Chapter 594 Southern Continent Letter ①
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Not long after, my beloved second mage, Kushe, and my beloved step sister, Flearis, were both pregnant with my child. This year’s breeding season was more than half over, and I’d say I was doing a fine job living up to my reputation as a stud horse. With the second half still ahead, I hoped to keep up the pace.
At the same time, my beloved ‘Saint’ Sister Amelia’s due date was drawing near. According to the mysterious “divine protection” she’d sensed, it would certainly be an easy birth—but for different reasons, I found myself spending my days oddly restless.
One such day, a letter arrived from the Southern Continent. Needless to say, it was from Nada-san, who had previously visited this country as a guest, and her master, Meryamisha-dono.
To be honest, this was already our third exchange. The first had been the letter I sent with our initial transaction and its reply. The second came after the succubi had begun flowing into our territory, when I sent word acknowledging that our shop’s goods could serve as a countermeasure—along with her response. And this current exchange was something of a progress report.
In her reply to our second letter, she had included an apology on behalf of the Aurumcame Governor State regarding the succubi suddenly appearing. I didn’t think it was her place to apologize, but as someone responsible for protecting Harbor Town, she must have had her reasons.
She’d said they would investigate where the succubi were coming from, and this letter should contain the detailed findings.
She’d also expressed her gratitude for our shop’s products. As she’d mentioned in her first reply, she seemed to have taken quite a liking to the “Nip-Clit-Sucker” I’d sent her.
It hadn’t been that long between the first and second letters, but she appeared to have been using it quite enthusiastically—so much so that her n**ples and cl*toris had already started to grow, causing her some trouble. Naturally, I’d included a treatment with the third letter. Our shop takes after-sales service very seriously.
Then, regarding the Succubi front as it related to our products: she’d been skeptical about the fact that our goods could serve as a countermeasure—understandably so—but she’d agreed to do her own investigations and checks. There was also information that her territory had experienced fewer succubi incidents, so the link was something worth examining.
Now, as you can see, her letters were half official business and half openly personal letters. Everything I’d just listed was roughly half the content; the other half consisted of explicit records of her m**urbation and a fan letter addressed to me.
However, there was always the possibility that those sections contained important information as well, so translating them had been quite a challenge. When I realized I’d been deciphering m**urbation logs and fan letters, I couldn’t help but mutter, “No way…”
But thanks to that experience, I’d become considerably more familiar with the Southern Continent language—even if half of it was erotic vocabulary—so this time I should be able to figure it out faster than last time. Or so I’d thought, as I began reading—
’…No way’
I found myself muttering those words again—for a different reason this time. Naturally, I questioned whether I’d translated it wrong and checked multiple times. I also reread the Northern Continent language document that had been included (just a summary, since they too had difficulty reading and writing Northern Continent script, much like ourselves). In the end, I concluded there was no mistaking it.
And so, today, carrying that letter, I visited the usual office of Her Majesty the Queen. However, unlike usual, she wasn’t alone. Also present was His Highness Prince Roland-dono, who had recently learned our shop’s secret and was awaiting his coronation.
For the record, His Highness’s fiancée, the soon-to-be Queen Unia of Duke Greter’s household, was not present. This was an important diplomatic matter, after all. Until she formally became queen, she’d have to wait.
”Um, I heard a letter arrived from the Southern Continent…”
”Yes, here it is. It’s addressed primarily to me, but it also mentions that when Your Highness takes the throne, they’d very much like to send a representative. Though given the timing, she says it may be difficult to make it in time.”
”Ah… I, um, I see. Then tell them we welcome them—whether at the coronation itself or afterward.”
”Yes, understood.”
Perhaps it was the mention of the coronation that did it, but His Highness corrected the casual tone that had been slipping into his speech and replied formally.
A while ago, I’d have found it sweet—him stretching himself to sound mature. But His Highness had been growing steadily both physically and mentally, and with the coronation only months away, it no longer felt out of place.
His shoulders were broad now, his chest beginning to thicken, his arms and legs stretching long yet growing sturdy. He’d already passed his fiancée and sister in height, and was now nearly my equal. Before long, I’d probably be looking up at him.
His face, which still kept a hint of youthfulness, was becoming quite impressive—at least when he wasn’t around us. Especially during combat training with the soldiers, he’d begun to carry himself with a presence that commanded respect. By the time of his coronation, I was certain he’d have grown into a handsome young man whom his people would trust to lead the nation, and whom foreign officials would not dare underestimate.
”…So? The previous letter mentioned investigating the succubi’s entry route and methods of elimination.”
”Yes, Your Majesty. This time, we’ve received a progress report.”
Just as I was admiring His Highness’s growth, the Queen addressed me. I understood her feelings, but business first, I suppose. She was still the ruler, after all. I straightened up and began my report.
”First, regarding the succubi’s entry route. To put it plainly, they’re still investigating. However, they do seem to have some leads, and they’re advancing countermeasures alongside the investigation…”
”Hmm. From your tone, it doesn’t sound like someone was guiding them?”
”That appears unlikely, according to Meryamisha-dono. I share that view. From what I gather, the outflow of succubi is heavily looked down on over there. Particularly when it occurs through sea trade, it hurts negotiations with other nations. Currently, the lords governing Harbor Town are rushing to offer explanations and put measures in place.”
Indeed, the lords of the Aurumcame Governor State had no motive. If there were one, it would be secret dealings with forces from this side, but that would only harm the lords governing Harbor Town. There was still a possibility that inland lords were plotting behind the scenes, but the fact that they couldn’t control the current succubi outbreak spoke for itself.
”I see. And the investigation and countermeasures?”
”Apparently, they’re addressing gaps in existing measures, starting with areas where succubi outbreaks are most frequent. Originally, each lord maintained a policy of not interfering with each other, but now they’re sharing countermeasures, exchanging personnel, and cooperating more closely. Specifically, they’re managing ships entering and leaving port, checking crew members, patrolling the towns and streets, and keeping an eye on the coastline.”
”Tiring work…”
”There’s no other way, really. If they had Mother Marian or a ‘Holy Eminence’ on their side, it’d be a different story. But it’s not all bad. Since they’re all in the same boat now, the port-holding lords are banding together, building stronger bonds.”
”This must be terrible news for that eldest brother of theirs… This truly makes me wonder if Meryamisha-dono might actually become Governor after all.”
”Who can say? She doesn’t seem to want it…”
The Queen had likely been placing herself in Meryamisha-dono’s position. At the phrase “tiring work,” she’d made a tired face, and at “might actually become Governor,” she’d looked even more unhappy.
What was interesting was that Roland-dono had made the exact same expressions, even though they weren’t even looking at each other. Was that just sibling resemblance, or should I be glad that His Highness had developed a proper sense of duty as a ruler?
I couldn’t fully understand the weight of that responsibility, but surely Meryamisha-dono wore the same expression. After all, she’d had to m**urbate until her n**ples and clitoris grew—which suggested she was under that much stress.
”Very well, I understand. The villages along the southern coastline are the ones directly relevant to our nation, but with the Church’s involvement, we needn’t worry.”
”Yes. Apparently, monks from the Pilgrimage Faction are making regular patrols. And in any case, as long as Mother Marian is here, our nation is safe.”
”Not to mention you. For once, I’m relieved to have you around—but when exactly did our country become a den of perverts that even succubi fear…?”
Her Majesty wore a hard to read expression, and His Highness looked equally awkward. I took great offense, but truth be told, no matter how many succubi showed up, I never felt like I’d lose. My beloved wives were far more threatening.
”That about covers it, I think. Next, on a related note—the progress of succubi elimination.”
”Ah, please continue.”

• Flearis – A pale, pink-haired covert unit member serving as a diplomatic envoy, guard, shopkeeper, and Coalmine Kingdom liaison. The protagonist’s relative—Lily’s sister and Martin’s younger foster sister/sister-in-law—she displays a cold, vengeful pragmatism, notably when reporting Lily’s words to Martin. Though only mentioned, she is noted as next in line for mating season.
