Volume 6 Chapter 17 The Power of Hinoki, Bonds with Risa
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Hinoki’s power at its peak.
Outwardly, it looked like fire and lightning combined. If that was right, maybe Kaname could handle the lightning part? I swore, if it pierced through defenses, I was done for.
’It’s fine. Kaname-chan can nullify it!’
That came from the owner of the power itself. Right now, that meant more than anything.
’It’s my power, yeah? Course it’s got piercin’ properties. But Kaname-chan’s got pierce nullification. Honestly, we’re lucky to have ‘er.’
That meant Kaname’s lightning rod ability needed to stay active the whole time.
What about the fire?
’Grit your teeth and dodge it. ‘S fine. Compared to the lightning’s speed and range, the fire’s a lot more manageable. That said, it’s got better close-range coverage and firepower, so watch out! Big sis is terrible at Mana conversion. Big bro could probably handle her current fire like it’s standin’ still.’
So it was just guts, then. Tough. But this wasn’t the time to complain.
I had to save Risa somehow.
’Better hurry! She’s usin’ my power, yeah. It’s too much for a mortal body. Use it too much and she’ll wreck herself.’
Alright, first things first—undo the effects of the Oboroka sorcery.
’I need a bit more time to keep an eye on Asunaro. Give me a little longer, big bro!’
(Got it.)
While talking to Hinoki, I moved away from Risa.
The mother—who was in rough shape herself but still looked calm as she watched Risa—I closed in on her fast.
”!? W-Wait! Stop!”
She must have thought she was safe, leaving herself open until I was right on top of her. I ignored her attempts to fight back and punched her face hard. At the same time, I grabbed the glowing Warifu from her hand.
Snow flies tried to stop me, but I swept them all away with a shockwave. They shattered into pieces, and the mother took a hit straight to the face—hard enough to break her nose.
She couldn’t dodge or defend, so she doubled over, bleeding from the nose. I grabbed her clothes to keep her steady and hit her stomach a few times.
When she curled forward, I drove a knee into her for good measure.
As she shook and started to fall, I grabbed her hair and pulled her back up.
”Ugh…”
I heard Yurina make a small sound. She flinched at what I did for a second, but she seemed to have reminded herself that this was necessary. Right, now wasn’t the time to hold back.
For some reason, Risa wasn’t making any move to help her mother.
If anything, she seemed to be testing out fire and lightning sorcery. That worked in my favor.
I told Yurina to watch Risa’s movements while I grabbed the mother’s face and lifted her chin to start asking questions.
”Hey. If I take you out, does that cancel the Oboroka sorcery?”
”N-No…”
”Which is it?”
”I-It… won’t… disappear…”
”Huh.”
It would’ve been a lot easier if killing her ended it. She could be lying, though.
”Well, from what I saw earlier, the effect seems to wear off eventually. So you can just die here.”
I punched the mother again, her face twisting in shock.
Her face showed terror and pain, but her spirit wasn’t broken. Were Shadows just that resistant to pain? If they were taking over a body, you’d think they’d feel all the physical damage… but I’d just have to believe this was working and keep going.
Even as I kept beating the mother, I didn’t let my guard down against Risa.
She slowly summoned flames covered in sparks, forming a Fireball. She threw a volleyball-sized sphere of fire toward me.
The Fireball wasn’t particularly fast.
I dodged it, and it continued in a straight line, slamming into a rock about the size of a light truck. The boulder melted like cotton candy drenched in syrup. Its edges dripped into a gooey mess. Damn, that was some serious heat.
I’d thought about grabbing the mother and throwing her into the flames instead of dodging, but even if Risa wasn’t conscious of it, I figured it wouldn’t be right to have her be the one to harm her own mother. And seeing Risa show no sign of stopping her attacks, it looked like the Oboroka sorcery was still in effect.
Still, the Shadow inside her mother handled pain much better than I expected. If hurting her didn’t work, I was in serious trouble. I didn’t have any other ways to make someone talk besides punching and kicking.
I kept attacking the mother while Risa threw lightning bolts—stopped by Kaname’s ability—and fireballs that I dodged.
”M-Minoru-sama, don’t you think that’s enough…”
Even Yurina, who supported me more than anyone, seemed to think I’d gone too far, trying to stop me gently. I could tell she was shocked by how I was beating the mother without stopping, like I’d turned into someone else.
Since the mother was so weak, this didn’t feel like a fight—it was just bullying. The sensible part of my mind beat down the violent urge, and I felt myself calming down. I looked at Risa and my anger rose again.
If I knocked out the mother quickly, the Warifu’s world-line shift effect would activate, sending her back to her original timeline and erasing all physical damage. However, she’d still remember the experience of death, so she wouldn’t be in any shape to continue exploring.
Usually, that meant escaping the dungeon right away via Escape ball or Return slip. If she had allies, they’d likely help her afterward.
The unclear part was whether Risa would return to her senses when her mother shifted world lines. If she did, great—but if she stayed under the Oboroka sorcery’s control, that was a problem. I had to break the mother’s spirit and cancel the sorcery somehow.
I’d done the right thing by taking the Warifu right away to stop her from shifting on her own, but things weren’t going as planned after that.
I grabbed the mother by the collar and threatened her. Her body was badly beaten.
”Well? Feeling like apologizing yet?”
”…I… won’t…”
”You’re really stupid, you know that?”
I punched her again.
I felt part of my mind wearing down from this one-sided beating. Damn it… I was the one dealing damage, so why was I the one feeling bad?
On top of that, Risa’s Mana-to-fire conversion time kept getting shorter. If the mother held out any longer, I was stuck. To break this deadlock, I needed something new, something from the outside.
—
”Sorry I’m late!”
Chifumi rushed in, out of breath. She always showed up when I needed her. That was my Majo for you.
”Took you long enough!”
”What’s the situation?”
”Risa got fed a fragment of Hinoki’s power. The Shadow inside this woman did it.”
”Got it.”
After hearing my explanation, Chifumi looked at the mother in my grip, then at Risa, whose left arm was covered in flames, and seemed to understand the general picture.
”So Risa-chan’s being controlled by this person?”
”That’s what it looks like. Hey, that’s right, isn’t it?”
”…”
”See for yourself.”
”Not talking. Want me to rough ’em up?”
”Already on it.”
”Gotcha~”
Even while talking, we were dodging flames. On top of that, the mother kept trying to use Snow flies to fight back whenever she got the chance, so we kept smashing them apart.
”Can you cancel out the fire?”
”I’ll try!”
Chifumi threw a water orb at the black-purple flames. Even though the water sphere was almost three times bigger, the fireball vaporized it and broke through. A second and third water orb finally put out the flame.
”That’s rough~. Isn’t that like, high-level sorcery or above?”
”She’s just tossing those out casually—that’s gotta be cheating.”
’First things first, we need to deal with my power.’
Just as I talked with Chifumi, another change happened on the battlefield—our next solution, Hinoki, returned.
”Chifumi, can I leave containing this woman to you?”
”Of course~. So what are you gonna do, Minoru?”
”Bring Risa back to her senses.”
I gave the Warifu to Chifumi and moved toward Risa.
I dodged the flames and studied her face closely. From what I’d seen of Risa so far, I noticed something strange—something that didn’t match someone being controlled.
People I’d fought before under the Oboroka sorcery always had a slightly hazy look to them. There was a subtle delay in their eye movements. I’d thought that delay in sorcery activation was the cause of that delay. But that wasn’t it. She just seemed to be struggling with the conversion process.
Which meant… was the Risa in front of me acting on her own?
”Risa, are you being controlled?”
”…”
At my question, her expression twitched faintly before going blank again.
An unnatural change in Mana. The huge Mana cluster in the center of Risa’s body was probably Hinoki’s power, but something else reacted—something separate from that power.
More specifically, something that tried to react got blocked by something else.
I thought what couldn’t react fully was Risa’s soul. That meant there was someone else—a third person—inside Risa.
Possibly a third hostile entity (a Shadow).
”Did you take over Risa at the same time as that blue stone?”
”…”
I spoke to her assuming it wasn’t Risa but this third party. Still silence.
But this time, there was no subtle change in expression like before.
”The mother’s already done for. Give it up.”
”…”
Still no response. She didn’t care about the mother at all.
’That’s a Shadow.’
Hinoki gave advice from inside me.
(Is Asunaro okay?)
’Yeah. Thanks to Gassa and MiwMiw, physical repairs seem fine. In that sense, it’s all good.’
(That’s a relief.)
’But… the consciousness, the important part, is gone. The soul’s been ripped out.’
(That’s a huge problem.)
Up close, I dodged a whip of flame while assessing the situation.
’My power ain’t somethin’ just anyone can use. If anyone else tries, the damage stacks up on the user with every use. But big sis… I don’t see any sign of that.’
Hinoki was right. Compared to when she started, Risa wasn’t slowing down or getting worse.
If anything, she was getting better.
’So there’s some kind of “mechanism” that’s lettin’ her use the power properly. And I think that’s Asunaro.’
So Asunaro was serving as a medium to access Hinoki’s power. From what we’d briefly discussed earlier, Asunaro’s sense of self seemed to have faded. It was clearly different from the Asunaro Hinoki knew.
The abnormality was probably caused by the Snow flies’ spell, the seal, or a combination of both. The theory was that someone had stripped away Asunaro’s will—which had coexisted with Hinoki’s power for over a thousand years—and was only using Asunaro’s knowledge of how to wield that power.
’There’s one more thing. Big sis’s body.’
Risa’s body?
’No matter how skillfully you use Asunaro to wield that power, there will be some backlash. Burns from the flames, changes in skin or eye color—those kinds of changes are inevitable. But I don’t see any of that on you.’
In front of me, Risa looked exactly as she always did. Was she using illusion magic to hide it? Or maybe recovery magic?
That wasn’t impossible, but that wasn’t my read on the situation either. Sis’s body was special-made.
Special-made. Meaning it was compatible with Hinoki’s power?
’Yeah. A body that’s convenient for using my power. I don’t know what the odds are—maybe one in ten thousand. But there’s a high chance that’s the case.’
A body that didn’t suffer damage even when holding Hinoki’s power inside.
If Risa met those conditions, it would explain why her mother was so obsessed with her. Risa’s body was essential to take Hinoki’s power for herself and use it freely.
By forcing Hinoki’s power into Risa’s body alongside Asunaro’s soul, a human sorcerer who could freely wield that power would be born. That had to be the Shadow’s goal.
The worst part was, if that guess was right, the goal had already been achieved.
To the Shadow inside Risa, her mother—and the Shadow still in her—were nothing more than tools to throw away later. That was why no matter how badly I treated her mother, she never reacted, and the mother never tried to stop Risa.
Troublesome.
Keeping this fight going would solve nothing. Eventually, the Warifu’s time limit would run out, and once the mother with the Shadow changed world lines, this other world made by the insect cage would disappear too.
We’d go back to the original dungeon, and the being in front of us would probably use a Return Slip to leave on its own. She’d escape.
For now, even though Risa had a Return Slip, she hadn’t run away. The reason wasn’t clear. She might even be just playing with me—using this as training to learn how to use Hinoki’s power against me. Couldn’t escape? Wouldn’t escape? I needed to deal with her.
(Hinoki, how do we eliminate the one inside Risa?)
”If you let me inside Sis, I can flush ’em out from the inside! I can reclaim my power that Asunaro’s been controlling!”
(By “going inside,” you mean literally feeding you to Risa?)
”Yeah. I’ll shrink down to pinky size and go in through her mouth—that’ll do it.”
(The problem is how to get you in there. Getting close enough to make her open her mouth and toss you in—those flames are way too much of a hindrance.)
”That’s their one losing condition. They’ve definitely got countermeasures prepared. This is where you show what you’re made of, big bro!”
Hinoki threw me a curveball with that reckless demand. But their tone was bright. They could see a clear path forward, a concrete plan. They trusted that even if it was difficult, I could pull it off.
I moved away from Risa. She didn’t try to close the distance either.
I could sense her performing mana conversion. Hinoki’s power must have served as an excellent mana source, because Risa—who should have been running on empty—was preparing to use even more sorcery.
As for me, I had about twenty percent mana left. The consecutive battles against the mantises had taken their toll—I couldn’t keep up a full-power fight for much longer. In this wide-open space, I couldn’t even activate my Inherent Sorcery. Bad conditions. But my strength—our strength—wasn’t limited to Inherent Sorcery alone. As a pack, we were strong. I had confidence in how many options we had. There was nothing we couldn’t do.
This was to save my Strong-Females. If I didn’t try my hardest, who would? I would get Risa back.
I joined the three rods at my waist to make a short spear.
Risa reacted. The flames around her left arm got bigger. The air was tense.

After taking a deep breath, I stepped into her range.
”Hah!”
I thrust straight forward. In normal combat, I almost never used a spear. My thrusts, lacking in experience, weren’t as sharp or accurate as those of my spear-wielding classmates. Risa blocked such an attack with a wall of fire.
The tip of the spear, thrust into the flames, melted in an instant—it never reached Risa’s body.
My momentum was strong. I was about to throw my whole body into the flames and burn to ashes—but at that moment, I released a shockwave.
From observing her fireballs and flame walls so far, I could estimate her sorcery strength. I adjusted my power to barely break through the wall. As expected, the flame wall scattered, and Risa came into view.
But she’d already prepared her next attack.
I’d stopped her lightning attacks many times, making her think lightning wouldn’t work on me. I hadn’t used Shock Magic much until now. So from her point of view, choosing fire for the next attack made sense. No lightning.
As predicted, flames erupted from both of Risa’s arms. She grabbed my arms, and her soot-colored flames engulfed me. A confident smile spread across Risa’s face. That smile vanished seconds later. Because even enveloped in flames, my appearance remained unchanged. I stopped moving, and I could sense Risa scanning her surroundings.
Sensing something was wrong, Risa spun around.
The moment she saw me standing there unhurt, she grabbed the fire-covered version of me and threw it with all her strength at the real me.
Pape, looking like me and covered in flames, passed straight through the fake image of me that Clam had made.
”!?!?”
Frantic, Risa spun back around.
Too slow. The moment Risa put weight on her pivot foot, the ground beneath her sank, throwing off her balance. Kaname moved the earth beneath her, solidifying it again to lock her movements.
”Kuh…!!!”
My hand reached Risa’s face. She shut her mouth tight, gritting her teeth. I couldn’t feed Hinoki into her like this. Time for the final move.
”Risa, you’re cute.”
”!?”
My whisper in her ear, as I embraced her from behind, made Risa freeze for a moment. A look of confusion. This was my secret weapon.
”Cute Risa, it’s time for THIS. Stop.”
I grabbed Risa’s massive breasts. I tore through her charred battle uniform, squeezing and kneading them up and down, left and right.
Risa tried to stop me, making flames from her chest and back to burn me—but I made countless tiny Hinokis appear between us. Hinoki’s power couldn’t be destroyed by Hinoki’s power. Before her flames could wrap around their insect wall, I pinched her n**ples with my fingertips. Risa’s concentration shattered, and the flames dissipated.
”Ahh♡… kuh!!!!”
Her mouth opened for just a moment, then she quickly clamped it shut. It wasn’t over yet.
She seemed to try throwing me off, but with my hands still in her breasts, her strength was no more than a kitten’s.
Of course it was. During such acts, she was never allowed to raise a hand against me—her master.
With no strength in her body, she tried to counter with sorcery, but in my arms, she fumbled with mana conversion on a level incomparable to before. The flames wouldn’t come out. Her body had been conditioned to automatically become aroused, and now she struggled to maintain combat operations. On top of that, the conditioning that demanded absolute obedience to me during such moments took hold.
The erotic service arts engraved into Risa’s flesh had overpowered the reason of whatever entity had taken over Risa, actively interfering with this foreign being’s attempts to use her body against her will. I could feel Risa’s soul—the one suppressed by the Shadow—growing stronger.
Judging this approach correct, I moved to the next step.
The remaining stub of my short spear was just the right length. I slipped it between her massive breasts and resumed my grip on them, rubbing them up and down in a mock breast service.
To a thoroughly confused Risa, I gave the order.
”Risa. I’ll give you a reward, so open your mouth. Wait for it.”
A firm command, whispered into Risa’s ear.
”Aaahnn…!!!!?!?!?”
Risa’s body, so thoroughly trained in the etiquette of paizuri-fellatio before the finale, obeyed the command etched into the depths of her brain—independent of the Shadow’s will—opening her mouth wide and sticking out her tongue. Only her eyes remained under the Shadow’s control, creating a jarring contrast: a gaze of sheer shock worn on the face of a female dog awaiting her reward.
”Don’t move until I say so.”
At my command, Risa’s mouth froze perfectly still. Risa’s soul was fighting to reclaim control over her body.
I brought my right middle finger to her mouth. At the tip of my finger, a tiny Hinoki lay waiting. They dropped onto her tongue. Plop. Hinoki slid down into Risa’s body.
”Hah… hah…”
With her mouth open and tongue out, still holding the waiting-for-e**culate pose, Risa continued to breathe heavily.
Her gaze fixed on me, her eyes bloodshot. If looks could kill, right? I’d be in trouble if she cursed me or anything… but oh well. Too bad for you.
You’re done now. Your biggest mistake was underestimating the bond between Risa and me!
As payback for making me work so hard, I moved Risa’s arms, positioning her into a proper paizuri-fellatio pose to rile her up.
”So this means I’m making every past Sealed Dungeon administrator strike this kind of lewd pose?”
”Hah… hah…”
”If so… that’s kind of satisfying, actually.”
”Hah… hah…”
If all the past administrators were Strong-Females, that meant they’d all submitted to me. Yeah, that’s exciting. But if there were Majin or Tsuyo-Osu too, that would mean those guys also had to strike this pose—which is a bit of a turn-off… wait, no, I could just think of it as TS female-fallen, or possession female-fallen stuff! That works too. Yeah, maybe that’s exciting.
After reaching this conclusion on my own, I nodded. Risa’s face, before me, was growing redder by the second.
Don’t get so mad. If the blood vessels in your brain burst, it’s you who’d suffer, you know?
”GWOOOO!?”
Suddenly, Risa’s body convulsed violently. Her eyes rolled back, showing only white, and she collapsed backward.
”GWAHH!”
Twitching like a fish out of water, Risa convulsed several times. Then, from her mouth, Hinoki—now the size of a baseball bat—burst out, clamping something in their jaw.
’Big bro, gather the Snow Flies! I’m gonna send this guy packing!’
I released my Snow Flies minions.
What Hinoki was holding in their jaw was a mass of shadow—an aberration. No doubt about it. The Shadow.
’Can you do it?’
”I can!”
The glowing Snow Flies swarmed around the Shadow held in Hinoki’s jaw.
”Stop! Please, stop!”
In the distance, I could hear the mother trapped in Chifumi’s water prison raise her voice.
It was too late to beg.
The Snow Flies blazed brilliantly, erasing the Shadow without a trace.

Summary:
Minoru confronts Risa’s possessed mother, brutally interrogating her while dodging Risa’s increasingly powerful fire and lightning attacks. Chifumi arrives to assist, taking over containment of the mother while Minoru focuses on Risa. After noticing inconsistencies in Risa’s behavior that don’t match typical Oboroka sorcery control, Minoru suspects a third entity has taken root within Risa alongside the power fragment.
The battle against Risa continues as Shoji deduces that Risa’s body is special-made to contain Hinoki’s power without backlash, which explains her mother’s obsession. He realizes the Shadow’s goal has likely already been achieved—creating a human sorcerer who can freely wield Hinoki’s power. Low on mana and disadvantaged, Shoji devises a risky strategy: feeding Hinoki to Risa through her mouth to expel the possessing Shadow. After a coordinated attack with his allies using illusions and earth manipulation, Shoji uses Risa’s conditioned responses—developed through their intimate bond—to force her mouth open and successfully deliver Hinoki into her body. The Shadow is expelled and destroyed by the Snow Flies, leaving Risa’s mother screaming in defeat.
