 Even after the battle with Demon King Rozel Nightshade, the war continued. I kept fighting even after the sky turned dark, but with the arrival of the backup troops, we took a temporary break at Somirkas’ inn.

 While I was sleeping in the inn’s bed, I met again with one of the gods I encountered in the divine realm, Tiseris Eclair Astraea Noel.

 A blue sky and green grass stretched endlessly in front of me.

 There stood Tiseris and me.

 ”Ah, it’s you again. This is my dream, right? …Are we going to train here?”

 ”Yeah, that’s the deal. …Nice to meet you, Rob.”

 Tiseris gave off the impression of a beautifully crafted doll that was too perfect, and it seemed like we were going to train in this space with just grass and blue sky.

 ”Nice to meet you too. …Um, what kind of training will we do?”

 ”Swordsmanship and Special Move. …Which one do you want to start with?”

 Special Move, a term familiar from games, but will she really teach it to me?

 ”*Gulp*… I-I want to start with Special Move, please!”

 I said with enthusiasm.

 ”Mm…”

 Tiseris nodded.

 ”…Huh?”

 I wondered why Tiseris didn’t say anything more.

 ”…Huh?”

 Seeing my confusion, Tiseris tilted her head cutely.

 I didn’t really understand, but her head tilt was very adorable.

 ”…Aren’t you going to try it?”

 ”Try it… what do you mean?”

 *Pop*

 Tiseris smiled and clapped her hands together in a cute way. (apparently called the understanding pose).

 (…I don’t really get it, but she’s adorable, no, she’s a goddess.)

 ”U… I can hear you.”

 Tiseris’s cheeks turned bright red.

 …I don’t know, but maybe it would be nice to just relax together like this instead of worrying about training.

 (So, what I think in my dreams is totally clear to her, huh?)

 ”Yeah… Rob, you’re able to come up with new techniques now.”

 ”Wait… so it’s not Tiseris teaching me, but I’m creating them myself?”

 ”Exactly.”

 Tiseris smiled sweetly at me.

 (…So cute.)

 ”U… Rob, please stop, it’s embarrassing.”

 Tiseris’s face turned completely red.

 …She doesn’t seem used to being called cute.

 ”I thought Vanessa already told you… Rob has gained the power to influence the world by absorbing part of the divine core.”

 ”Influence the world…? What can I do with that power?”

 ”You can create miracles by paying a price.”

 ”Miracles, huh… but wait, what do you mean by price? It would help if you could be more specific.”

 ”Job skills are the miracles… Magic Power and Spirit are the price.”

 (So, that means I can create my own original skills regardless of my job… right?)

 (That’s right.)

 (Oh, you really can hear everything I think.)

 (Hehe.)

 Tiseris’s smile feels so soothing, like it heals my heart.

 (So cute.)

 (Uh…)

 (Oh, I’m sorry. I’ll avoid saying cute from now on.)

 (…It’s okay even if you say it.)

 ”Um, can I hug you?”

 ”U-uh… n-no.”

 Steam is coming from Tiseris’s face.

 …I should try to avoid situations like this as much as possible.

 ”Phew… For now, I understand what I need to do. …And I’ve already decided on the first technique I want to create.”

 ”…What kind of technique?”

 ”It’s a flying slash! And it will be so fast that it can’t be dodged! …I hated how easily the Demon King dodged my attacks yesterday, so if I’m going to create something first, it has to be a super-fast flying slash!”

 ”A flying slash… with me…”

 It’s really nice that a swordsman, who is supposed to be a close-range fighter, can attack from a distance.

 ”Oh, that’s an honor! …Can I see Tiseris’s technique?”

 ”Hmm… If Rob shows me a new technique, then I’ll show you mine.”

 To see Tiseris’s technique, I need to complete my original technique first.

 (Alright, just swinging the sword won’t cut it… It’s about miracles and costs, right? Starting with something simple might be good… Is it possible to increase my status power and speed by consuming Spirit energy?)

 (Yes, it’s possible.)

 (Then, is it also possible to consume magic power?)

 (Yes, it’s possible.)

 (Oh… then I’ve decided on my first technique!)

 (What kind of technique is it?)

 ”By consuming Spirit energy and magic power, I will greatly increase my speed status and unleash a slash with a sword wrapped in holy attribute magic power. Since I’m a beginner at creating techniques, I thought something easy to imagine would be good. The name is ‘Holy Sky Slash’ …What do you think?”

 ”Imagine the technique and the cost… These 2 must be in place for it to activate.”

 ”It’s about the status up, right? To raise Speed by 1, I need to use 1 Spirit or 1 Magic Power, is that correct?”

 ”That’s right, it’s an equivalent exchange.”

 ”Okay, I understand the cost part. Now, I just have to try it out.”

 ”Mm…”

 Tiseris nodded slightly.

 I held my sword… wait, when did I get a sword?

 (Since this is a dream, you can have whatever you want.)

 (I see… huh? If the technique activates here, it might not activate in reality…)

 (It’s fine. Techniques that don’t activate in reality won’t activate here either.)

 (I get it, it’s because of Tiseris’s divine power.)

 (Yeah, do your best!)

 I straightened my back, lightly spread my legs to balance myself.

 My eyes were sharp, focused straight ahead, and I filled my body with concentration.

 I firmly gripped the sword in my right hand, holding it at a natural angle.

 My left shoulder, which wasn’t holding the sword, was slightly forward, while the shoulder with the sword was slightly back, ready to react to the enemy’s movements.

 My arms were relaxed, maintaining a lightness like the wind, while also hinting at a sharp killing intent and overwhelming speed.

 It felt like I could slice through the enemy like a flash in the next moment.

 (Alright, I hope this works. I just need to imagine an overwhelming Speed slash combined with holy attribute Magic Power. And I’ve already decided on the necessary cost. I’ll use 500 Spirit and 500 Magic Power to raise my Speed status by 1000. This technique will nearly double my current Speed value.)

 I focused all my energy and Magic Power, pushing my Speed stat to the limit.

 My muscles felt lighter, and I was surrounded by a sensation as if my body was floating in the air.

 In the next moment, holy attribute Magic Power wrapped around my sword, and a white-blue glow burst from the tip of the blade.

 ”Phew…”

 I took a deep breath and relaxed all the tension in my body.

 In the silence that felt like time had stopped, my concentration sharpened to its peak.

 ”Haa!!”

 With a flash──.

 The sword sliced through the air, and before I could even hear a sound, a blinding slash shot forward.

 The movement was so fast that it vanished in an instant; by the time I swung the sword, the slash had already been released far ahead.

 Whoosh──!

 A sharp sound brushed past my ears, like the wind rushing by.

 The slash flew straight ahead, tracing a pale blue arc in the sky.

 It felt like it cut through space itself, showing no resistance against any obstacles.

 I couldn’t hide my surprise at its Speed and power.

 In just a moment, the slash disappeared from view, cutting through everything in its path.

 This was no ordinary slash; infused with holy power, it was a technique that was truly impossible to dodge.

 ”…Amazing… Did it really work…?”

 I couldn’t help but murmur at the technique I had activated myself.

 I never thought I could send out such a fast and perfect slash.

 ”I did it… This is the ‘Holy Sky Slash’!”

 My heart raced.

 I definitely felt the impact.

 Even after the technique disappeared, tiny holy remnants floated in the air where the slash had been released, as if the air had been torn for just a moment.

 ”…Rob, amazing… You did it well,.”

 Tiseris smiled gently and said.

 I felt a bit of pride in that expression, but I also made up my mind to continue my training even more.
