Izumi Haruka and Higuchi Maria sprinted through the Kichijoji Dungeon, their forms perfectly cloaked by the Wraith Potion1.
Their objective: the rescue of the captive Aina.
Ideally, they wanted to extract her in secret before the situation escalated, but reality rarely offered such luxuries. The contingency plan was simple: stalk the perimeter of her holding area and strike the moment she appeared.
”Just like Sakurako-san said. They’re here, Maria.”
”Sure enough, Haru-haru…”
Two men stood ahead, patrolling the interior with the practiced air of guards. One look at their rough, unkempt appearances was enough to rule out the possibility of them being accidental dungeon strays.
Minami and Sakurako had spotted similar patrols during their own infiltrations, but they had been shackled by the need for stealth. Fighting would have blown their cover.
Maria and Haruka, however, were playing by a different set of rules. The entry guards were already neutralized, and the main strike force was closing in on the Rock-fortress where the KSK Three held court. Even with the hope of a surprise attack, the moment they engaged, the cat would be out of the bag. Why leave these loose ends alive when they had the power to snuff them out?
”What do you think? Should I handle it?”
”Yeah, leave it to Haru-haru. If I use my greatsword, I might accidentally squish them.”
”Fair point. We don’t owe these scumbags, who would harm their own kind in an age like this, any mercy. But there is no reason to carry the sin of killing such pathetic trash, either. My mace is much easier to control.”
With a carefree shrug, Haruka drifted toward the two men. While her ability-enhancing skills were potent, the Wraith Potion rendered her sacred-attribute magic useless. Not that it mattered. She did not need divinity to put them down.
She surged forward, her foot catching the ground and boosting her speed. The men noticed the sudden cracking of the dungeon floor, but by the time they turned to look, Haruka was already at their backs.
Her massive mace swept upward.
THUD. CRUNCH.
Two clean strikes to the temple, and they crumpled to their knees, face-planting into the dirt. They were out cold.
”So…” Haruka mused, hefting her mace, her gaze drifting downward toward the men’s exposed rear ends. “Should I finish them off? They are, after all, the type of people who kidnap women for… that purpose.”
Had Kanade been present, he surely would have felt a phantom ache in his own vitals2. Fortunately, he was nowhere to be seen.
”Mnn, just leave them? It will get your mace all dirty, Haru-haru. Plus, if you smashed them like that, some guys might actually get off on it.”
”Get off on it? …I guess you have a point. Honestly, if it were Kanade-kun doing it, I think I would enjoy even the rough stuff, too. ♡”
”I get that! Kanade-sama’s ‘do-S’ vibe is honestly the best, isn’t it? Just one swat on the butt would be enough to send me over the edge… ♡”
Chattering away, they produced a length of sturdy rope made from Dungeon Material and proceeded to bind the unconscious men tight.
”That should keep them from causing any trouble, right?”
”Yup. These ropes are too strong for them to slip. I wouldn’t even mind if they died, but… they do not look weak enough to get finished off by the local rock lizards.”
As it turned out, the dungeon’s resident monsters would indeed pick a fight with the bound men shortly, but not severely enough to be fatal. Unaware of this, the pair pushed forward, efficiently neutralizing and binding every patrol they crossed.
By the time they had secured a tenth captive, they reached the rock-fortress—the lair of the KSK Three. The night was quiet; most of the inhabitants were fast asleep.
”Minami and the seven others are in that cave down there, right?”
”Yeah… once the fighting starts, Minamin should be able to slip out.”
”In that case, I should be ready to support them if needed. Maria, could you hold down the area near the exit?”
”Got it. I’m better at crowd control anyway. You taking the high ground, Haru-haru?”
Maria glanced up toward the peak of the fortress. Haruka followed her gaze and nodded.
”Yeah. If I keep an eye on everything from the top, I can react to any changes in real-time. I will wait up there and watch for the main force. I will help Minami escape, try to grab Aina, and play the rest by ear.”
”Understood! See you later, Haru-haru! Stay safe!”
”You too, Maria.”
They shared a hug—the intimate, trusting embrace of two women who shared the same heart—before vanishing into their respective shadows.

• Higuchi Maria – Blonde, tanned gyaru Maria Higuchi, nicknamed “Boob Gal,” is a tank explorer wielding a greatsword for the “Headlong into Gyaru” team. A member of the Four Heavenly Kings, she wears tiger-skin hot-pants and a bikini top, boasting a very large chest and high durability despite losing her lower left arm. She is deeply devoted to her partner Haruka and teammate Kanade.
• Izumi Haruka – An androgynous beauty with a large bust and severe burn scars, she is known as “The Prince” among the Four Heavenly Kings. A dungeon explorer with physical enhancement skills, she is loyal to her partner/lover. This 3rd-floor Priest calls herself “boku,” is a stalked masochist, and is currently hospitalized. She is Mana’s trusted classmate/friend, was healed by Kanade, and suffers Hirosawa’s skills.
• Dungeon – An artificially‑created, androgynous‑beautied woman, once an S‑Class Dungeon Explorer, now serves as the Guild Master of the Dungeon Explorer Guild. She administers a hyper‑advanced dungeon, leading and guiding its members, and is known as the Dungeon Master, wielding authority that shifts with each dungeon phase, her beaming smile a constant hallmark.
• Higuchi – Maria Higuchi is a blonde, tanned gyaru bearing the Higuchi family name. She belongs to the ‘Headlong into Gyaru’ lineage that shapes her identity, and she has recently joined the ‘Resonant Melody’ combat lineage, linking her to both groups.
• Haruka – Haruka, “The Prince,” is a beautiful, androgynous, short-haired Holy Priest and high-level raid/infiltration team member. Sophisticated yet masochistic, she has a voluptuous figure with hidden burn scars. She manages security via the ‘Black Ball’, is obsessed with Hirosawa, and is allied with Mana, Minami, Kosaka, and Kanade, standing by to assist Kanade with a rescue.
• Izumi – Haruka carries the Izumi family name, marking her as a member of both the prestigious group of academy students and the core roster of ‘Resonant Melody.’
• Maria – Maria is a beautiful, sun-kissed, blonde, and voluptuous one-armed Dark Gyaru. A high-level raid team member and Transcendent greatsword warrior, this New Tokyo guardian provides ironclad defense in Resonant Melody. Now on the infiltration team, she is Kanade’s ally and intimate partner, standing by for rescue. Playful yet leading, she is devoted to the narrator and craves pampering.
• Aina – Aina Tanaka, a serious, polite woman with black twin braids, glasses, a soft physique, and the Rare Job Sage class, resembles Mana. Currently a captive held by the KSK Three awaiting rescue under magical restraint, she courageously leads her fellow hostages. She trains under and deeply admires Mana, while harboring strong romantic feelings for her other mentor, Hirosawa Kanade.
• Sakurako – A beautiful, voluptuous S-Rank “Samurai of Solitude” explorer for Resonant Melody. She has sharp eyes and black hair in a princess cut, and wears an off-the-shoulder kimono. Wielding a katana, she commands 100+ clones to guard Japan. As an active, nimble-tongued ally and informant, she mentors Kanade’s party—deeply loving him daily—and joins him and Mana on a dungeon conquest.
• Minami – Blue-haired, twintail academy idol and petite “Young Princess” of the Four Heavenly Kings, this cute Phase Six Light Warrior uses wind magic and twin swords. As a Resonant Melody scout inside the dungeon, she utilizes invisibility and presence detection on a mission to rescue a captive woman. Devoted to Kanade, she cherishes her party (Mana, Haruka, Sakurako) and playfully calls Maria “Maria-chi.”
• Kanade – Kanade Hirosawa is a composed, silver-haired A-Rank Explorer with amber eyes and a sleek black suit. As the transcendent-level leader of Resonant Melody’s assault unit, this protagonist calmly navigates Phase Six zones using Pressure Point, rod-type, instant death, and healing skills. Devoted to Mana and feared by kidnappers, he is the central figure of affection for Haruka, Maria, and Minami.
