Volume 2 Chapter 8 Resulting In Cuddling

The softness against my arm feels nice. It’s soothing. I want to enjoy that soft feeling more, so I pull her closer, and a sleepy, cute voice from my favorite person slips into my drowsy mind.
(Dream…?)
If it’s a dream, I want to touch more. I cover the fluffy, big shape against my body with my hand.
”Umm…”
Could it be… not a dream? Risa-san’s voice, clear and distinct, reaches my ears, waking me up. I cautiously look at Risa-san. She’s frowning, but her eyes are still closed.
(Thank goodness… she hasn’t noticed)
Even though I was half-asleep, while Risa-san was sleeping, I lightly touched her big chest that was showing from the loose collar of her baggy hoodie.
If she finds out I did this without her consent, I could end up being kicked out of this house.
”Better not get caught,” I think, so I try to quietly slip out of bed while Risa-san is still asleep, carefully removing my arms that were hugging her.
”…Mmm…”
Instead of moving away, she snuggles closer to me. Risa-san’s cheek and her soft chest press against me.

I can’t move. I guess I have to wait until Risa-san wakes up. I gave up on moving from Risa-san’s room to mine. Instead, I have to come up with a good excuse.
If I can stay like this until the alarm goes off and Risa-san wakes up, I can hug her a little longer and maybe even fall back asleep. So, I wrap my arms around Risa-san’s back again and close my eyes.
”–W-why are you here!?”
With a panicked voice, Risa-san pushes my arms away, and our bodies separate.
”Good morning, Risa-san.”
”…Good morning. But why is Shuu cuddling with me!?”
As she greets me, she opens her eyes a little and looks down at me.
”Last night, I heard a man’s voice from your room, so I thought there was an intruder…”
”Wait! You heard that!?”
”Yeah. That person was in the anime that started this month…”
”Oh, oh no…!”
She buries her face in the pillow. Risa-san is really energetic in the morning. And her reaction is too funny.
I can hear her saying through the pillow, “Ugh… it wasn’t a dream!”
”You heard that… Shuu! And we were cuddling!”
She presses her face deeper into the pillow, mumbling to herself. Did she really not want to sleep next to me? I was feeling happy, but now I’m feeling down.
”I thought it was wrong to sleep here, so I was going to go back to my room…”
”Don’t say that! I know! I was the one who stopped you!”
”…So you remember that part.”
When I try to make an excuse, I get an unexpected response. For a moment, I panic, thinking she might have figured out what I did before. But looking at Risa-san’s reactions, it seems like I’m in the clear for now, so I feel a bit relieved.
