The clubroom door clicked shut. Rias’s composure instantly crumbled; she collapsed onto the sofa, burying her face into a throw pillow and kicking her legs in frustration. She sat alone in the living room for a long time, not moving until the view outside the window was swallowed by the night. Only then did she take a deep breath and gently push open the door to the rest area.
Gazing at Aki’s quiet, peaceful sleeping face, Rias softly placed her hand against his cheek and murmured, “Koaki…”
Sensing someone approaching, Aki struggled to open his eyes, but just as before, he had zero control over his body. He had been conscious this entire time; his only form of “entertainment” had been the frequent, active trysts from Amano Yuuma (Raynare) and her two companions. However, Aki dared not succumb to sleep—he didn’t know if he would wake up again, and he was terrified of missing vital intelligence. He had heard everything, from what Grayfia had said to the recent discussions held by Rias and the others.
He had tried once more to reach out to the Red Dragon Emperor’s soul, but he had failed again. The seal deep within his Sacred Gear was far more potent than the energy currently binding his consciousness; he couldn’t even push his awareness outward, let alone delve deeper inside.
Feeling Rias’s soft, warm hand stroking his face, a complicated, indescribable feeling stirred in Aki’s heart. He wanted to possess Rias—not just her body, but her heart, unlike those other “Hentai Heroines.” Once he resolved the issue with the Bitter Parent Template, he intended to marry her. He might have other women, but Rias’s position would be irreplaceable.

• Sona – Sona Sitri is a beautiful, stern S-rank Devil and heir to the Sitri family. Sporting short black hair and glasses, she serves as Kuoh Academy’s Student Council President. As a master to Aki, she oversees his training and seeks a cure for his condition.
