Chapter 75 Victory’s Triumph and the White Lion Princess

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

We-Team “Royal Phantom”-had carved our names into the history of the illegal colosseum [Bottom of the Abyss], winning a fortune in prize money and the highest-quality grand prize imaginable.

The thrill of victory still echoed in my ears.

The roar of the crowd that had packed the stadium still rumbled in my stomach.

Our feat would become legend in time-

 I was certain of it.

The grand prize was the Beastfolk Princess, Lumiá Sacred.

A young lion beastkin with fur as white as freshly fallen snow.

Her form had a sacred beauty, like the mythical sacred beast in ancient legends. She was about the same age as our team’s own Kuuko.

In her humanoid form, she had pure white hair that shimmered in the sunlight and fierce golden eyes that looked like molten gold-a girl of calm, noble dignity.

Her slender frame held a wild, flexible strength.

Twin white ears stood on her head, and a fluffy white tail stuck out from under her dress.

 This princess-this treasure beyond compare-

 Was now mine.

Zoltan, the colosseum’s master, never imagined his strongest team [Steel Beast King] could be defeated. He’d prepared an undefeated squad led by a legendary magic beast-the Gatekeeper of Hell, Kerberos.

 He’d believed-“There’s no way we’ll lose.”

That’s exactly why he’d set up Princess Lumiá as the headline grand prize for this year’s [Abyss Coliseum], to create maximum hype.

Since he couldn’t possibly lose, there was no risk of the treasure falling into someone else’s hands-

 That was his reasoning.

 But we won.

What’s more, we’d utterly destroyed that Kerberos in a way that made the audience’s jaws drop. From Zoltan’s perspective, he’d lost two treasures in a single night-treasures that money could never buy.

Now that’s what I call kicking someone while they’re down.

The colosseum’s excitement reached historic heights. The revenues coming in would match that.

But there are things in this world that money can never buy. Zoltan had lost two treasures in a single night-treasures money could never recover. For a greedy master, that must have been a terrible, humiliating loss.

 Kerberos would never revive.

But Princess Lumiá could still be taken back.

Knowing that man’s character, he’d be plotting to kill me and reclaim the princess. It would be the ultimate revenge against the hated opponent who’d destroyed his magic beast. Even now, his gut must be churning with hatred-a consuming desire to kill me.

 But unfortunately for him.

Zoltan was now a subordinate of my servant Ashraf-and under Ashraf’s complete control. He couldn’t lift a finger to move against me.

We stepped into the VIP room where Zoltan awaited to claim our grand prize. The heavy door closed silently behind us. Our footsteps were swallowed by the thick carpet, and the roar of victory felt like a distant memory.

Inside the room was the smell of iron and blood.

That was the presence of this room’s master.

I called out, my voice cheerful in the cold silence, “Yo, Zoltan. Thanks to you, we’ve made quite a name for ourselves. I owe you one.”

Zoltan sank into the sofa, glaring at me with a face twisted in rage.

His eyes were bloodshot, his clenched fists trembling. Hatred slowly filled the room’s air, thickening it with each passing moment.

Beside him stood Princess Lumiá, the grand prize, waiting quietly.

He snarled through gritted teeth, “Ghh…! You insolent brat…! Tramplin’ me underfoot like this…!!”

I waved a hand dismissively and said, “Oh, and one more thing. No need to rewrite the slave contract. If I ever feel like it, I can just nullify the whole thing myself.”

As I said that, Princess Lumiá fixed me with her golden eyes.

Her face was flushed with warmth.

 That expression was familiar.

Yes-exactly the same look Kuuko had given me when she joined our team. It seemed this Beastfolk Princess had also fallen completely for my performance in battle.

Beastfolk really did seem to be a species that falls for people quickly.

 I commanded, “-Come here, Lumiá.”

 She whispered softly, “…Yes.”

Still bound in shackles, Lumiá responded to my call and walked toward me.

Clink, clink-the sound of chains echoed through the quiet room.

I scooped her delicate body up in a gentle but firm princess carry. At the collar of her white dress, a black Slave crest was branded. I traced my fingertip lightly across the cold skin.

With my [Magic Seal] power, the crest glowed faintly and crumbled away like sand.

 And then, immediately after.

A new mark-the seal of my “Dedicated Slave”-appeared on the pure skin of her lower abdomen. It glowed faintly as it was engraved, carrying a new heat.

 With this-

The White Lion Princess Lumiá was mine, in name and in truth.

Still holding her in my arms, I walked toward the VIP room’s balcony.

Beyond the glass stretched the stadium, engulfed in a storm of frenzy.

 What a view.

A stage truly fitting for the victor.

 And I-

I held that sight up high for all to see.

The beastfolk princess cradled in my arms.

As the young champion displayed his trophy of victory, the crowd erupted. The day’s roar, deafening applause, shook the air and rumbled like thunder.

 It was my-

The moment of my complete victory.
