Chapter 100 Lana’s Change

 We connected again in the shower room, and that day ended with a disbandment. In front of the inn, Isabella was swaying her hips.

 ”Ugh, my hips… I haven’t used my body like this since training days.”

 ”Is that so?”

 ”There aren’t any intense arrests like that in the capital city, after all…”

 Isabella gazed at me intensely. Even that was cute.

 ”…Well, okay. I’ll investigate that matter thoroughly. You won’t neglect your academy life, will you?”

 ”I’ll be careful.”

 Lately, it’s possible that I’ve been too caught up in this case and having fun. Still, I should calm down a bit. There’s not much I can do anymore.

 Then, I parted ways with Isabella in the downtown area and bought some apple pie and yogurt juice at a food stall. After s*x, I always crave something sweet and hydrating.

 The next day, Thursday. The season was gradually shifting towards summer. The morning was warmer than usual, but a bit hot.

 I attended classes at the academy and chatted with Jonathan about nothing in particular… until evening. When I visited the student council room, Lana was working silently. It seemed like no one else was there today.

 ”Hello, Alba. How was your talk with Miss Isabella…?”

 ”She was very kind and moved things forward for me.”

 ”Really…!? Ah, that’s great!”

 Lana let out a sigh of relief. Indeed, there’s a huge difference between the police moving and not moving.

 ”I also talked to Mr. Wollek… yeah, the evidence is gathering faster than I thought. Thanks for everything.”

 ”No need to thank me. He’s also someone who pursues the truth, so he’s happy to cooperate.”

 ”That’s right, a doctor’s cooperation is more valuable than anything. I have doctors in my territory, but none of them are experts in lead poisoning…”

 There’s a gap in medical standards between the capital city and each territory. That’s a harsh reality. But with Wollek’s presence, that gap can be filled.

 As we continued discussing the lead poisoning case, other student council members arrived. I didn’t feel like continuing the conversation there, so it ended there.

 And after school, when the evening sun began to set, Sherry visited the student council room.

 ”Police Inspector Isabella is here. She wants to talk to Alba and Lanlan.”

 Oh, she came directly to the academy. Lana and I exchanged glances and left the student council room, following Sherry to the room where Isabella was waiting. Sherry gave us a suspicious look.

 ”…Is it about the same thing as last time?”

 ”Maybe, or maybe not…”

 I tried to play it cool, but Sherry didn’t seem interested in hearing more.

 ”I’ll leave you three to talk. Don’t worry, I won’t bother you.”

 In the room, Isabella was waiting for us. Despite our complicated relationship yesterday, she looked stunning. Only Lana and I entered the room, and we shook hands with Isabella.

 ”Sorry to bother you when you’re busy.”

 Lana nodded at Isabella’s words.

 ”No, it’s our pleasure! We’d like to discuss the matter of my territory…”

 ”I heard about it from Alba. I’d like to confirm if there are any discrepancies.”

 So, I ended up watching Isabella and Lana’s conversation. But it didn’t seem like there were any particular issues. It was just a formal discussion about the elf incident in the Great Forest being treated as an official case.

 We spent about 2 hours on the confirmation process, and the meeting was adjourned. This incident itself was finally coming to an end, and it was about time I got out of it.

 We saw Isabella off, and Lana and I returned to the student council room. As expected, no one was left. With the sun almost setting on the horizon, we began to prepare to head home.

 ”Will the president be leaving soon too?”

 ”Hmm… maybe in a bit.”

 I tidied up the stuff on the sofa and threw it into my bag. When I looked up, Lana had left the president’s seat and was standing beside me.

 ”…Really, thank you so much. For everything.”

 ”It’s okay.”

 When I said that, Lana hesitantly held out her hand.

 ”It was a bit lacking last time…”

 ”Huh?”

 ”Can’t you see…?”

 Lana raised and lowered her arm. So cute. That’s when I finally understood that she was asking for a hug. I was a bit uncertain about my interpretation, but I gently wrapped my arms around Lana’s body.

 ”Nh…”

 It was a refreshing and slightly sweet scent, characteristic of Lana. Lana also wrapped her arms around my body, holding me tight.

 Ah… I feel so comforted.

 ”Hey, Alba…”

 ”What is it?”

 ”Can you move your head down a bit more?”

 ”That’s okay, but…”

 If I moved my head down from our current position, I’d end up burying my face in Lana’s chest. Well, it’s not like I’d complain about that…

 I don’t know what she’s thinking, but I’m willing to comply with Lana’s requests to the fullest extent. I slowly moved my body, resting my head on Lana’s chest. Even through the robe, I could sense the immense size and softness. I could die happy here.

 ”…Yeah, that’s just right.”

 Lana started stroking my hair with her hand. So soothing, so gentle. I don’t know what’s so good about it, but it seems to be pleasing to Lana.

 It’s like being pampered like a child… and it feels incredibly comfortable. My upper body feels like it’s melting away.
