Volume 2 Chapter 24 Risa’s Consultation
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
I had fallen asleep exhausted in the early morning, and when I woke up, it was past noon. Risa-san, with red bruises scattered across her chest, was still asleep naked next to me.
(This… even the gentle Risa-san might get angry)
I got out of bed and picked up the pieces of roomwear that had been scattered on the floor, one by one, and headed for the bathroom.
(But it’s also Risa-san’s fault)
For the first time, Risa-san had seduced me erotically, and I had gotten excited. Neither of us had eaten dinner the day before. We had been doing it and hugging each other for hours. But the cause wasn’t just my fault.
”…Nn… you stupid… Shuu.”
After taking a refreshing shower, I quietly opened the door to the bedroom to check on Risa-san, and she insulted me in her sleep.
(That’s not good. I have to feed her right away when she wakes up)
I entered the kitchen on the first floor and started cooking to appease Risa-san.
”It smells good…”
Risa-san peeked her head into the living room from the stairs that connected the first and second floors.
”Salmon and mushroom vegetable butter soy sauce foil bake. It’s just out of the oven, but do you want to eat it?”
”…I’ll eat.”
Risa-san nodded and sat shyly at the kitchen counter. I took out two plates from the storage under the sink, where Risa-san’s hobby items used to be, and placed them on the counter.
I put the freshly baked foil bake on the plates, poured consommé soup with tofu and cabbage into a mug, and placed it on the counter as well.
”This is also delicious? It’s this year’s new potatoes.”
I opened another foil and, using a fork, I pierced the crispy, butter-fried potatoes with a fork and offered it to Risa-san’s mouth. She opened her mouth obediently and ate it with a crunchy sound.
”Uhh… I was going to complain, but… I can’t say anything now.”
She covered her face with both hands and looked down, and her hair, slightly wet with water at the tips, fell over her cheeks. The fact that she was not angry but lamenting meant that she had forgiven me for hugging her until she was exhausted.
”It’s true that delicious food calms people’s anger.” I had once heard someone say this, and when I tried it, it was effective with Risa-san.
Finally, I served the white rice cooked in a pot into bowls and, smiling, placed them on the counter, saying, “Let’s eat it before it gets cold.”
”Hey, I have something I want to consult with you about… is it okay?”
”Sure. What is it?”
After finishing the breakfast-lunch, I set the dishes we had finished in the dishwasher. As I put the leftover food into the refrigerator, I answered her.
”From next month… I was thinking of canceling the regular contract and reducing the number of times I ask the housekeeper.”
”Okay, I understand. So next week is the last day of the regular contract?”
”No, next week… I refused because I’m going to the exhibition hall with Yuki.”
To that huge venue? Was there something happening at this awkward time in mid-November? However, since Yuki-san was also with her… I somehow realized that there was an event related to her hobby.
”That’s right. I was there, so you didn’t have to cancel the housekeeper.”
”No way! Shuu is… not a contractor. Besides, if you get too close, Banzushima-san will also find it difficult to work, right?”
…Huh? Risa-san is saying something strange. Have I started hearing hallucinations because of the all-night s*x?
”Umm, who is getting along with whom?”
”Shuu and… Banzushima-san…”
”Not Risa-san, but me?”
How did such a misunderstanding happen? However, the next thing Risa-san said made me understand the cause.
”Yesterday… what you said about the ‘drunk customer’… was it about Banzushima-san?” “I might have to come home late tonight because I’m going to consult with you,”… I got a message from Banzushima-san in the evening yesterday.”
That woman had sent such a message to Risa-san. She was thorough. I had no intention of making her sad, but because I didn’t tell her specifically who I was meeting, Risa-san was about to cry.
”Ah, yeah. The drunk customer was indeed Banzushima-san. She came to the store, drank seven cocktails with high alcohol content, like martinis, and complained about her work.”
If I hide it poorly, I’ll lose Risa-san’s trust, so I talked about what happened and the main points of our conversation honestly and simply.
”Seven cocktails with high alcohol content!?”
Well, the first 2 drinks seemed light…? But I decided not to correct it.
”Yeah, it seemed like she had a lot built up inside. But it looks like her worries disappeared, and she said she won’t come to the bar anymore, so I don’t think Risa-san will get any messages from her app.”
I made her to delete Risa-san’s contact, so in about a week, she should believe that what I said is “true.”
”I see… So Banzushima-san’s worries are solved.”
The sadness disappeared from Risa-san’s face. I hesitated about whether to bring this up now, but it seemed like the right moment. I decided to share what I had secretly looked into for Risa-san.
”Risa-san, about the housekeeper, how about changing the service? The current one is pretty expensive, and it seems like we could find a much cheaper option.”
”Really? Did you find someone?”
”I found a couple of options. Both are services that people living here use. That way, we can keep the same schedule of twice a month… and with the money we save, I thought we could get some plants for the house. I think having a few more plants would make this place more comfortable.”
”Yeah, let’s do that! Thank you!”
Her decision was too quick. For the service, this is basically a “good target.” I started to worry if Risa-san would really be okay. Would she be able to live safely without being tricked by bad people?
