Chapter 15 Hot Springs and Village Revitalization

”It’s peaceful, isn’t it…”
The female archer walking right in front of us muttered softly.
”If all our jobs were like this, it would be easy.”
The two male fighters, the leader and its other member walking ahead replied.
This time, I’m with Kazumi, Rena, Martina, Jan, Alisa, and Mr. Rudolf on an adventure party of 3 to investigate the hot springs.
The guild master said, “The area around the hot springs has only animals, not monsters, but we can’t be too careful,” so he sent these adventurer members with us.
The leader, Ares, is 16 years old and an adventurer of rank D. He’s a skilled ‘fighter’ in this village.
Walking next to Ares is Garm, a 13-year-old ‘novice fighter’ with rank F.
And just a step behind, right in front of us is Liz, a 15-year-old ‘archer’ with rank E.
”Even though we’re guarding the kids on their hot spring tour, with Ren-Ren, Kazumie, and Hiroya here, I really want to go to the ‘Goblin Forest’.”
”I want to show Marti a good time.”
”…You idiots are still saying that…”
Liz sighed at the conversation of the two fighters ahead.
Yeah, they’re from that noisy party we met during the guild cleanup.
”…But I still can’t believe it. These cute kids defeated ten goblins, including a high goblin, all by themselves…”
”Yeah, they’re definitely stronger than us.”
Ares replied seriously to Liz’s muttering.
”…No, it was just luck… Rena and Kazumi’s magic is amazing, though…”
I definitely defeated it back then. I have to save Alisa. I think my feelings and seeing Martina’s tragic state, combined with Rena’s ‘Physical Boost,’ gave me more power than I expected.
Since then, I’ve been practicing with my master using ‘Physical Boost,’ but I’m still far from that strength.
(Well, I’ll take it easy until I turn 12.)
Even though I think that, now that I’ve experienced that ‘strength’ once, I feel a bit anxious.

We pass through the mountain path, and the greenery starts to disappear, leading us to a rocky slope.

Soon, Mr. Rudolf’s hand in the hot spring starts to glow.
”Papa is using ‘Analysis’ to check it out,”
Rena whispers in my ear.
”Oh… a lot of different components are mixed in. It seems to be flowing from multiple sources…”
Mr. Rudolf mutters.
”It has ingredients for stamina recovery, magical power recovery, and it even helps with minor injuries──oh! It also has ‘anti-aging’ effects for beautiful skin!”
”──!”
Hearing about the beautiful skin effects, Kazumi, Rena, and Liz get excited. Well, they’re all still young anyway.
”Shall we go look for the source? ──Ares and Garm, do you want to come with me since I want to explore further?”
”Sure! Sounds good!”
Ares replies cheerfully.
”Well then… should we enjoy the hot springs while we can?”
As soon as Mr. Rudolf said that, the two fighters looked like they just realized something.
”Um… we… that is…”
Ares said nervously.
”After the source investigation. Of course, we prioritize the women and children.”
Mr. Rudolf grinned. He was being considerate so we could enter calmly.
Mr. Rudolf led the two reluctant fighters up the gentle rocky hill.
”Alright, let the women go in first. We’ll keep watch here.”

I took Jan’s hand and led him to a rock shadow a little away from the hot springs.

Kazumi’s scary voice came from behind us.

Jan replied.
”Right, Hiroya?”

”…Actually, so am I…”
We whispered our true feelings to each other.

”Brother Hiroya! Let’s go in together!”
At Martina’s voice, Jan and I peeked out from behind the rock…
”Martina! The towel, the towel!”
Naked Martina was running towards us. Rena was chasing her, wrapped in a towel and holding Martina’s towel.

”Jan!”
Jan collapsed. He was losing consciousness with a nosebleed… well, it is a bit much for an 8-year-old.

As I watched over Jan, n*ked Martina bumped into me. Just when I thought I was wrapped in a soft feeling, Liz appeared out of nowhere and started trying to undress me along with Martina.
”Come on! Let’s go in together!”
Liz smiles mischievously. Rena behind her looks exasperated.
In the end, I was forcibly stripped naked and carried to the hot springs by the two of them.
”Hey! I told you not to peek!”

I was carried by Martina and immersed in the hot spring.

Kazumi comes closer and covers my eyes, sounding surprised.

I hear the sound of Liz standing up in the water.
”I’m going to stay in a bit longer… Martina, thanks. Can you let go now?”
”Okay… but don’t get too hot, okay?”
After the splashing sounds of the hot spring continue, suddenly a small hand tightly grabs my junior.
”Ugh!”
”…so naughty…”
It was Kazumi. She whispers teasingly in my ear as she gets out.
”You can’t come out until you calm down…”
Finally able to open my eyes, I look down at my junior through the water.
”By the way… I wonder if Jan is okay…”

By the time Mr. Rudolf came back, Jan had somehow regained consciousness, and the 4 of us went into the hot spring together.
On the way back, the two pervy fighters and Jan kept asking me questions, but I just ignored them because Kazumi, who was holding my hand, was giving me a scary look.
When we returned to the village, I separated from the adventurer party and came to my house with Jan and Alisa.
”I see. So the hot spring in the mountains has those effects.”
My dad nodded deeply while listening to Mr. Rudolf’s story.
”Yes. With more adventurers around now, I think we should definitely make use of this hot spring.”

Dad made a serious face.

”Then… could you consider inviting the army from the royal capital after the hot spring is built?”

”Yes. I heard that the troops stationed in the fortress city of Mundo rotate. So, I was wondering if the village could be used as a training ground for the rotating troops.”
”So, the troops heading from the royal capital to Mundo would train here for a while before going to Mundo, right?”
”That’s right. And the troops returning from Mundo would also take a break here. In both cases, the effective ‘hot spring’ would be a great way to relax.”

Kazumi looks down with a red face.
Koichi (my brother) stares at Kazumi with a dazed expression.
