 Today is the ‘It’s Okay to Laugh’ summer special episode.

 As the chosen guest, I wait backstage for my moment to come.

 ”Now, let’s welcome our guest today!”

 At Morita-san’s cue, I step onto the stage.

 ”Gya~!”

 ”Kohina Yukari!”

 ”Wow~!”

 Feeling annoyed, I stride confidently to the front of the audience.

 ”Hey! You all should know who the guest is by now! Why are you reacting like that when you already know?! This is ridiculous!!”

 ”Kohina-san, please don’t pick fights with the audience!”

 I hear laughter from the audience at Morita-san’s words.

 Seriously! Can you stop pretending to scream just because I showed up?!

 ”Uwehehe, still the same as always~. Oh, normally we would introduce the flowers here, but there are none today.”

 ”Huh!?”

 My surprised voice makes the audience burst into laughter.

 At first, I thought it was a joke from Morita-san, but there really are no flowers at all!

 What!? Surely someone from the Beyond Production group sent flowers!

 I look around the empty spot where the flowers should be.

 Well, I get that some people from Beyond Production might forget, but Ayana-chan, and surprisingly responsible Useless Aqua, and even the reliable Kaede should have sent something!

 Wait…? Or was it all just a dream, and the real me is still stuck in Bocchi the World!?

 ”Um, actually, we couldn’t fit all the flowers, so we arranged them in the hallway!”

 ”Ughhhhhhhhhhh!”

 Feeling defeated, I slumped down right there.

 I thought I had been tricked by Morita-san, who had a mischievous look on her face.

 ”And here’s a message from Sayamu Inko-san, our last guest. Dear Yukari, I heard you moved to Shirogane Kingdom. Are you not bothering the people around you? Are you annoying Aqua-sama and making him mad, or coming up with silly schemes with Kaede, and making Ayana-chan uncomfortable when she sees it? Is President Atori sighing because of you, or are Kanon-san and Manager Kotono worried about you? Whatever you do, don’t get carried away and start cooking or helping with chores. Seriously, people could die. Also, please don’t go overboard enjoying group life just because you were alone before. I plan to move there someday too, so wait for me!!”

 ”Are you my mom or something?! And it’s too long!!”

 What is this?!

 I get the cooking part, but even I wouldn’t cause anyone to die just by helping with chores!!

 The other day, when I was cleaning the bath, there was something called hydrogen sulfide? and Aqua freaked out, but that’s about it!!

 ”You guys are still close, huh? Do you hang out often?”

 ”Since Inko is stuck in Tokyo because of that awful game, we meet about once a month, I guess?”

 I was surprised to see she was still playing when I watched the stream the other day.

 It’s been almost half a year, so it’s about time she should have cleared that game, but how long does that person plan to keep playing it?

 Inko isn’t that bad at games. No, actually, she’s pretty good, so it’s ridiculous that she still can’t clear it. If it were me, I’d be throwing the demo disc at the developers for fun.

 ”Are you just eating or something?”

 ”That’s the only thing we can do. What’s fun about playing with them?”

 Usually, we gather at an izakaya or a yakitori place and just chat about work or personal stuff.

 We started this to help Inko relieve her stress since she’s been stuck at home.

 ”No, no, like bowling or something…”

 ”If we go bowling, the bowling alley will break because of Kaede!”

 We can hear loud laughter from the audience.

 ”Oh… but the other day, we went karaoke with 5 people. Even Kaede, who’s usually a mess, didn’t break the mic this time.”

 ”Really? What does Kohina Yukari-san sing? I can’t really imagine it…”

 ”Me? I sing songs by eau de Cologne. The other day, I sang with Maron and Iria.”

 ”Which part did you sing?”

 ”Of course, I sang Ayana-chan’s part!”

 ”””””What?!”””””

 I stand up and walk right up to the audience to complain.

 Why do I have to get a “What?!” just for singing Ayana-chan’s part?!

 ”I can sing Ayana-chan’s songs too, you know!!”

 ”Calm down!”

 After being scolded by Morita-san, I glare at the audience while heading back to my seat.

 ”Don’t you sing Aqua-kun’s songs?”

 ”Why do I have to sing that guy’s song!”

 Well, I do sing it sometimes, but I would never say that here.

 If I did, Aqua would probably smirk and ask me what I was singing later.

 ”By the way, I saw a message from Sayamu Inko-san earlier, and I heard you moved to Shirogane Kingdom? How’s that going?”

 ”Hmm. I was already sharing a house with Akocchi and Ayana-chan before moving, so it doesn’t feel that different to me. I think Hakuryuu-sensei, who has been living alone for writing, seems more nervous than I am. More like anxious?”

 Laughter comes from the audience.

 Hakuryuu-sensei is surprisingly shy; before I know it, she’s in the corner.

 The corner is my usual spot as a loner, so Hakuryuu-sensei should sit more boldly in the middle like a queen.

 ”Thank you. I’ll make sure to tell her.”

 Morita-san and I bow to each other.

 ”That aside, I think everyone is curious about Aqua-kun and Hakuryuu-sensei’s marriage. I mean, they haven’t even announced their engagement, right? Kohina-san, do you know anything?”

 ”They were busy with magazine interviews and TV station coverage until recently, so maybe they’ll announce it soon? I heard they’re definitely having a wedding. Are you coming, Morita-san?”

 At my invitation, Morita-san always gives a nervous laugh.

 ”Wait, is it really okay for a third party to invite someone like that!?”

 ”Isn’t it fine? Besides, Kaede is pregnant, so Morita-san can host instead, right?”

 Yeah, I think that’s a nice idea.

 I could ask Announcer Onidzuka, but considering Kaede’s pregnancy, having her do it all the time would just add more stress.

 ”Isn’t it too free to leave the main 2 out like this?”

 ”Then I’ll tell them for you. Since the wedding will be broadcast on Fuji TV anyway, it works out perfectly.”

 The audience gets really excited when they hear about the Fuji TV broadcast.

 Huh? Did I not mention the TV broadcast yet?

 ”Is it okay to spill that?”

 ”There’s no need to be secretive about the broadcast announcement. They should just announce it already.”

 I get that they can’t announce it because of sponsor issues or personal reasons, but they said that’s not the case.

 After that, my light chat with Morita-san continues.

 Hmm, maybe I’m talking a bit too long, but oh well, I can’t stop now.

 That’s not something I should worry about anyway.

 ”Wahaha, it’s still the same. I can just picture Aqua-kun’s struggles.”

 I almost said “breasts” but stopped myself.

 Why is Morita-san so interested in this!?

 That’s my theory.

 ”If that person takes Akocchi hostage or if Ayana-chan’s life is at stake, then maybe there’s a chance. I can’t just abandon those 2 either.”

 ”Is that level!?”

 I mean, that guy never says things like that to me.

 So this argument is pointless.

 ”No, no, why do I have to take Ako-san hostage or force Kohina-senpai to marry me by risking Ayana’s life? I would never do that!!”

 Aqua suddenly jumps out from backstage, and the audience screams in surprise.

 Ugh, so loud, so loud.

 ”Hey! It’s not over yet!!”

 ”No, no, no, it’s too long! You said we each get ten minutes!”

 I think I remember something like that, but if that’s the case, just use the cue cards!

 Why do I have to manage the time too!!

 ”Well, well, well.”

 Kaede steps in between Aqua and me as she comes out from backstage.

 Hey! Your turn isn’t up yet!!

 ”Huh? Is this going to be like Morikawa Kaede’s room? Are you going to take over my long-running show too?”

 ”I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.”

 Ayana-chan comes out from the back and bows her head to Morita-san.

 Following Ayana-chan, Maron and Fran-chan also come out from backstage.

 Then Emily-chan, Iria, Toa-chan, Tenga-kun, and Mayuzumi-kun all start coming out one after another.

 ”Hey, what are you trying to do, tape my mouth shut?!”

 ”Come on, Kohina-senpai doesn’t need to talk today!”

 Aqua covers my mouth with tape.

 Seriously, just because I’m the one they’re dealing with doesn’t mean it has to be so rough!!

 ”Fugahfu (a little), fugafugafugah (make it neat)!!”

 ”Ugh, this person is so loud even with duct tape on!!”

 Sorry for being so noisy!!

 The audience is laughing hard at the silly fight between me and Aqua, like kids.

 ”Hey, hey! You two over there, remember your real jobs!! You’re an idol and an actress, not comedians!! You’re already famous, so stop trying to make a mark like a rookie!!”

 Thanks to Morita-san’s intervention, we stop our wrestling match.

 I peel off the duct tape and look at Hakuryuu-sensei, who just walked in from the back.

 ”Right. Since we’re here, why not announce your engagement now?”

 ””Huh!?””

 Seeing Aqua and Hakuryuu-sensei’s surprised faces, Morita-san claps the table in excitement.

 ”Wow, you really are free-spirited. But it’s a good idea, right? Let’s just announce the wedding here!”

 Yeah, yeah. They’re both busy, so it’s a great opportunity. Nice assist from me, if I say so myself.

 The audience and other performers give warm applause to the two of them.

 ”Now, let’s take a commercial break. Stay tuned!”

 And so, suddenly, during the ‘It’s Okay to Laugh’ summer special, the engagement announcement for the two began.
