. In the worst-case scenario, they will prioritize the survival of the Hero even if it means sacrificing other party unit members. In fact, there have been party unit members who died in battle acting as decoys to let the Hero escape. For example, there is the anecdote of the Red Copper Demon King, called the strongest Demon King of the past, where the fleeing Hero used a [Wishing Device]ⁿ to achieve a massive level-up. This [Wishing Device] was kept under strict guard in a Sealed Vault until just recently, but it is a dangerous Magic Item that Otto took out.
By the way, the Demon King defeated by the Hero of the Divine Eye apparently had a “newbie killer” configuration where its skill set didn’t match its appearance, and it was only because he possessed a high-level Appraisal that he could defeat it.

Speaking of mysteries, we Transferees don’t really know much about ourselves either. It’s to be expected that reincarnation itself is mysterious, but even among that, we are somewhat irregular.
The composition of Transferees has been fixed to “fewer than ten Japanese men and women from around the years 2000 to 2020” for the last ten times or so. However, it hasn’t been the same from the very beginning; there have been different situations in the past.
For example, gender. Sometimes it’s only men or only women, but there have been mixed groups. It doesn’t seem to be decided which is better, and it’s relatively random. However, lopsided ratios like five men and one woman are avoided.
Class after reincarnation. Basically, it’s set up so the party can form with “high-ranking classes” that have high Ability scores, but there aren’t always a Sword Saint or a Sage every time. At first, it seemed truly random, but lately, there is a reason for the classes. Whether it’s the former high school girl Rin as an Ice Mage or Takumi, who acts like the Hero Party’s town thug, as a Holy Knight, there is likely some reason for it, even if I don’t know it.
Age group. Even if we become younger, if the original ages were too different, our common sense might differ. It’s what’s known as a generation gap. This time it’s broad, but that might be because there are so many of us.
Nationality. At first, it seems it was only Japanese, but after that, there have been parties consisting only of people from other countries. There have also been times when the nationalities were all over the place. The “Hero of Wrath”ⁿ, who reacted to a specific pattern, were a single non-Japanese country, while the feminist “Hero of Self-Righteousness”ⁿ were from multiple countries.
The era in which we originally lived. The first Hero Party was about 2,000 years ago, but it seems their era of previous life wasn’t that different from ours. Other Transferees since then have had original eras that differ by hundreds of years. There have even been cases where it differed within the party, which must have been very difficult.
Compared to these past cases, the reason we are irregular is our number. Twenty people is more than double the usual, and the highest in history. It’s true that we all died in the same place at almost the same time, but large numbers of casualties occurring due to disasters or such isn’t that rare. I wonder if there is some reason why there are so many only this time.
Furthermore, just because we died at the same time doesn’t mean everyone reincarnates. It might be chosen randomly, but there seems to be some kind of condition.
In particular, there are no Transferees who were ten years old or younger in their previous life. This has nothing to do with generation gaps between Transferees; it’s likely because they were mentally too immature to be independent from their parents or wouldn’t notice the usefulness of cheats. I believe Yuko’s child was one or two years old, so I suspect that fell into this category.

”Daisuke-san, thank you for today as well. It’s closing time.”
”Thank you for your hard work, Clarissa-san.”
The end is the usual routine pleasure: cuddle time with Clarissa-san. No, it’s not like it was my goal from the very start.
”Um, by any chance, are you going to head out to defeat the Demon King, Daisuke-san?”
”No, no, I just looked into it because I was a little curious. The Hero Party will handle the Demon King, so I don’t have a part to play.”
”I see. I’m relieved.”
I seemed to have “minded” her a fair bit during the duel the other day, and that goes double when facing a Demon King.
For the record, the Demon King has never failed to be defeated, but it’s not rare for some members of the Hero Party to die. As I heard from Günther-san immediately after reincarnation, the “Hero of Greed”ⁿ party, who stole his lover from the party’s Berserker, was wiped out after defeating the Demon King. I understand well the feeling of not wanting me to go to such a harsh battle. I don’t want to go either.
”By the way, have you been able to get along with Ines and Grete and the others?”
”Yes. They are all good women, and they have been kind to me.”
”I think so too, Master.”
”That’s good to hear.”
Both of them are smiling, and there is no reaction from my Insight Skillsⁿ, so it seems fine. The most long-winded one is Juliet, and Ilse follows by speaking her mind clearly, but even they don’t pick fights without reason.
”I’ve heard it can get awkward when there are many wives or lovers, but fortunately, we seem to be fine. You are kind, Daisuke-san, so everyone is the same, aren’t they?”
”No, no, I chose them because they have good personalities; it’s not my achievement. That applies to you too, Clarissa-san.”
”Oh my, someone like me… But thank you, I’m happy♡”
My heart feels like it’s going to be pierced by Clarissa-san smiling bashfully. If Regina-san came, she would probably keep an eye on everything, but with the current unit members, Sylvie and Grete are likely watching things closely. Kind and attentive, they are also lovers who are hard to come by.
”And you too, Camilla.”
”Ehehe~♡ Thank you, Master♡”
When I praise Camilla while stroking her head, her tail wags furiously with a huge smile. She really is easy… easy to understand.
”Ah, we’ve reached the exit already.”
”It’s a shame, but I can see you again on Blue Day. I’ll be waiting.”
”Yes. Then, ‘usual routine’, please. You too, Camilla.”
”Yes, go ahead♡”
”Yes!”
Clarissa-san snuggles in from the front, and Camilla clings tightly from behind. It’s hard to tell from the librarian uniform, but I can feel her large breasts. They are soft, squishy, and fluffy. And, casually, I move my hand just a little below her waist to enjoy her large, soft hips. I exercise restraint and don’t actually grope them, though.
”Daisuke-san… mmh…♡”
She’s a beautiful older sister who gives me not just a hug but a kiss with those glistening eyes. The fact that she’s still a bit shy is cute. By the way, Camilla is snuggling from behind and sniffing. Since she looks satisfied, I’ll let her do as she likes.
”…Until the day after tomorrow, then. But… I’m still a little lonely.”
”Me too. Then, let’s do it one more time…”
”Yes…♡”
As if to make me forget the loneliness of days when we can’t meet, I kissed her not just once, but multiple times. She gave me a big, happy smile, so I think she was satisfied. Sent off by such a Clarissa-san, I left the library.

Meta Tsedes: “I have researched the Demon King somewhat due to my job, but what about you, Meta-san?”
Narrator: “I have no interest.”
Meta Tsedes: “What if Daisuke-san were to fight him?”
Narrator: “It is regrettable that I cannot participate in the battle, but I will investigate thoroughly to at least support Daisuke-sama. If you go to the Temple, there may be information that is not in the library.”
Meta Tsedes: “You are willing to go to the Temple, which you disliked so much…”

Clingy and enthusiastic, she is the First Blood party’s “Black Gyaru Trio” fire mage/debuffer. As Daisuke’s affectionate, marking-obsessed second slave and fifth lover, she expresses deep attachment through physical action.
• Clarissa – Clarissa is a 26-year-old human librarian at the Royal Library and Daisuke’s devoted ninth Lover. Standing 160cm with a soft, curvy, busty build and long blonde hair, she anchors others with her healing presence. Though a serious, unlucky D-rank Adventurer skilled in fire and illusion magic, she hides age insecurities and deep stress regarding violence behind warm, protective, bashful smiles.
• Daisuke – Daisuke is a lean, 170cm Japanese reincarnate and cynical B-Rank solo adventurer with short, tousled dark hair and amber eyes. Analytical and proactive, this former virgin uses modern earth knowledge, wind/healing magic, a spear, and a hidden 3,500 base score to hunt monsters. Rejecting subservience for equal partnerships, he protects his multi-member harem, despite an Ordeal system penalty.
• Ines – Ines is an 18-year-old, 170cm human D-Rank Magic Swordsman with long emerald hair, blue eyes, a sturdy build, and a highly voluptuous frame with very large breasts. Clad in college-style armor, this Wind Magic specialist is the dignified, motherly leader of the Gale (Hotwind) Party. Daisuke’s first Lover, she calmly mediates household arguments but secretly hides her loneliness with clumsy affection.
• Otto – A 170cm, stout, late-40s exiled Hero’s Party tank (lvl 52) with a buzz cut and bulky armor. A possessive, woman-obsessed doctorate holder, he lacks combat ability and was expelled for stealing from a Sealed Vault. Serving only Shouta and Takumi, he tyrannizes Ren and staff, feigns mentorship, hoards Maultasche artifacts in the Souveraineté Empire, and is easily manipulated by Sakura.
• Takumi – Teenage Holy Knight in modest armor, summoned as Level‑1, once a delinquent from the ‘go‑home club.’ Arrogant, over‑familiar, hedonistic and hot‑headed, he serves as the party’s tank. Beaten by Martina, betrayed by his girlfriend Sakura, and now part of the Hero Party.
• Rin – A tall, long-haired B-rank adventurer and brilliant ice-magic healer, she hides a passionate heart behind a stoic, blunt façade. She shares a flirtatious, evolving bond with Daisuke and intends to move in with him to remain close to Camilla.
• Yuko – A 17-year-old, 160 cm transferee with a half-up hairstyle and thin armor, she is a reincarnated 40-year-old Earth civil servant now serving as Lady Xaveria’s apprentice. Lethargic and low-leveled, her massive pride and toxic entitlement cause her workplace relationships to fail. She spends lunch meetings complaining about her workload and wastefully spending money, isolated by her elitist mindset.
• Günther – Commander of the Knights’ Order, a former commoner now in polished silver armor bearing the royal crest, scarred left cheek and weary blonde hair. A Krieger by blood, Cassandra’s uncle, he mentors the Hero’s Party, wields healing magic, opens the Sealed Vault, and loyally serves King and Martina—trusted yet burdened, and would scold Emily if Cassandra collapsed.
• Grete – Seventeen-year-old human Grete is a popular D-rank Spearman, 165cm tall with an average build, freckles, and short orange hair. Wearing a chic, ruffled black dress, this extroverted PR specialist for the ‘Lovers’ party flashes a playful, diabolical smile. Highly sensitive to emotions, she moved into Daisuke’s house as an aspiring lover and a well-informed companion who tracks combatant data.
• Juliet – Juliet is an 18-year-old, 150cm-tall cat-beastwoman with blue bobbed hair, a large-breasted, average build with faint abs, and expressive ears/tail. A sharp-eyed, grumpy-looking tsundere and Gale Party instructor, she wields a greatsword and the rare Idaten skill. Outwardly tough, she is deeply protective of Daisuke as his anxious third Lover. Privately, she is a spoiled, cuddle-loving brat.
• Ilse – Ilse, a 17-year-old tiger-kin archer with a petite, boyish frame and gold-and-black hair, is a level-18 Beunemünde Guild member in Daisuke’s party. A whimsical companion whose daily routine features nothing in particular, this former slave-bandit masks deep devotion to her found family with blunt humor. Acting as the witty straight-man, she even struggles to track high-speed spear fights.
• Regina – Regina is a 27-year-old human former noblewoman and courtesan, 165cm tall with a well-proportioned body, very large breasts, and blue-purple hair pinned with a barrette. Retaining timeless beauty from a Rejuvenation Potion, she hides insecurities about aging behind a playful, flirtatious demeanor. She resiliently runs the Daydream brothel with maternal grace as Nora and Rita’s senior mentor. Deeply intimate with Suzuki Daisuke as his eighth Lover, she is currently processing her formal resignation.
• Sylvie – A 140cm elven spirit mage with long, wavy blonde hair and blue eyes, she pairs a flat-chested, loli-like appearance with an adult build and playful, motherly charm. A bright, curious, and insightful mediator, she masks loneliness with a cheerful disposition. She is Camilla’s older sister and Daisuke’s magic teacher, confidante, and pampering lover. This veteran Heatwind adventurer wields Water/Wind.
• Meta Tsedes – A statuesque knight with raven hair, amber eyes, and polished armor, she serves as a dramatic commentator who analyzes and reacts to events involving Daisuke-sama. Her voice is honeyed yet venomous. Driven by an unshakable, highly flexible loyalty to the Order’s code, she frequently prompts conversations and questions the actions of others, filtering narrative events through her sharp perspective.
• Tsedes – The second half of the meta-commentary name structure tied with Meta, interacting directly with the Narrator regarding the dark tone of the chapter.
• Meta – A 160cm, plump, 25-year-old blonde priestess, former duchess, and divorced knight, she is Daisuke’s fourth lover and party mediator. Wearing high-waisted robes and a pink aura, she shows absolute devotion to him but remains cold to other men. Socially isolated by her “Apostasy” titles, she serves an orphanage and joins the Narrator in meta post-chapter commentary on the narrative and her past.
