Chapter 15 There’s No Need to Hold Back ①
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
The Third Queen’s blessing had vanished – well, she was an imposter, so she’d never had one to begin with – and once the King confirmed it, he gathered men and tried to have her gang-raped.
But halfway through, it came to light that the Third Queen had actually been swapped with a demon.
Shocked by the demon’s true form, the King passed out.
The gathered men fled, leaving the King collapsed on the floor.
”Probably had something to do with his usual poor health,” Lili Lim later told them. “Looks like he just up and died.”
The King’s goal had been to summon the Demon God of Jealousy using a child born from infidelity as a sacrifice.
”A child born to his partner from someone else’s seed,” Lili Lim explained. “When you offer that as a sacrifice, the one who appears is Levaiya – one of the Demon Gods of Jealousy.”
”Why Levaiya specifically?” Marqui asked.
”Among the high-ranking Demon Gods, Levaiya is the only one who can be summoned with such a specific offering,” she replied. “Any high-ranking Demon God would have done, honestly – it didn’t have to be her.”
In the game, Rosella would have killed her father the King and installed a body double, but he went and died on his own.
Rosella’s dark descent event never triggered.
There was no longer any reason to keep Beezea’s presence in the dungeon a secret from Rosella, so Marqui told her.
She grilled him about why he’d kept quiet – until he tried the brute-force method of shutting her up with a kiss, and she forgave him.
Beezea was sent to the detached palace where the First Princess and Third Prince resided, and the Cat Demon God who’d been looking after her was assigned – at Marqui’s request – to stay in his room as his counselor and healer.
But one question lingered: where had the King learned that Levaiya could be summoned with a child born from infidelity?
Had someone deliberately fed him that information?
With that mystery unresolved, a year and some months passed without any major incidents.
Though many nobles remained corrupt, the Purge was progressing steadily.
The King’s transformation must have baffled them.
Thanks to the body-double Demon God handling the royal duties competently, Rosella also gained more time to herself.
Scrape – the sound of shaving echoed between Rosella’s thighs.
Two lady’s maids held up the hem of her dress from both sides as she sat in her chair, with Marqui positioned directly before her crotch.
”Your Highness…” Marqui began.
”What?” Rosella asked.
”Have you… been touching yourself more often lately?”
Lavia seemed darker than before.
”Wh-what – we’re engaged, sure, but there are things you can say and things you can’t!” Rosella protested.
She couldn’t avoid it, couldn’t refuse it, and couldn’t escape it.
He loved her, sure – of course he did.
But he didn’t want to become part of the royal family.
”It’s fine – even an idiot can handle it,” Rosella said, citing the Second Prince as an example, and against his better judgment, Marqui nodded.
And yet here he was, still her shaver.
”No, but, you know – if you’re lonely, then – ” Marqui started.
”No,” Rosella cut in. “I’ve heard that if you give men easy forgiveness, they get bored right away.”
Marqui’s m**urbation ban was still in effect.
”Sooner or later, I’m going to explode too,” Marqui muttered.
”You’re doing it with Elder Sister, aren’t you?” Rosella shot back.
Lili Lim appeared capriciously, dressed as a lady’s maid.
She was always unpredictable – who knew when she’d demand his life force again.
”All done – shaved nice and clean,” Marqui announced.
On the smooth mound of flesh, a crotch tattoo was etched.
He’d never once used it – it was normally hidden – but if this pent-up frustration kept up, he was starting to think about putting it to use.
Though the aftermath scared him.
After all, Rosella’s current level was one hundred and seven.
Marqui had reached one hundred and twenty-one, but Rosella was faster, and her attack power was higher too.
And if she pulled out the Holy Sword on top of that? He’d be in serious trouble.
Marqui was also strengthening his own blade, but the Stone-Seat Sword’s effect of chipping away at defense was just plain cheap.
”What’s on the schedule after this?” Marqui asked.
”Off to the Royal Castle for a meeting with the Minister of the Interior,” Rosella replied.
Since the new King had taken the throne, Rosella had moved out of the castle and established her residence on the outskirts of the Royal Capital.
It was a three-story mansion with a rose garden.
For now, things were peaceful.
Rosella hadn’t started any aggressive wars; there were some domestic issues here and there, and intelligence suggested the Empire was stirring, but relations with neighboring countries were good.
In short, things were mostly happy.
The carriage was ready. As they stepped out the front entrance –
Music drifted in from somewhere.
Marqui recognized it – it had a certain martial vigor.
”What is this music?” Marqui asked.
Everyone could hear it, but no one could tell where it was coming from.
”N-no way…” Marqui breathed.
”Marqui, look!” Rosella pointed to the sky.
Huge letters were floating there.
”What does it say? What language is that?” Rosella demanded.
Marqui went pale.
”Princess Knight Chronicles…”
What was playing was the opening theme of Princess Knight Chronicles.
And in the sky, the title.
The game was starting.
Wait, no – there was no war happening. Even scanning the entire continent, there were only minor skirmishes, nothing that qualified as a real conflict.
Had a Demon Lord appeared without them knowing?
”That’s… in the direction of Rulguard,” Rosella said slowly.
The stage where the story begins – the homeland of the protagonist and heroine.
Princess Rennes of Rulguard was the protagonist.
”Right now, Brother Klado is in Rulguard…” Rosella murmured.
”That’s it!” Marqui exclaimed.
He remembered.
At the start of the game’s story, the Akeios army invades the Kingdom of Rulguard and storms the Royal Castle.
Rennes fights her first battle there – and the boss of that event is Klado. He goes down quickly, so it wasn’t exactly memorable.
”What’s wrong, Marqui?” Rosella asked.
”We have to go to Rulguard,” Marqui said urgently. “Right now.”
Even with magically enhanced horses, it would take days.
By his estimate, Klado should be arriving at the Royal Castle of Rulguard around now.
”Lili Lim!” Marqui shouted. “I know you’re there, Lili Lim!”
Elusive as she was, whenever he called, she tended to show up quickly.
”You called?” Lili Lim appeared, dressed in a lady’s maid uniform despite the presence of the other maids and the coachman.
”I need to get to Rulguard as fast as possible,” Marqui said. “Carry me with your wings.”
”If that’s the case, there’s a faster way,” Lili Lim replied.
”Anything,” Marqui said. “Just hurry.”
”Then let’s go through the Demon Realm,” Lili Lim said.
”Huh?” Marqui started.
Lili Lim took his hand, and his body was sucked into a magic circle that opened at his feet.
* * *
Klado had traveled to the Kingdom of Rulguard to conclude a treaty of friendship.
It wasn’t that their relations had been bad before – they simply hadn’t put it in writing.
With the King of Akeios – his father – apparently changing his stance, the formal agreement was now underway.
”Hoh,” Klado mused. “A castle with charm, isn’t it?”
The white-walled castle nestled in the forest was much smaller than Akeios’s, but it radiated history, and the water in the surrounding moat sparkled beautifully.
”Your Highness,” one of his knights said with a grin, “I didn’t know you knew words like ‘charm.’”
”I-I’m not that stupid,” Klado retorted.
His escort knights all laughed good-naturedly.
Klado had spent his entire military career, so he’d quickly bonded with his guards, and this journey had been a pleasant one.
That’s why he stayed on horseback rather than in the carriage.
For a brute like him, this was less tiring than riding inside.
On the castle walls, flags waved in welcome.
As they drew closer, the drawbridge lowered and the main gate opened.
The King of Rulguard stood at the center, the Queen beside him, with guards lined up beyond.
They’d arrived a little earlier than planned, but he was grateful they’d quickly prepared to receive them.
He dismounted and walked onto the bridge toward the gate.
The King smiled; they’d likely shake hands once close enough.
Kaldo smiled back, leading the way forward.
Behind him, about three hundred knights were assembled – to his eye, and he could see it, that was more than enough force given their training to take this small castle.
Suddenly, the sky flashed.
He looked up – and the next moment, the shock came.
Zing! Boom – crash – crash – crash!
They were small light-balls, but each one packed enough power to kill a man instantly.
They pierced the King of Rulguard, then the Queen, then the guards – cutting them down one after another.
”Your Highness!” one of the knights shouted, shoving Klado down and covering him with a shield.
What in the world just happened?
The rain of light-balls ceased, and Klado stood.
He was stunned.
The King, the Queen, the soldiers – everyone on the Rulguard side lay fallen.
Meanwhile, the Akeios side had no casualties.
”Th-this looks like…” Klado stammered.
It looked exactly like an Akeios attack, a magical assault that had slaughtered Rulguard’s castle garrison and royalty.
”Stay alert!” Klado shouted. “The enemy could still be – “
”KYAAAAAAAA!”
A scream rang out.
A girl in a pale blue minidress stood trembling at the carnage.
She was beautiful – golden hair to her shoulders, vivid blue eyes.
His memory supplied the name: Rennes Vagin, the Princess of Rulguard, famed as the Princess Knight.
With shaking hands, she touched the King and Queen, confirming they were nothing but corpses, and turned toward him – eyes blazing with hatred.
”It was YOU!” Rennes screamed.
He realized what she was thinking – immediately.
”W-wait,” Klado said, raising his hands. “I didn’t do-“
Consumed by rage, she drew her sword and lunged.
”H-hear me – ” Klado tried again.
The knights moved to protect him.
But her blade reached Klado first.
Watching blood spray from his own chest, Klado collapsed.
A short while earlier.
Rennes had been flustered.
She’d heard the Akeios envoy would arrive earlier than expected, so she’d cut her sword training short and rushed back to her room.
After changing from training clothes into a dress, she hurried to the main gate, mortified by her own lingering sweat.
She’d get scolded by the King and Queen later – but she’d charm her way out of it with the Akeios King’s younger brother.
Running in a hurry meant the short hem would flip up and nearly show her underwear, but a long dress made running impossible – and wouldn’t match her boots anyway.
This was her first diplomatic gathering, but she’d been too rushed to be nervous.
She’d just fake a smile and get through it.
The main gate came into view, and the guards lined up in formation.
She’d made it.
The moment that relief hit – the sky flashed.
Light-balls rained down, piercing body after body and sending people crumpling to the ground.
She froze.
Before her eyes, one person after another – everyone familiar, everyone whose names and faces she knew – was dying.
Who could have done this?
She thought she heard a whisper.
”Chapter One: The Akeios Army’s Invasion.”
Invasion?
So this was a surprise attack by Akeios?
The light-balls stopped. She walked forward, still stunned.
She saw her father and mother lying fallen.
She reached out, touched them gently, and found they weren’t breathing.
She looked ahead.
The man at the front of the Akeios group – it looked like he was smiling.
”It was YOU!” Rennes screamed.
Her mind went white with rage as she drew her sword and closed the distance in a single burst.
The short sword’s strike carved a critical hit into the man’s chest.
One blow, and he was down.
Clad! His Highness!
”You bastard… Protect His Highness!”
The knights of Akeios blocked Rennes, who was about to land the killing blow.
These bastards were all her enemies.
She’d slaughter every last one.
Her body felt lighter than usual – every attack she unleashed was a critical hit, every single one.
She blew away the shield-bearing knight, and the man at the front – dragged backward by the impact – she closed in on him too.
This had to be Clad, the Second Prince of Akeios.
Which meant he was the head of the invading army.
They were about to cast Healing Magic on him.
She cut down the enemy knights surrounding him, sweeping them aside with her sword, but just as she reached striking distance of Clad, she felt something wrong in her groin.
There was a magic circle at her feet, and from it a man’s face had surfaced – pressed right against her crotch.
”Eh…? N-n-no… NOOOOOO!”
Into the rage-whitened blank of her mind, a sharp spike of shame drove itself.
* * *
The demon realm – that’s where souls go after death, right?
A place righteous people don’t even go to after they die, right?
According to Lili Lim, the territory of Lust is mainly where they punish s*x offenders.
”Hehe, Marqui, when you die, you’re absolutely coming here – so when that happens, I’ll welcome you.”
That’s what she’d said to her.
”What kind of punishment am I getting?!”
”Don’t worry. When you get here, you’ll be reincarnated as a demon god. I’ll make a vessel for you now – we just need to put your soul in it, and that way you’ll truly become my little brother.”
Like hell I am!
Hold on, let me think for a second.
He’d already greeted Lili Lim’s parents, and they’d taken a liking to him.
”Instead of making some vessel, I’ll just give birth to her myself.”
Lili Lim’s mother was all for it.
”Then let’s get started right away.”
And her father was equally game.
Wait – “get started right away” – are we assuming she’s dying immediately?!
This wasn’t the time for this.
She set the coordinates to Rule Guard’s Royal Castle and teleported from the demon realm back to the surface world.
The teleport should have succeeded.
But everything in front of him was pitch black.
And it was stifling – the smell was overpoweringly female.
”Eh…? N-n-no… NOOOOOO!”
Suddenly everything brightened.
And the obstruction was gone – his entire body, down to his feet, had fully materialized in the surface world.
”Uh, this is…”
He looked around.
He’d never been here before, but he felt like he recognized it.
This was the front of Rule Guard’s Royal Castle – exactly as he’d seen it on the game screen.
”Ah, you are… Magnum-sama!”
He turned around – Clad was collapsed on the ground, blood flowing from his chest, and it looked like they’d just started healing him.
”What about His Highness Clad?” he asked.
”He’s barely hanging on…” one of the knights replied.
Did he make it in time?
But looking at the carnage near the castle’s main gate, he couldn’t be so sure.
It didn’t seem like anyone had time to explain exactly what had happened.
A girl with a bright red face was glaring at him with murderous intensity.
Rennes…
The girl he had controlled as a player character was now directing a murderous intent at him.
As they faced each other, he could see Rennes’s status.
Level 5.
But her event bonuses were insane.
No – this kind of boost wasn’t in the game.
Her effective stats matched Level 50. At this rate, the guard knights wouldn’t stand a chance against her.
”I’ll hold her back. In the meantime, take His Highness Clad and fall back – all of you,” he ordered.
”R-right,” the knight stammered.
She was clearly seeing red – you could call it an awakening event in progress.
”Die, invader!” Rennes screamed.
Rennes dove straight at him, and he drew and parried her sword in one motion.
Marqui didn’t move a single step from his spot – just kept swinging his sword lightly.
There was one decisive difference between game and reality.
Fatigue.
Even if your HP didn’t hit zero, exhaustion would slow you down and eventually you’d stop.
For Rennes, who was moving far beyond her natural abilities, that moment came quickly.
”Hah… hah… hah… Y-you bastard…” she panted.
”Ah – Rennes. Calm down for a second and take a real good look at my stats,” he said.
If his guess was right, the protagonist Rennes should be able to see his status.
”Huh? What – this, I can see… Level… no, that’s a lie…” she gasped.
”You can’t beat me,” he stated flatly.
”Even so, I will avenge Father, Mother, and everyone!” she cried.
Current Rennes barely had any skills – she just charged straight in.
If he hit Rennes’s body, one blow would kill her.
If he killed Rennes here, it would confirm that Akeios had truly invaded Rule Guard.
Given the condition of the bodies, there was no knight who could use magic to kill like that.
This was undoubtedly a misunderstanding – and he couldn’t kill the person he needed to clear it up with.
He deflected her sword and sent her flying into the moat.
Water sprayed up, and Rennes thrashed in the water.
When he confirmed her face had broken the surface again, he felt relief.
She wasn’t set to be unable to swim, but if she’d passed out, that would’ve been bad.
”Y-you bastard…” she sputtered.
”Ah, well then, I’ll be taking my leave,” he said, turning away.
”Wait!” she shouted.
Right now, he had no proof to clear up the misunderstanding.
The only certainty was that the mastermind behind all of this was out there somewhere.
The king, dead just like that.

One hint: The demon realm is where dead humans go, and the demon god originally lives in the demon realm.

Summary:
Rosella and Marqui witness the opening theme of Princess Knight Chronicles appear in the sky above the Royal Capital, signaling the game’s start. Klado arrives at Rulguard Castle to sign a treaty, but a magical assault slaughters the Rulguard royal family and guards, framing the Akeios delegation. Rennes finds her parents dead, spots Klado, and attacks him in a rage, landing a critical blow that brings him down. Meanwhile, the unresolved mystery of who fed the King information about Levaiya’s summoning remains unsolved.
She entered a battlefield where Clad, the Second Prince of Akeios, lay wounded, and Rennes – the game’s protagonist – attacked with event-boosted fury. After deflecting her assault and sending her into the moat, she withdrew, knowing she could not prove her innocence yet. Meanwhile, the king had already died, and the demon realm’s connection to death and rebirth loomed as an unresolved thread.
—
Trivia:
The King died of natural causes, so Rosella’s dark descent event – where she would have killed him herself – never occurred.
Marqui is still under a m**urbation ban imposed by Rosella, despite being engaged to her.
Lavia (the tattoo) appears darker than before, which Marqui interprets as a sign of increased sexual activity.
Rosella’s level is 107; Marqui’s is 121, but she is faster and has higher attack power.
The Holy Sword in Rosella’s possession is considered a serious threat to Marqui.
The Stone-Seat Sword has a special ability to chip away at an opponent’s defense over time.
Lili Lim can travel through the Demon Realm for faster transportation than using wings.
Klado was unaware of the game’s opening event where he serves as the first boss.
The three hundred knights with Klado were more than enough to take Rulguard Castle by military force.
Rennes’s short skirt nearly reveals her underwear when she runs, and she wore boots specifically chosen for mobility.
Rennes’s sword is described as a short sword.
The whisper Rennes heard clearly stated “Chapter One: The Akeios Army’s Invasion.”
Klado was framed through magical light-balls that killed the Rulguard side without injuring any Akeios soldiers.
Beezea is now staying in the detached palace with the First Princess and Third Prince.
The Cat Demon God has been reassigned as Marqui’s counselor and healer.
The protagonist’s body feels lighter than usual, and every attack becomes a critical hit – suggesting a temporary buff or power surge.
The protagonist teleported from the demon realm after a comedic family encounter where Lili Lim’s parents offered to bear his vessel.
Rennes’s event bonus raises her effective stats to Level 50, making her far stronger than her base Level 5 indicates.
The protagonist realizes that fatigue exists in reality even if HP remains full – a critical difference from the game world.
The bracketed placeholder “Your/Her/His Highness” appears multiple times, indicating unresolved honorific rendering in the source itself.
Lili Lim claims the territory of Lust punishes s*x offenders, and she promises to reincarnate the protagonist as a demon god after death.
The king is confirmed dead with no explanation – the protagonist has no proof to clear the misunderstanding.
The demon god originally lives in the demon realm, tying the king’s death to the protagonist’s earlier visit there.
