Volume 3 Chapter 11 Anomaly
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
As December started, I noticed that Risa-san’s clothes in the closet in the upstairs bedroom were a bit fewer. It seems like she started cleaning up her room little by little since she can’t do it all at once before the end of the year.
Recently, it looks like she’s been using moisturizer, and maybe she’s planning to buy some new clothes too?
Another change is that Risa-san has been inviting me out at night more often, instead of me asking her. Because of that, my mental health, which usually gets really bad during this time of year, has been pretty stable.
Whenever Risa-san invites me, I never say no and always go along with it.
Thanks to that, I’ve gotten used to her way of inviting me for s*x, which I never expected when we first started living together.
I wonder if Risa-san feels lonely in this chilly season?
As the temperature drops, it feels like we’re getting more and more into each other, sharing our bodies and enjoying each other’s warmth. It’s become a really intense time together.
Being with someone you love isn’t just about pleasure; it makes you feel like, “This is where I belong,” or “We can be closer to each other than anyone else.” It gives you sweet fantasies.
I never thought that such feelings could bring me so much peace of mind, even though they’re not really solid or certain.
”Business trip?”
”Yeah. It’ll be a bit long.”
”How long?”
”Hmm, it depends on the situation over there… maybe?”
With Christmas coming up, I was just thinking about what to get Risa-san as a gift that she would like, even if it’s cheap.
One rainy morning, I found the biggest suitcase Risa-san has, packed full of clothes, in the corner of the walk-in shoe closet.
I rarely go into that area since I don’t need to set up an umbrella stand at the entrance unless it’s raining, so I hadn’t noticed it before.
”I’ve never heard of a business trip without a deadline.”
”Hmm, even if you say that…”
When I said that, she looked troubled. It felt like she suddenly got told she had to go on a solo assignment. She said she entered a conference that’s happening at the end of March, so she’ll definitely be back by then.
”When does it start? Where will you stay?”
”Ugh, that too…”
”Depends on them?”
”Yeah.”
Am I really going to be left alone in this house for over a week? I’m not sure if it’s normal for Risa-san’s job to have domestic business trips, but with this amount of luggage, it’s clear she won’t be here for at least a week.
(If she’s not leaving today, that’s okay.)
It’s surprising, but I’m sure Risa-san will tell me when her trip is getting close. Maybe she just got busy and forgot to tell me about the sudden trip.
”Well, let me know when the dates and place are set.”
I couldn’t shake off Risa-san’s vague attitude. But I also didn’t want to keep asking about a business trip that has no details yet. I changed into my school uniform and left the room.
