Chapter 466 Nao’s Decision & World Line Convergence?
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Aki knew about these circumstances but couldn’t be bothered to deal with them.
Both of his major organizations were privately owned, same nature as a zaibatsu, fundamentally unafraid of any external pressure.
Moreover, the core personnel of Takamine-san’s group were all supernatural beings, and under his nurturing, an A-Rank powerhouse had already emerged.
S-Rank was already the Human World’s pinnacle combat power, rarely appearing.
And anyone who reached S-Rank would know the Gremory household stood behind Takamine-san’s girls—unless they had a death wish, they wouldn’t come looking for trouble.
Some men thought this company was bad; naturally, some men thought it was good—especially married men.
Think about it: your wife works at a company full of nothing but women. That sense of security is explosive.
Plus when you go pick up your wife after work, you get to openly ogle all kinds of stunning beauties.
Besides ability, looks were also a hiring standard. Can’t say they’re all peerless beauties, but at minimum with makeup on, they all qualify as beautiful women.
Aki didn’t deliberately chase married women, but whenever he visited the company, some would throw themselves at him.
Not because they knew his identity—just thirsty for his body.
Facing this, Aki didn’t sample all of them. They had to be pretty enough, with good enough figures.
Though just flings, he wasn’t someone any random woman could get.
Fortunately, those meeting his standards mostly had some chastity concepts, so he didn’t have romantic encounters every visit.
After the sports festival ended smoothly, Aki made his customary inspection visit and properly “fed” the organization’s core female members.
Ever since the dual cultivation partners in the Grand Western-Style Mansion kept increasing, the rules he’d set earlier became harder and harder to enforce.
Fortunately, after Aki forced a breakthrough to God-class, one session could basically keep them satisfied for months.
Otherwise, he’d really have to research clone-type magic.
Leaving the thriving company, Aki used Contact Magic to reach Gasper, arranging to meet at a dessert shop.
Through relentless effort, Contact Magic could now see preliminary use—precision and convenience were top-tier, just range was still lacking.
Currently limited to Tokyo. Distance from covering the entire Human World, let alone all Three Realms, still needed time to perfect.
Though it looked somewhat redundant, not as useful as a cell phone, with this magic he no longer had to worry about no signal situations.
About ten minutes later, Gasper and Tachibana Nao appeared before Aki together.
Casually ordering desserts for the two, Aki cut straight to the chase: “Nao, have you decided which gender to choose?”
”Ah…”
The androgynously-dressed Tachibana Nao’s small hands trembled. Didn’t expect Aki to be this direct.
Through Chisato Hasegawa’s introduction, Gasper quickly became good friends with Tachibana Nao.
Both Gasper and Tachibana Nao were introverted and simple-natured. After spending time together, they basically had no secrets between them.
Aki considered this too—never made Gasper keep it secret from the start.
With Chisato Hasegawa mediating, Tachibana Nao’s gender decision progressed surprisingly smoothly.
This time Aki summoned Gasper, didn’t expect Nao to tag along.
Hmm, thanks to Gasper’s words and deeds, plus various considerations, Tachibana Nao had basically completely feminized, so Aki now felt using “she” was more appropriate.
Of course, such smooth progress was also because Tachibana Nao’s personality leaned female originally.
Plus her friend Gasper was clearly a boy yet desperately wanted to be a girl—constant exposure let her confirm Gasper felt this from the heart, not to help Aki.
This basically locked in Tachibana Nao’s gender solidification direction. Since she came, might as well settle this.
Nearly a month since the sports festival, third semester half-over. Whether Tachibana Nao agreed to choose female and have Aki solidify her, a conclusion was due.
Aki felt Nao coming with Gasper meant she’d made her decision.
His purpose was never hidden—he wanted Nao’s body, plus her unique Talent and Bloodline.
In any world, True Ancestor Bloodline was a powerful Bloodline.
Aki now possessed multiple high-grade Bloodlines, but truly lacked True Ancestor.
Passive Talent: Origin Bloodline—finally getting another upgrade after so long.
Just that fully completing it still had ways to go—this world’s Bloodlines were too many and too mixed.
Though Origin Bloodline completion only needed the strongest few, to date even the easiest powerful Bloodlines weren’t all acquired.
Like, Elf Bloodline.
This often depended not on effort but luck.
If he couldn’t meet a suitable female elf, even placing the purest Elf Bloodline before him, he couldn’t perfectly integrate it.
While Tachibana Nao spaced out, Aki didn’t rush.
Like he’d said—this depended more on luck.
On Nao’s matter he’d spent barely any thought or time. If she was willing, best case. If not…
He’d find a way to make her willing.
Long as Tachibana Nao chose to solidify as female, rest could wait.
Now it seemed this most critical step was achieved.
Pulled back by Gasper, Tachibana Nao finally snapped out of it.
Face red, hands clenched into tight fists, wanting to meet Aki’s gaze but ultimately looking away, voice mosquito-quiet: “I… I hope you can help stabilize my body state…”
Aki’s brow quirked. A nearly dissipated memory suddenly surfaced.
I see. Though her Bloodline was special, allowing free gender switching, it wasn’t without side effects.
Tachibana Nao’s gender changed with her self-perception—put differently, it shifted with her mental state.
Conversely, physical instability led to mental instability.
Ordinary people with mental issues was serious enough, let alone Vampires.
Approaching adulthood, Nao’s mental state was truly at its limit. Without stabilization soon, she’d likely go mad, degenerate into a mindless monster.
Her good relationship with Chisato Hasegawa was because staying near a god with an affinity aura improved her mental state.
”I can help, but I’ll only solidify you in the female direction.”
Though Aki knew Nao asking this meant she’d prepared herself mentally, he still reiterated.
Didn’t want to get disgusted halfway through solidification, or have Nao bite the hand that fed her afterward.
Meh, though this possibility was tiny—tiny to near nonexistent.
If Nao had that guts, she wouldn’t have lived so miserably in the Human World all these years despite her power.
A bashful blush on her already clearly feminized pretty face, Tachibana Nao reached up and removed the plain glasses hiding her features.
”I… I understand.”
She mustered courage, enduring shame, “I’m willing to offer my body to Aki-sama, only asking Aki-sama to always protect me.”
Aki’s intentions, Chisato Hasegawa had directly told Nao, also explaining the stakes.
Benefits went without saying: complete physical stabilization, no more assassination worries, rapid power growth.
Downsides—if forced to name one: muddleheadedly becoming Aki’s woman, no real feelings between them, no chance to experience so-called love this lifetime.
Actually Nao never dreamed of love. Her hesitation was mainly just shyness.
”Fine, I got it.”
Aki’s mood was quite good. Just as he was about to set a time with Nao, his brow suddenly furrowed.
”Sorry, mind waiting here a bit? Be right back.”
”Aki, what happened?” Gasper asked worriedly.
He was bad with crowds to begin with. Now Aki was leaving—he immediately felt panic.
”Nothing major. Just a little ant to deal with.”
Aki soothed: “How about you head back first. Nao, go home and wait for me too.”
Originally wanted to pick timing, but half the day was free anyway. Might as well deal with the ant then start directly.
”Okay.” ×2
The two introverts agreed instantly, polished off remaining desserts in a few bites, and left immediately.
Meanwhile Aki had already arrived at Aisu Academy. Gazing at the familiar gates, a strange feeling rose in his chest.
Last time here was right after entering the Inner World. That Hypnosis Glasses incident was resolved, but the process wasn’t perfect.
If it were current him, he’d have three-plus better solutions.
Pity—time doesn’t reverse.
But this time, he wouldn’t leave regrets.
Figure flashing, transparent spatial ripples passing, Aki vanished from the gates, instantly appearing in a music room.
A heavy piano sat center-room. Besides newly-arrived Aki, an unconscious female teacher and a mechanical Angel preparing to strike a killing blow.
The sudden spatial fluctuation made the humanoid mechanical Angel covered in green mana circuits instinctively turn. Before it could speak, Aki beat it: “Long time no see, Ornis. Still ugly as ever.”
”You! Red Dragon Emperor!”
The mechanical Angel named Ornis’s face darkened. “How are you here?”
”Hey hey hey. You cause trouble on my turf, try to kill someone, pull a bait-and-switch—and you ask why I’m here?”
”You intend to stop me?”
Aki: “…”
Looking at Ornis speechlessly, Aki lost all desire to converse.
”Before I kill you, any last words?”
Facing Ornis, Aki couldn’t help recalling the Three Factions Summit.
Back then, the troublemakers Zolgear and Ornis were both “acquaintances.” Aki had wondered if they’d cause trouble later. Pity his strength then couldn’t strangle the danger in the cradle.
Just strength insufficient—NOT because all his attention was on capturing Cattleya that brown-skinned beauty.
Zolgear later showed some presence. That unique telekinesis magic Aki didn’t use often but never stopped training.
But seeing Ornis now…
Only use seemed to be giving him a laugh.
Ornis’s expression stiffened. Instinctively tightened grip on his hostage, but before threats could leave his mouth, he suddenly found himself unable to move even a finger.
Ornis was still Demon King-class. Aki was now Sub-Dragon God-Class. Realm pressure alone made movement difficult.
Not to mention—Aki used intangible mental power to protect that female teacher.
Ornis rallied all energy, discovered he couldn’t even self-destruct, and finally gave up.
”Worthy of history’s strongest Red Dragon Emperor. This growth speed is truly eye-opening.”
”Thanks for the praise.”
Aki said blandly: “So. Your last words are just that?”
Though resigned, Ornis still wanted to die understanding.
He’d just emerged from a subspace, decided to kill a female teacher and replace her identity, slowly scheme—result: caught red-handed by Aki.
”How did you discover me here?”
Aki’s spatial teleportation was simple enough—no need to ask how he arrived so fast. The problem: Ornis had hidden his presence well, yet was discovered almost instantly.
”Almost instantly” because before killing the teacher, he needed to read memories—otherwise his later acting might show flaws.
Ornis’s memory-reading time coincided exactly with Aki receiving the report and rushing over.
About ten seconds.
Could only say Ornis picked a bad spot. Anywhere else, but he chose Aisu Academy.
Besides the two organizations’ bases, Aisu Academy was among the ordinary-person gathering places Aki monitored most closely.
Not just Takamine-san’s daughters and Miyajima Tsubaki’s girls—due to the past incident, quite a few other girls at this school had relations with him.
Ornis hid his presence well, but only his presence—not his form.
Ordinary people couldn’t see him. But unluckily, Aisu Academy had quite a few non-ordinary people.
The one who spotted the “monster” happened to be Obata Yui, who immediately notified Aki.
Ornis’s appearance—in unknowing eyes—was indeed a monster.
But this monster’s features were distinct. One description from Obata Yui and Aki instantly knew it was Ornis, then rushed over nonstop.
Ornis never noticed the outside world. Obata Yui’s B-Rank strength was no different from ordinary people—ants—to him.
Plus Obata Yui used the not-yet-public stealth-type Contact Magic. Ornis never detected his presence had been leaked.
After a simple answer resolving Ornis’s doubt, Aki asked amid the other’s shock: “I answered one question. Now hope you’ll answer one of mine.”
”What do you want to know?”
Suppressing death-fear, Ornis feigned calm.
”Simple. Your purpose coming to the Human World. And why replace that female teacher.”
Per Aki’s memory, Ornis should’ve descended for Afreya—Chisato Hasegawa.
But now, Chisato Hasegawa’s divinity was stripped, probably long returned to the Ten Core Gods. Why would Ornis still descend?
Also, originally he should’ve killed a scumbag teacher who targeted female students. That trash was already dealt with by Aki earlier. Why pick an unrelated female teacher now?
Could it be… even at this stage, the world line still keeps converging?
Ornis fell silent. Aki wasn’t surprised.
If he’d been overly cooperative, THAT would be surprising.
”You can not say. But then you’ll suffer a bit.”
Mental magic Aki was now quite skilled at. And with Sub-Dragon God-Class strength reading a Demon King-class’s memories—truly effortless.
Rescuing the female teacher Ornis held, Aki glanced—quite young and pretty, unfamiliar, probably new.
Setting the young teacher aside, a pale purple magic circle appeared in Aki’s palm.
Just as he prepared to act, Ornis finally spoke.
Not speaking would just mean more pain. One look at that glaring purple magic circle and he knew he couldn’t resist Aki’s forced memory reading.
”I came to the Human World just to ask Afreya-sama—why Freya-sama and Sif-sama abandoned the Divine Realm, abandoned us.”
”Then what?” Aki’s brow quirked. “Can’t be you’d just ask and leave.”
”…”
Silence. Then Ornis slowly said: “After divinity stripping, the three’s strength should’ve fallen to Demon King-class. I planned to find a chance to forcefully bring them back.”
”Your personal action or…”
”My personal action.”
Ornis said: “I know what you’re asking. But the Chief God already decreed—Afreya’s three’s defection is pardoned. Divine Realm’s current top priority is finding new Chief God successors, quickly filling the three vacant god seats.”
”Hmm. Then what do you personally want with them?”
Aki watched Ornis with interest. Originally thought this guy was just obsessed with Chisato Hasegawa. Didn’t expect ANY goddess was his target.
Ornis didn’t answer this time—but his silence was the best answer.
Aki had no interest in pressing further, switched questions: “Next. Why here? Why this female teacher?”
”Nothing special. Figured female appearance would better approach Afreya-sama and them. As for here—simply because it’s close.”
Aisu Academy was the university nearest Kuoh Academy. Also not far from Aki’s place. Very logical.
As for this teacher—pure bad luck. Happened to be alone, got targeted.
Questions done, Aki’s doubts were mostly cleared.
He swiftly killed Ornis, minimizing pain—as repayment for the cooperation just now.
