Volume 5 Chapter 12 Discipline in a Masterless Manor

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Even after their master, Ryuichi, had plunged deep into the heart of the Magic Forest to redefine the very nature of the elven race, a heavy blanket of snow fell from a leaden sky. It buried the noble district of Grimm, the town where he had established his base of operations.

Yet even in the master’s absence, this mansion never lost its sense of discipline. For the slaves who had been dragged up from the very depths of hell, this place was far more than a mere shelter. It was a sanctuary bestowed upon them by an absolute god.

Inside one of the mansion’s bedrooms, the winter air was crisp and tense, broken only by the soft, rhythmic breathing of young girls.

”Ilse. Your fingers have stopped moving. Remember that even a single wrinkle in the sheets becomes a disturbance that will break Goshujin-sama1‘s peaceful sleep.” Nier-sama’s strict voice sliced through the cold room.

”Y-yes, Nier-sama…! I am terribly sorry!” Ilse squeaked, jumping back into motion as if struck by electricity.

Once a starved, skeletal figure covered in filth, waiting only for death inside a slave trader’s cage, her complexion was now vibrant and healthy. The high-calorie meals and pristine environment Ryuichi provided were actively restoring her humanity.

With a proud chime of her collar, she dedicated her entire soul to making her master’s bed under Nier’s strict supervision. The light in her eyes, however, was not mere loyalty. Deep within her underdeveloped chest smoldered a faint, yet dangerously intense affection. The way her hands caressed the pillowcase imbued with her master’s scent was far too damp and lingering for a girl her age.

”Nier-samaaa! I’ve scrubbed the kitchen clean—not a single speck of grease left!” Eileen burst in from the hallway, her face flushed red with exertion.

Her reddish-brown twintails bounced as her healthy cheeks flushed crimson. Once forced to sip muddy water to survive, she was now the keeper of a bountiful pantry. Though constantly scolded for sneaking snacks, her voracious appetite and boundless energy hinted at a voluptuous body in the making—one that felt poised to threaten the mansion’s food supply in the near future.

Meanwhile, outside the window in the freezing courtyard, the youngest of them, Rita, was battling the elements with her tiny frame.

”If it’s hard to walk because of the snow when Goshujin-sama comes home, that would be terrible,” Rita muttered to herself, swinging a bamboo broom nearly as tall as herself to clear the stone pavement. “Rita is gonna make the garden path perfectly clean!”

The biting winter wind threatened to chap her cheeks, but there wasn’t a hint of misery on her face. For a girl who openly and unashamedly declared her absolute love for her master, this labor was no hardship; it was a pure confession of faith to the god she adored.

”Good work, everyone,” Nier said, gathering the girls in the living room. “You must be thirsty. Wait just a moment.”

Nier fixed her gaze on a sterling silver pitcher resting on the table. Shrouded in the dignity expected of the head slave, she took a deep, centering breath.

She mentally retraced the lecture Ryuichi had previously given on the mechanics of a heart pump. She visualized the moisture floating invisibly in the atmosphere. It was a lesson in physical elemental manifestation—using the pressure of mana to forcibly condense and liquefy that moisture.

 ”…Water.”

A thin, fragile stream of water sputtered from her fingertips. It trickled down, wetting the bottom of the pitcher with a soft plinking sound. If Ryuichi were using it, this novice magic would overflow like a waterfall, but for Nier, this was her absolute limit. By the time enough water for the group had finally accumulated after several minutes, beads of cold sweat covered her forehead, and a wave of light dizziness washed over her.

And yet, this water was the definitive proof connecting her to her master.

”Wow! Nier-sama’s magic is just as sparkly as Goshujin-sama’s!” Eileen gasped, her eyes wide with wonder.

”Fufu, you are quite the flatterer,” Nier replied with a soft, affectionate smile. “Come, divide it among yourselves and drink. Goshujin-sama taught me that magic is meant to be used like this—to bring a smile to someone’s face.”

Eileen and the others eagerly gulped down the water poured into their cups. Watching the scene, Nier unconsciously stroked her lower abdomen… right over her uterus, the sacred vessel where her master’s seed was poured, cradling it with deep affection.

Suddenly, her gaze was drawn out the window toward the bleak winter sky. Looking at their bright smiles invariably brought a dark shadow creeping back into her mind.

…The memory of her beloved daughter, Mia, who had turned to bones beneath the cold earth.

Under the merciless management of the slave traders, Mia had starved to death at the tender age of six, discarded like common trash. The despair she felt when confronted with that reality… the sensation of the entire world losing its color. Nier had intended to end her own life.

But the one who stopped her, the one who rescued her daughter’s soul along with her own, was none other than Ryuichi.

 (Goshujin-sama…)

Behind her closed eyelids, the blue light of that day flickered back to life. A cold, yet all-consuming ‘blue flame’ that had enveloped the towering mound of children’s corpses. Ryuichi had told her, ‘This is a holy flame that purifies and saves the soul.’

-Even if, in physical reality, it was merely a high-purity gas combustion magic designed to carbonize organic matter without releasing any impurities.

To Nier, physical facts meant absolutely nothing. The only point of any significance was that he had performed a miracle for her daughter, releasing her from a corrupted world. On that day, at that exact moment, he had ascended in Nier’s mind from a mere master to an absolute deity worthy of worship.

(I wonder how he fares in the depths of the forest right now…)

Her master had transitioned into the deepest sectors of the Magic Forest. An unbearable surge of anxiety and yearning swelled within her. She had never realized that nights without his warm embrace could feel this freezing, or this lonely—to the point where her very womb ached with isolation.

”Nier-samaaa, I’ve finished mopping the hallways,” Helga called out as she stepped into the room with wet, heavy footsteps.

She was an eighteen-year-old blonde girl, an abandoned child who had grown up covered in the filth of the slums. Her maid uniform was worn sloppily, with the hem of her skirt hitched up all the way to her thighs. Though her knees and hands were smudged with grime, she didn’t care in the slightest. In fact, she seemed to find a strange sense of peace in that dirtiness.

”Thank you for your hard work, Helga,” Nier said, frowning slightly. “But your skirt is riding up again. You are a young woman; you should show a bit more modesty.”

”Ehehe, but it’s easier to move this way,” Helga laughed, shrugging her shoulders. “Besides, Goshujin-sama said he gets more excited when things are a little dirty rather than perfectly clean.”

Helga laughed innocently, picking up a stray breadcrumb from the floor and popping it into her mouth. It was an action entirely devoid of basic hygiene. Yet, Nier did not scold her. What constituted ‘normal’ inside this mansion was fundamentally different from the common sense of the outside world. If the master permitted it, then it was law within these walls.

”…Honestly,” Nier sighed, offering a helpless, yet deeply affectionate smile in return. “Goshujin-sama is not even here right now.”

 In the early afternoon.

Nier walked alone down the town’s main thoroughfare to procure supplies for the mansion. Her eye for quality, honed during her days as a traveling merchant, remained razor-sharp. The soap, towels, and scented oils used by her master had to be of the absolute highest caliber.

However, in the midst of a bleak winter town, her presence was entirely anomalous. Her flawless, radiant skin, her well-nourished and voluptuous physique, and above all, the striking beauty of a former slave clad in high-grade garments—it was more than enough bait to draw the eyes of starving predators.

”Well, well,” a rough-looking bandit sneered, stepping out from an alleyway. “Look at the premium piece of meat walking down the street.”

”Bet she’s lonely with the master of that mansion gone, huh?” another mocked, downcast eyes sizing her up.

Several men wearing filthy leather armor blocked her path with vulgar sneers. Nier stopped in her tracks. She shrunk back as if frightened, but the depths of her eyes were entirely dead and cold. She was no longer a helpless victim.

”Please let me pass,” Nier said, her tone flat and unbothered. “If you lay a hand on me, you will not escape the consequences.”

”Ha! Fierce, aren’t we?” the leader barked, stepping closer. “Let us comfort those massive tits of yours—”

Just as one of the men reached out a dirty hand toward Nier’s chest—

 Thwip!

With a sharp, slicing gust of wind, an arrow embedded itself deeply into the cobblestones, a mere fraction of an inch from the man’s toes.

”Wh-what…?” the man gasped, stumbling backward.

”Don’t you dare touch Goshujin-sama’s precious property with those filthy hands of yours,” a sharp, defensive voice echoed from above.

Landing gracefully from the rooftop was Reina, a former adventurer. Bearing a shortbow on her back and drawing the dagger at her waist, her posture was entirely divorced from the inexperienced girl she once was. Having gained a sanctuary worth protecting from her master, she had spent her time sharpening her fangs.

”The hell you lookin’ at?” a heavy, gravelly voice rumbled from behind them. “Keep walkin’.”

The bandits spun around in a panic, only to find a massive dark silhouette towering over them. It was John, a man bearing a two-handed greatsword nearly as tall as himself. A copper-ranked adventurer swordsman, he now existed as a slave bound to Ryuichi’s service. Once Reina’s partner, he now served as a guard for the exact same mansion. He silently rested his hand on the hilt of his greatsword, casting an oppressive, intimidating glare down upon them.

”Evening,” John growled, his hand resting tightly on his pommel. “Did you have business with our employer’s precious head maid?”

 ”H-hieee! A greatsword user?!”

Terrified by the unmistakable aura of professional adventurers, the bandits scattered in every direction like baby spiders.

”John, Reina-san…” Nier let out a performative sigh of relief.

”Tch, all bark and no bite,” John muttered, shaking his head. “Are you alright, Nier-san?”

John turned around, his face clouded by a faint shade of self-derision. He knew exactly what kind of ecstatic cries this woman surrendered to their master night after night. He also knew that no matter what he did, he could never hope to defeat that master, even if he stood on his head.

”Thank you. You saved me,” Nier said.

”Don’t worry about it,” Reina replied, sheathing her dagger and puffing out her chest with pride. “Guarding the mansion while Goshujin-sama is away is our duty.”

Her loyalty was entirely pure. But within John’s eyes, an unbridgeable sense of inferiority and the resignation of having nowhere else to go lay deeply submerged.

 That night.

Having finished her patrol duties, Reina lay on her bed, clutching the sheets tightly in her hands.

 ”Haah… haah… Ryuichi-san…”

The agonizing thirst brought on by the master’s absence wasn’t unique to Nier. For Reina, whose psychological desire to be protected had inflated to monstrous proportions, the absence of Ryuichi—the absolute apex predator—brought about severe withdrawal symptoms, as if her emotional stabilizer had been abruptly cut off.

She buried her fingers deep within her private warmth, her hips writhing violently against the mattress. Her mind flooded with memories of his cold, sharp profile inside the town tavern, alongside fantasies of being utterly shattered beneath his thick, powerful arms.

 ”Nnh, ah, no… I’m c**ming…!”

Reaching a screaming climax on fantasy alone, Reina left a dark, heavy stain of arousal spreading across the sheets.

Watching this display through a tiny crack in the slightly ajar door, a man held his breath in absolute silence. It was John.

In the heavy darkness of the hallway, he unbuttoned his trousers, furiously stroking his engorged, blood-pumped shaft.

”Heh… Reina, you make those kinds of noises…?” John whispered hoarsely, his eyes bloodshot. “Not for me… but thinking about him…”

Reina, his former partner. The reality that she was in heat not for him, but for the overwhelmingly powerful figure of Ryuichi—it was a humiliation that utterly crushed his masculine pride, yet it simultaneously delivered a twisted, intoxicating surge of arousal. He couldn’t win. He couldn’t steal her away.

Savoring that exact flavor of defeat, John used Reina’s frantic moans as his catalyst, reaching a miserable, explosive release. A thick, murky white liquid splattered uselessly across the wooden floorboards.

 A masterless manor.

Within it lay rigid discipline, absolute faith, and a swirling vortex of heavily repressed desire. The only thing that could truly satisfy them was the long-awaited return of their ruthless king.

 Summary:

Heavy snow blankets the noble district of Grimm while Ryuichi is away in the Magic Forest. Inside the mansion, Nier enforces strict house rules and disciplines the other slave girls, who remain absolute in their adoration and loyalty to their master. Meanwhile, sexual frustration and a deep-seated dynamic of submission and inferiority ferment among the remaining residents in his absence.

 —

 Trivia:

Nier was once a traveling merchant before becoming a slave.

Mia, Nier’s daughter, starved to death at the age of six.

John and Reina were former adventuring partners before working at the mansion.

Ryuichi’s ‘blue flame’ is actually a highly efficient organic gas-burning spell rather than holy magic.
