We finished going down the long staircase and stepped into the second floor.
Waiting for us here were goblins, kobolds, horned rabbits, and slimes.
These are weak monsters that also live in the forest near Grove.
In the first floor, I had been focused on being the tank so that Rumi and Nana could attack without being fooled by appearances.
However, I wanted to join in the fighting a bit from this floor…
”Rob, Rummie. In this floor, you both just take the enemy’s attacks, and let Nana handle the attacking, okay?”
Thanks to my strict mom’s orders, it seemed I couldn’t attack in this floor either.
Sniff.
”I’m going! ‘Wind Bolt’!”
Nana had a high Magic Power for her level, and thanks to my mom’s tough training, she could cast Third Rank magic without chanting.
So, she easily took down the monsters one after another.
”R-Rob… I really want to attack too…”
Rumi said to me with a dissatisfied look.
”I want to too… I’m totally in education mode now…”
We both felt the same way.
While we let Nana handle the attacks and kept moving forward, 2 things started to bother me.
”Nana, why are you only using wind magic?”
I asked.
”I want to fly freely in the sky like Brother Rob! Once I can fly, let’s take a walk in the sky together~♪”
Nana’s words made my heart flutter.
(…What an angel (little sister)!!)
And there was one more thing that caught my attention. It was like Nana had a map of this dungeon, guiding us accurately on the next path.
”Brother, please go right at the next fork.”
”…Nana? I’ve been curious since the first floor, how can you decide the right path without getting lost?”
I couldn’t help but ask.
”It’s my unique ability, ‘Fountain of Knowledge.’ If I want to know the shortest way through this dungeon, I can find out!~♪”
Nana said happily.
(…Isn’t that a bit too overpowered?)
I thought to myself, putting my own issues aside.
We moved through this floor without any problems and quickly found the stairs down to the next floor.

Then, we stepped into the third floor.
This place was where Rumi and I last fought the monsters during the stampede 2 years ago.
The monsters here were Skeleton Knights, Skeleton Archers, and Brain Eaters, all with creepy appearances suited for the night.
For Rumi and me, who had become stronger now, these enemies were no longer a challenge.
Let’s see how much we’ve grown compared to 2 years ago.

Yesterday, I saw Rumi’s status before we left.
Thanks to my ‘Cell Enhancement Itemization,’ her stats have grown to be on par with combat jobs.
And she had 2 new job skills… well, whatever.

”Alright! It’s finally our turn! Let’s take turns protecting Nana and attacking the enemies. I’ll go first!”
”Go for it, Rob! You can do it!”
Rumi cheers with lots of energy.
”Brother Rob, enemies ahead!”
Nana points to the front, where there are 2 Skeleton Knights and one Skeleton Archer.
(I’m feeling confident. Let’s have some fun!)
I wrap my whole body in Magic Power, grip my [Dawn Sword], and run towards the enemy party.
First, the skeleton archer shot an arrow at me, so I deflected it with my sword and quickly closed in on the skeleton knight.
Here, I activated ‘Step Warp’ and moved behind the skeleton knight.
Then, with my right hand, I fired the magic ‘Lightning Shot’ at the skeleton archer in the back, while with my left hand, I split one of the skeleton knights in 2!
The remaining one attacked me with its sword, but I activated ‘Step Warp’ again.
I moved behind the enemy and finished the battle by splitting it into 4!
(Ah~ this is it! Fighting is definitely better than just watching!)
”Good job, Rob! It’s my turn next, I’m excited!”
Rumi said with a big smile.
”Brother Rob, you were so cool!”
Nana said while clapping her hands.
Receiving the kind words from the two, it was now Rumi’s turn.
She seemed to want to fight barehanded and handed me her spear.
”It’s my turn now! I’m so excited!”
Rumi’s eyes sparkled, unable to hide her anticipation for the battle.
”Ms. Rumi, please go left at the next fork!”
Nana gave the instructions.
”Okay, got it, Nana!”
Rumi replied cheerfully, her excitement growing as she moved forward.
I activated Magic Detection.
(…Huh? I thought there would be more enemies, but maybe it’s because Ms. Alice’s party is ahead. Well, since it’s just Dad Izana and Mom Emma missing, I joined from this floor…)
As those thoughts crossed my mind, we found the stairs leading to the next floor without encountering any enemies.
”Wait, wait! I haven’t fought yet~… sniff.”
Rumi looked disappointed and had a bit of tears in her eyes.
”Rumi, the enemies on the next floor are stronger than here, so you should use your spear, okay?”
”Yeah, I’ll do that! I’m looking forward to challenging strong enemies!”
Rumi cheered up.
”If it seems dangerous, I’ll back you up with magic, so do your best!”
”Thanks! Well then, I’ll go down the stairs.”
Rumi replied happily.

And we made it down to the 4th floor.
Since I didn’t know what monsters were here, I decided to ask Dad.
”Dad, what kind of monsters appear on the 4th floor?”
”Oh, what was it… I think it’s Snake Mantis and Dark Wolf!”
”Wow, both sound like fast enemies.”
”Yeah. The really tricky one is the Dark Wolf. It can teleport short distances like Rob did earlier.”
(Wow… seriously?)
”On the 4th floor, Emma and I will protect Nana, so you two, Rob and Rummie, should give it a try.”
Dad said with a smirk.
With Rumi by my side, this looks like it’ll be a really fun fight!
”That’s settled then. Let’s go wild, Rumi! …Oh, leave the Dark Wolf to me. You take care of the other one, Rumi.”
”Okay, got it! I’m excited!”
Rumi nodded, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
”Brother Rob, good luck!”
Nana cheered with a cute smile.
”Rob, make sure to protect Rummie!”
Mom reminded me of the most important thing during battle.
Then, guided by Nana, we moved forward and finally spotted the Dark Wolf and Snake Mantis.
I wrapped lightning around my [Dawn Sword], and Rumi wrapped fire around her [Spear of Eternity].
”Rumi, if it gets too tough, make sure to retreat.”
I insisted.
”Okay! You too, Rob!”
Rumi replied with a smile.
”Right. Let’s go!”
With our hearts united, Rumi and I dashed forward at the same time, getting closer to the enemy.
The enemy charged at us as well.
Just when I thought my swords would reach, the Dark Wolf disappeared from sight.
I activated Magic Detection.
The Dark Wolf seemed to appear behind Rumi.
”Stone Shield!” “Luminous Lance!”
──Bang! ──Boom!
Rumi defended with earth magic, and I pierced the Dark Wolf’s body with light magic!
I rushed toward the Dark Wolf and finished it off.
”I’m going! Blaze Ball! Swift Wind Lightning!”
Rumi unleashed fire magic at the Snake Mantis and then activated Swift Wind Lightning.
──Boom!
The fire magic hit the Snake Mantis directly, stopping its movement,
”Yes!”
──Crash!
Rumi, who had circled behind the enemy, pierced its head with her spear.
(…I don’t sense any enemy magic power nearby. Hmm, it seems this floor might only have this battle.)
As expected, we reached the stairs without encountering any more enemies.
