Waiting for them was an undead monster commonly known as a Dullahan—a headless knight carrying its own helmeted head in one hand.
Of course, this was no ordinary Dullahan.
As a monster from Phase Six, it bore the title of Ultimate Superior Dullahan, two ominous prefixes attached to a creature that was already dangerous to begin with.
Strangely enough, despite being classified as undead, it did not rely on curses, life-drain attacks, or any of the tricks typically associated with its kind. In practice, it was simply a humanoid monster possessing absurd combat ability.
”I-Is this really going to be okay?”
”It’ll be fine,” Mana said. “All three of them are strong enough. Besides, it’s an undead monster. The matchup is actually in their favor.”
”Exactly!” Sakurako-san added. “With their strength, beating something like that is easy.”
I knew they were right.
Even so, knowing that did not stop me from worrying while I watched my girlfriend and friends step onto the battlefield.
Only a man overflowing with confidence could stand there calmly and watch without a care in the world.
Mana and Sakurako-san, meanwhile, looked completely relaxed.
Compared to my nerves, the three fighters ahead of us were brimming with confidence.

Even if it did not behave like a traditional undead, the Dullahan was still an undead monster.
Haruka-san’s holy attribute skill took hold perfectly.
Bathed in the effects of (Divine Imbuement), the three of them launched their assault.
Maria-san moved first.

After activating her defensive enhancement skills, she charged straight into the Dullahan’s range and met its attack head-on.
The Dullahan’s sword flashed.
Maria-san’s greatsword answered.
A relentless barrage followed, yet she refused to give ground, her weapon intercepting every strike as sparks burst through the air.
The moment she established control of the front line, Minami-chan vanished.
”(Ground Shrink)!! (Cross Slash)!! (Ground Shrink)!! (Turbulent Thrust)!!”
Her movement skill propelled her across the battlefield so quickly it looked closer to teleportation than running.
The Dullahan managed to follow her attacks, proving why it held the position of a mid-boss, but even then it could not evade them completely.
Silver flashes carved across its armor.
While Maria-san anchored the front line, Minami-chan slipped through every opening she created.
The Dullahan occasionally landed a hit, but the flow of battle had already shifted in their favor.
As the two of them pressed the attack, a beautiful singing voice echoed across the fiftieth floor.
It was Haruka-san.
”(Holy Hymn)…”
For a moment, it was difficult to believe this was the same Haruka-san who usually spent her time getting into bizarre trouble.
Right now, she looked almost divine.
A sacred radiance accompanied her song, and the battlefield itself seemed to change beneath its influence.
Empowered by the hymn, Minami-chan and Maria-san moved even faster than before. At the same time, the Dullahan’s movements grew noticeably sluggish.
Once things reached that stage, the outcome was all but decided.
Minami-chan’s blades struck again and again, while Maria-san slipped powerful counterattacks between her defenses.
Wounds steadily accumulated across the Dullahan’s body.
Several times it unleashed powerful Skills in an attempt to turn the tide, yet Maria-san deflected each one without allowing it to gain any momentum.
Before long, the Dullahan staggered.
Then—
”Let me join in for the finale, at least! Haaaaaaaah!! (War-Mace Devastation)!!!”
Having finished her hymn, Haruka-san launched herself into the air.
Her massive mace descended like a falling meteor.
The impact detonated through the Dullahan’s body, shattering its upper half in a single strike.
The monster froze for a brief moment.
Then its body dissolved into smoke and vanished from the dungeon entirely.

Missing her lower left arm, she wears tiger-skin hot-pants and a bikini top. A member of the Four Heavenly Kings, she is deeply devoted to her partner Haruka and was the first to fall in love with her teammate Kanade.
• Haruka – Haruka, “The Prince,” is an androgynous, voluptuous, short-haired Holy Priest with hidden burn scars. A stoic, masochistic vanguard for Resonant Melody, she wields a massive mace and uses Holy Healing magic on the front lines despite group limitations. Managing security, she fights beside Maria, obsesses over Hirosawa, and allies with Mana’s rescue party with divine grace and fervor.

Showing resolve in deep-level dangers, she relies on her team to keep pace using wind magic. Devoted to Kanade, she cherishes Mana, Haruka, and Sakurako, and teases Maria.
• Maria – Maria is a voluptuous, sun-kissed blonde Dark Gyaru with one arm and a Transcendent greatsword warrior. As New Tokyo’s elite guardian and Resonant Melody’s primary defensive tank, she is an enthusiastic, high-spirited close-combat specialist. Playful yet leading, she shares a guild home, supports Mana, acts as Kanade’s intimate infiltration partner, and is deeply devoted to the narrator.
• Mana – An alluring, black-ponytail A-Rank explorer and Resonant Melody sub-leader who serves as her party’s calm, composed strategist. As a powerful “Heavenly King” skilled in Dungeon Energy and close-quarters cloak combat, she guides team strategy and support with high-level coordination. Known as a sweet-scented mentor to Aina, she is a devoted partner providing tactical reassurances.
• Sakurako-san – A powerful, voluptuous S-Rank “Samurai of Solitude” explorer with sharp eyes and black hair in a princess cut. Wears an off-the-shoulder kimono, wields a katana, and commands 100+ clones. She is a reliable Resonant Melody member who mentors Kanade’s party—deeply loving him daily—and is the only group member who wasn’t his academy classmate.
• Sakurako – An S-Rank, voluptuous “Samurai of Solitude” explorer with sharp eyes, a black princess-cut hairstyle, and an off-the-shoulder kimono. He serves as a protective observer, anchor, and boyfriend to his party of five powerful women.
