After that, Martina gave me a special kind of service and… I got excited again, so Martina got on top of me for round 2. After that, she finally used a ‘Clean’ magic on me and helped me put on my pants and underwear since I couldn’t move.
Now, she’s sitting next to me on the bed, explaining about the ‘Dungeon Core.’
”I don’t really know who made it or why. But it seems like there are a lot of them scattered all over the world, and most of them are just sleeping. New dungeons appear when a sleeping ‘Dungeon Core’ absorbs the magical energy and miasma around it and wakes up naturally.”
”I see. So what’s the ‘basic design’?”
I tried to think hard and turned to Martina to ask.
”You don’t have to force yourself to move. Mwah~♡.”
She gave me a light kiss on the lips and smiled at me.
”The ‘basic design’ is like a set of rules that all ‘Dungeon Cores’ share.”
Martina answered while stroking my cheek.
”For example, like I said earlier, ‘there’s a safety zone on each floor’ or ‘once a dungeon is built, its structure can’t be changed until the dungeon master is defeated’…”
”Hmm. So what happens if we defeat the dungeon master and conquer the dungeon?”
”At that point, depending on how much magic taint and miasma level is left in the ‘Dungeon Core,’ the dungeon will be restructured a few days later. Of course, it will be easier than before.”
Martina really is impressive, being a top student at the royal training center.
”After conquering a naturally occurring dungeon, some places use that ‘Dungeon Core’ to restructure the dungeon and then the country or city runs it to attract adventurers. Martina stood up to protect me.

Leading the way was Liz, followed by Kazumi, Rena, Dorothy, Aluda, Eluda, Meluda… and the 3 Snow Wolves…

Liz looked at me with tears in her eyes.

Kazumi jumped on me, blocking my view. I felt like Liz was wearing something really strange…

Kazumi wiped her tears and rubbed my arms.

”Geez! Hiroya really can’t do anything without Rena, huh…”
Rena rushed over and used ‘Healing’ on me.
”That said, my magical power is pretty low now… so don’t expect too much…”
Rena looked a bit tired for sure.
”Everyone… I made you all go through a lot… I’m sorry…”
I looked at everyone… and suddenly, I felt blood rushing to my lower body.

Then Eluda looked at me in disbelief, and Meluda was pushing me.

My body still hurt and I couldn’t move, so it was embarrassing, but even if there was a hole, I couldn’t get in…
But even while joking and laughing, I could see tears in everyone’s eyes. I’m really sorry.

”I see, you all met the succubus named doll.”

Rena and Aluda looked at each other and laughed.
”Could it be that arrogant greater demon?”

I made eye contact with Martina.
”I see. So that was the floor boss…”
Saying that, Martina took out a chunk of miasma from her pouch. Oh, she actually collected it.
It’s about the size of a softball. Bigger than the one from the hellhound.
”Wow! I wonder how much this is worth!”
”The guild master will be shocked again.”
Liz and Kazumi laughed. So, we really made it to the third level.

”Anyway… should we head back? I don’t think we can go any further with our energy and gear.”
Kazumi stood up from the bed and clapped her hands.
”Yeah. Rena, my magical power is almost gone…”
”This is a safety zone, right? It’s a good place to set up a teleportation circle. Here, take this.”
Liz handed the scroll Rena gave her to Kazumi.
”Okay. I’ll spread it out!”
As soon as Kazumi opened the scroll, a teleportation circle appeared and started shining all over the floor.
We were all wrapped in that light.

When I opened my eyes, I was lying at the entrance of the dungeon. Wow, this is convenient.
”So, we can start from that safety zone next time.”
Rena’s healing made my body feel a bit better, so I managed to get up.
”Hiroya! Come here for a second!”
Kazumi called me from a little distance. When I rushed over, I saw the Snow Wolves lying down, breathing heavily.
”Are you okay?”
I gently petted one of their bellies. Dorothy and Kazumi were also petting the other 2 on their heads and backs.
”When they saved us from the orc group… they must have gotten hurt…”
Liz looked worried as she peered in.
”They don’t seem to be hurt.”
From what I could see, there were no signs of injury.
”…Maybe they were affected by the dungeon’s miasma…”
Rena murmured.
”That could be it. They’re still young, and unlike natural miasma, the concentration in the dungeon is much higher.”
Dorothy continued to pet them, looking worried.
”What will happen to them?”
Kazumi asked Rena.
”Normally, if wild animals get hit by a strong miasma… they turn into monsters…”

Liz snapped back at Rena’s answer.
”These guys… they saved my life…”
”Usually, yeah, but this situation feels different. I think they might get more aggressive.”
”We need to take them back quickly! Let’s get Mister Rudolf to check them out…”
”The problem is what happens after that. The clinic can’t take care of them, and of course, they can’t stay at an inn.”
Rena spoke to calm down the panicking Liz.
”Our house isn’t even finished yet… bringing them back to the village openly is also…”
Kazumi crossed her arms and tilted her head.
”I’ll take care of them. Luckily, my room at home isn’t being used at all, so I can hide them there.”
Kazumi chuckled at my enthusiastic words.
”…You really sound like a kid. It’s like hiding a dog you picked up without telling your parents.”
”That’s settled! I’m counting on you, Hiroya! Let’s hurry back!”
Saying that, Liz jumped onto the shadow, who had been waiting patiently.
