 I step out of the prison where Alice and the others are, joining the fierce battle between Dad Izana and Mom Emma.

 The enemy is──

 ──”Demon King Regna Claybold.”

 Once a dwarf, he has absorbed the ‘Demon King Core’ into his body and has now become one of the Demon Kings.

 He is short but has a strong, intimidating presence.

 His short hair is dark green, and his beard is sharply trimmed.

 His skin is a dark gray, with a texture like stone.

 I unleashed my sword strikes with all my might, shattering the golem’s body into pieces.

 At that moment, I noticed a girl with beautiful purple twin tails peeking out from a building, looking at us.

 [Ah! Rob, it’s bad! There’s a golem near that girl!]

 I activated ‘Swift Wind Lightning’ and ‘Wind Dash’ to quickly reach the girl and picked her up.

 The Demon King Regna spoke to me.

 ”Did you defeat Rozel? A mere human defeating a Demon King, huh?”

 ”Yeah, that’s right! And I’m going to defeat you too!”

 I quickly stepped back, then lunged forward with a sharp thrust, delivering my fastest strike at close range.

 ”Holy Sky Slash!!”

 ──Slash!!

 Demon King Regna was cut in half without even having time to defend himself.

 The moment I saw the Demon King core pop out, I tried to grab it right away──

 ──Boom!!

 Even though Regna was supposed to be in 2 pieces, he attacked me from both sides.

 I guarded with both arms and managed to hold back the impact, but… the Demon King core fell to the ground with a thud.

 (Damn, all these Demon Kings are way too tough!)

 [‘Thunder Barrier’!! Rob, now’s your chance!]

 ”YEah!”

 While Rumi protected me, I grabbed the Demon King core with my hand wrapped in holy energy and pressed it against the [Dawn Sword] to start the purification.

 Even while purifying the Demon King core wrapped in divine light, I kept taking heavy hits from both sides, but thanks to my barrier magic and Rumi’s ‘Thunder Barrier,’ I managed to block it all. Finally, I was able to purify and absorb the Demon King Regna’s core with the [Dawn Sword].

 ”Phew… that’s the second one. Demon King Regna, defeated.”

 [Good job, Rob! That was a tough battle again~♪]

 ”Yeah… to be honest, we might not have made it without each other.”

 And so, we successfully rescued Alice and Charlotte.
