Ravel Phenex waited for a moment, quickly looking at Xue and Isabella beside her.
Neither woman spoke—they only nodded, showing that the choice was fully Ravel’s.
Ravel felt divided. She didn’t know Seris at all.
Being with a stranger was a totally different experience from being with her own servants.
Yet as Aki’s Queen, she was also interested. Why was this woman so desperate to see him? The business about watching Naruse Mio had practically become a joke—the women had all but forgotten about it completely. By now, even the Nonaka sisters’ past as Heroes had nearly faded from memory. Aki had mentioned something about the Hero Clan, but there was no way anyone would connect it to keeping watch over the higher-ups.
Aki, seeing Ravel’s waiting, explained, “If you’d rather not, it’s fine. I can see her tomorrow. Seris is probably just here to keep an eye on us—make sure we don’t cause too much damage to the Human World.”
Ravel raised an eyebrow. “Her? Keep an eye on us?” She tilted her head. “Is she even that strong? She sounded young enough.”
Given Aki’s current power, unless someone was Demon King-class, they wouldn’t be able to watch him properly—even if he agreed to it. Against a High God, mental magic or memory control would work easily. Unless someone had a rule-breaking Talent like Basara Toujou’s, anyone below Demon King-class wouldn’t stand a chance. Did Seris have that? No. She was a Hero with impressive talent, and in pure fighting terms, she wasn’t below Basara Toujou. But compared to Rias and the others, she came up short—let alone someone as strong as Aki.
”Eh… she’s okay, I guess,” Aki said, his memory of Seris being somewhat not clear. Still, since she was a character introduced later in the story, her fighting ability was probably on the higher end. “I’d say S-Rank, maybe?”
Ravel nodded knowingly. “Not bad, then. About the same as the last ones, I take it.” For a human to reach High-Class Devil levels of power through a Sacred Gear—especially at such a young age—was truly impressive. After all, Sacred Gears chose their users. Controlling one was proof of ability itself.
Ravel’s interest grew. Her Peerage still had one slot open. If possible…
”Aki-sama,” she said, “let her in.”
Ravel settled against Aki, using Xue and Isabella on either side as cover. Even if Seris walked in, the angle would hide most of her bare skin from view.
Aki smiled, running his fingers through Ravel’s golden hair, then called toward the door, “Seris Leadheart, come in.”
Seris didn’t wait. She pushed the unlocked door open and stepped inside.
Meanwhile, Nonaka Yuki, her mission complete, slipped away with red cheeks. She knew better than to stay—if she saw a bit of what was happening behind that door, she’d probably end up joining herself. As members of Aki’s Peerage, they already received more than their share of his love. But Ravel’s first time as his Queen—unless she specifically invited them, as Xue and Isabella had been—it wasn’t really right to walk in.
”Red Dragon Emperor-sama, forgive my interruption,” Seris said, closing the door behind her. The tall, blonde schoolgirl pressed a hand to her chest and offered a slight bow. “Allow me to introduce myself again. I am Seris Leadheart, a Hero from the Vati—”
But when she straightened and looked up at the scene before her, the words died in her throat.
She’d thought the few minutes of waiting had given Aki time to clean up. Surely it wouldn’t be anything too bad. She’d been wrong. Far from clearing things away, the scene had only gotten more intense. One man and three women tangled together—pale, spreading limbs, red faces, heavy breaths, the moving of hips despite Xue and Isabella’s bodies partly blocking the view. Seris understood exactly what Aki was doing with Ravel.
Yet it wasn’t disgusting. Aki was handsome, Ravel and the others were beautiful—the whole picture had a strange, almost attractive pull.
The room’s smell—slightly flowery, slightly musky—filled her senses. Under her white pleated skirt, Seris’s long legs, covered in black silk stockings, pressed together without thinking.
Ravel, going through Aki’s second attack, looked over at Seris. Not very beautiful, but definitely a top-level beauty. And from her feel, still a virgin. If they included her, it wouldn’t be out of the question. As for her strength—without a fight, it was hard to judge. Sacred Gears, when not in use, were nearly impossible to notice, and even special sensing methods couldn’t tell how much power the user could actually use. Still, judging by her spiritual energy alone, Seris was much stronger than the Nonaka sisters had been at the start. She was likely S-Rank fighting material.
An excellent choice for a Peerage.
Once Ravel confirmed that, she relaxed even more. Unlike Rias, who treated her Peerage like family, Ravel’s attitude was more practical—she wouldn’t treat them badly, but she kept a certain distance. As Ravel often put it: My Peerage belongs to me. No one else gets to bully them. Well, now Aki was included in that exception.
Aki, meanwhile, was looking over the proper Seris. She matched his unclear memories, though in person she was more striking—especially those long, thin legs wrapped in black silk stockings. The sight made him speed up his pace against Ravel.
When Seris froze, Aki spoke first. “I already know why you’re here. The agreement can be honored, of course. But do you honestly think it still matters?”
Seris pulled herself together, pushing down the strange heat in her chest. “I know my strength means nothing to you,” she said firmly. “But if I let that stop me, I’d never have come this far.”
Aki grunted as Ravel’s inner walls suddenly tightened around him—not from dislike, but from her own peak. He paused, lowering his head to kiss the soft round of her chest, then looked back up at Seris.
The truth was, Ravel hadn’t been unhappy. Aki, so focused on his words, had unknowingly sped up and used stronger technique, bringing the already-sensitive Ravel to her second peak. Taking pity on her, Aki laid Xue down beside them. He pulled out his slippery, burning Great Dragon from Ravel’s garden and placed himself at Xue’s entrance.
Xue let out a satisfied moan, her eyes half-closed with pleasure, while Isabella—who’d been waiting eagerly—looked on with clear envy. Somewhere along the way, her half-mask had fallen off, showing a face caught between strong pride and aching want.
”Aki-sama,” Isabella whispered, “by the order of things, wasn’t it supposed to be my turn?”
Aki paused, seeing his mistake. He did have a soft spot for Xue, but he hadn’t meant to skip Isabella on purpose. Giving her an embarrassed smile, he reached over and drew her into his arms, touching her back as she settled against him.
Seris watched, her face burning red. When that particular part of Aki’s body came into full view, it felt as if her heart had stopped. Just a single look, yet the picture of Little Aki was burned into her mind, refusing to leave. And with Aki having changed positions, the sight of him moving in and out of Xue’s garden was now fully in view.
The Vatican Hero knew she shouldn’t look. But her eyes refused to obey, pulled again and again to that powerfully male symbol.
As Aki continued his rhythm and Xue’s helpless little gasps filled the room, Seris suddenly realized her underwear was wet. She regretted not waiting until morning to come. But leaving now would only make her look more sad.
After a moment, Aki brought Isabella to a breathless kiss, still moving into Xue as she covered her mouth. He looked back at Seris—the hero schoolgirl still standing there, her black-stockinged legs rubbing together restlessly.
From her reaction, Aki felt sure.
In the original timeline, Seris had fallen in just a month. Her attraction to Basara Toujou was part of it, along with Maria’s succubus influence—but Seris herself was hardly innocent. Now, with Aki’s succubus charm fully going beyond even that of the little succubus girl, combined with the close-up view of real dual cultivation, the effect wasn’t any weaker than a month of slow conditioning.
And considering Seris had come this far for the mission, she clearly wasn’t as devoted to Basara Toujou as she’d been in the original world line. That made more sense, honestly—one childhood meeting, then loving for over a decade? Silly. Maybe she’d had some feelings, but if she never met anyone who caught her eye, running into Basara again might have brought them back. But now, face to face with Aki—more handsome, more powerful, more important—Seris had no reason to hold onto old memories.
As for his womanizing… or rather, the need for it due to his dual cultivation ability… she’d already found ways to explain it away. People tricked themselves. As the saying went: not knowing was happiness. The ones who couldn’t let things go—they lived the hardest lives.
Aki smiled. “Seris, if you want to keep up this close watching, you’ll have to get used to scenes like this. They won’t happen every day, but they’ll happen often enough.”
As he saw it, Seris was still technically here to watch Naruse Mio. And Naruse Mio didn’t cultivate with him every day—but three times a week, at least. After all, she was the only person in this world, alongside Rias, with the most talent and potential he’d ever seen.

Summary:

Sent on a close observation mission regarding Aki and the Naruse sisters. Determined and refuses to back down despite warnings.
• Nonaka sisters – A pair of sisters among Aki’s inner circle. Gifted young women. Former Hero Clan agents sent to monitor the Divine Research Society. They have since become allies of Aki and his group.
• Naruse Mio – A gifted 17-year-old and daughter of the late Demon King Wilbert, she is a defiant, tsundere high schooler with signature red twin ponytails. Aki’s loyal girlfriend, she carries her father’s legacy while navigating the Gremory peerage and political intrigue. Despite her naivety, she boldly rejects the throne and manipulation, relying on Aki’s guidance and their bond to survive the supernatural world.
• Naruse – Mio Naruse is a fair-skinned, red-haired schoolgirl with a voluptuous build who serves as a Demon King heir and Bishop in Aki’s peerage. Protected by the Gremory household, this “Sister Flower” evolves from a hesitant tsundere into Aki’s devoted, polyamorous partner. She maintains deep, essential bonds with her sister Maria, friend Kurumi, and her adoptive parents, forming the core Naruse family.
• Nonaka – Sharing a familial connection, the Nonaka sisters—Yuki, Ikumi, Yuzuki, and Kurumi—maintain a composed, unified identity as professional surveillance monitors. Acting as Aki’s companions and Mio’s close security, one petite, long-haired sister with a delicate build observes Aki and Mio’s intimacy with envy, later left physically exhausted after performing her own intimate tasks for Aki.

Jin’s son, Aki’s brother-in-law, and a candidate for Chisato Hasegawa to rely upon (though less promising than Aki), he was destined to protect Chisato. Alienated by the Hero Clan, he fights for his cousins and the Gremory household, balancing family conflict and mastering his Banishing Shift.
• Basara – Basara Toujou is a pragmatic student and quarter-demon swordsman wielding Brynhildr. • Rias – Rias Gremory, a sharp, playful high-class devil and Gremory heiress, is Sirzechs’s sister and daughter of Venelana. Known for her crimson hair, she heads the Occult Research Club, protecting her peerage including Mio, Xenovia, and Maria. As Aki’s fiancée and partner privy to his transmigration, she guides his cultivation while navigating complex feelings toward his pursuit of Grayfia and her mother.
• Yuki – Nonaka Yuki is a white-gold and blue-haired demon hero schoolgirl with indigo eyes and a combat build. A former Hero serving as a Knight-class member at Aki’s mansion, this Hero Clan monitor and kendo expert hides a volatile nature behind a cold facade. Kurumi’s “Sister Flowers” sibling, she assists Maria in training and shares a sensitive, dual-cultivation intimacy with Aki.
• Maria – A clever, headstrong succubus and royal subordinate, she is the daughter of Shela and possesses Wilbert’s blood.
