”Okay! Let’s go!”
”Big Brother Hiroya! I’m coming!”
In the morning mist, Aluda and Martina lead the caravan of the Zett Merchant Guild’s carriage.
”Hey, we’re coming too!”
Gorge looks a bit tired, so Asuka and the others follow behind them.
”Those guys look really lively.”
”Marti must be feeling good too because of… you know… Mr. Hiroya.”
Liz and Dorothy, who seem to have had a bit too much to drink last night, are trailing behind the carriage.
”Well, Asuka probably got it from Gorge…”
I hop on Haya and ride alongside Liz and Dorothy.
”Yeah. Asuka was really into it while we were talking last night.”
”So, what were you girls talking about?”
”Hehe♡”
Even if Liz acts cute, she’s still adorable.
”But why is Ms. Aluda so lively? She looked pretty down last night.”
”Well… about last night…”
I told Liz and Dorothy about what happened with Martina. I don’t keep secrets from my girl.
”Wow!”
”Really? Aluda is bold!♡”
”She wanted to see if she felt jealous or envious by peeking at me and Martina, to figure out her true feelings.”
”So, she felt envious, huh?”
Liz nodded, saying she understood.
”Mr. Hiroya, you responded to such a heartfelt confession, right?”
”I did take it in.”
I muttered, thinking about how she looked at me with those eyes, while glancing at the happy Aluda ahead.
”But… you didn’t hold her. Why not?”
”I thought I should tell Kazumi and everyone first. I’m not the most honest guy, so I wanted to at least do that right.”
”That’s very mature of you, Mr. Hiroya. I love that about you!♡”
”Hiroya!♡”
Liz leaned out from Kage and spread her arms towards me. Oh, be careful!
”We don’t think you’re dishonest at all.”
”Yeah. I think it’s more about how you’ve been honest with us.”
They both smiled gently.
”Thanks. You two are really great, Liz and Dorothy.”
”♡”

”It’s almost lunchtime. Should we take a break once we enter the forest?”
Ms. Sasha shouted from the front of the carriage.
”Let’s take a break as soon as we enter the forest!”
Liz shouted back. Ms. Sasha responded by making a big circle with her hands.
As soon as we entered the forest, the whole caravan stopped for lunch.
We got soup from a pot over the campfire and took bites of bread. It was soft and really tasty, unlike the usual portable bread.
”Hiro, ahh♡”
”Hey, Aluda, don’t be so greedy. Hiroya is going to eat my bread, okay?”
”Big Brother Hiroya is going to eat mine!”
”Everyone, tonight is my turn… I have the right to be lovey-dovey with Mr. Hiroya!♡”
”You all get along so well.”
Ms. Sasha joined our circle with some tea.
”Hiroya is everyone’s boyfriend.”
”Wow!”
When Liz clung to me, Ms. Sasha looked surprised and covered her mouth.
”Hey! Liz!”
”There’s nothing to hide, right?”
”Exactly. We’re proud to be Mr. Hiroya’s girls.”
”Yeah! I want to brag about it to everyone!”
”Aluda will too… eventually…”
Everyone is being way too open.
”Mr. Hiroya, are you really the leader of a harem at your age?”
Wow, that was a direct hit! Ms. Sasha threw a fastball right at me! And it’s a strike!
”Um, well, I…”
”Oh, you don’t have to be shy. My dad had multiple wives too. My mom is the third wife.”
…So, she understands, huh?
”I had 2 half-brothers above me, but they are both independent merchants, so I decided to take over the merchant guild.”
She looks at me with a smile.
”I’m pretty jealous, so I don’t accept other girls, but… listening to Liz and the others is really interesting.”
Before I knew it, Asuka was standing behind us, linking arms with Gorge.
”Yeah… I guess it would be okay to have fun with Gorge and Liz together.”
”No way! My body belongs to Hiroya! I won’t show it to anyone or let anyone touch it.”

”Me too. I don’t have the guts or the ability to steal my master’s important sisters!”
Feeling my killing intent, Gorge almost kneels down in front of me.
”I mean, honestly… I can barely handle just Asuka…”
…Yeah. Gorge looks a bit worn out…
”Oh, I have a great product. It’s a powerful energy booster called Elf’s Secret Medicine. How about it?”
”I’m interested. Can you show it to me?”
Asuka answers immediately with a serious face.
”Sure. This way, please.”
Ms. Sasha takes Asuka to the product carriage. …Gorge gets dragged along by Asuka.
”By the way, I’ve heard of it. They say that even that bland elf guy can go ten times in one night with that secret medicine…”
Dorothy also follows Ms. Sasha, looking a bit dazed.
”Dorothy! Buy some for me! I’ll pay for it!”
”…Still, for Gorge, who called himself ‘Seeker of Love’ to get drained like that, how much of a s*x drive does Asuka have…?”
I can’t help but put my hands together towards Gorge. Don’t die, Gorge…
”Well, last night must have been especially intense.”

When I glare at her, Liz turns red and looks away.
”I just… got carried away, okay?”
”…”
”Don’t be so mad, Hiroya♡”
She hugs my head to her chest and squeezes me tight.
”…Liz, you little perv.”
”No way♡”

After finishing lunch, the caravan sets off again. Asuka, sitting behind Gorge, is smiling because she bought the ‘Elf’s Secret Medicine.’ I wonder if Dorothy will make me drink it too.
”Up ahead, about 200 meters away, there’s a group of monsters. Looks like a lot!”
Martina, leading the way, turns around.
”A group, huh? It’s probably goblins… We should be able to charge through with the horses and carriage. What do you think, Liz?”
For now, the caravan slows down.
”Let’s focus our long-range firepower in front. Even if we don’t hit, we’ll shoot arrows to keep them at bay. Martina! Dorothy! Aluda! Run in front of the carriage with me! When we see the enemy, we’ll shoot all at once!”
”Got it. I’ll stick with Gorge and Asuka at the back of the carriage.”
”Thanks. Let’s speed up!”
Following Liz’s orders, the caravan picks up speed.
”I see them! Goblins… 12 of them. And maybe 2 Hobgoblins?”
”Don’t slow down! We’re charging through! We’ll shoot all at once on my signal!”
With Martina’s report, Liz gives orders to the caravan.
I position myself next to the carriage line and ready my Black Bow.
”Get ready…”
Liz nocks 2 arrows on her composite bow. Martina also readies 2 Black Bows. Dorothy has a longbow, and Aluda has a Black Bow ready.
”Okay! Fire!”
The arrows fly towards the group of goblins ahead.
”Charging through! Be careful of attacks as we pass!”
I took down about half of the Goblins, and the caravan, led by Liz and Dorothy, rushed through the disorganized group of Goblins. Martina was on the left, Aluda on the right, and I was at the back with Gorge and Asuka. Some Goblins were getting crushed by the carriage.
I quickly counted how many were left.
(4 Goblins, 2 Hobgoblins…)
”Liz! Keep going! I’ll take care of the rest!”
”I’m coming too!”
Asuka and Gorge followed along.
”Be careful! I’ll wait up ahead!”
Hearing Liz’s voice, I pulled on Haya’s reins to turn back.
”It’s Gorge and the others’ job, right? I’ll forward scout!”
”Thanks a lot, master!”
I got closer to the Goblins and jumped off Haya.
”Physical Boost!”
I leaped straight at the Hobgoblin and drew my sword.
With ‘Yamikirimaru’, I slashed down at the Hobgoblin’s club.
My strike hit the top half of its head, slicing it open and splattering blood and brain matter everywhere.
”Take that!”
Asuka jumped down from behind Gorge and took out another Hobgoblin. Nice job!
”I can’t believe I’m teaming up with Asuka.”
I sheathed ‘Yamikirimaru’ and looked back.
”I feel really safe with you watching my back too.”
Asuka was ready with her sword behind me. The remaining 4 Goblins all jumped at us at once.
”Ha!”
”Take that!”
I turned my back to the jumping Goblins for a moment and spun around to draw my sword.
With a sideways slash from ‘Yamikirimaru’, I cut down 2 Goblins at the same time.
Asuka also used her speed to take down 2 more Goblins with 2 quick slashes.
”Forward scout complete. Thanks, Hiroya.”
”Did we help Elberhardt?”
”Yeah.”
I wiped the blood off ‘Yamikirimaru’ and sheathed it. Asuka did the same.
Hayato quickly returned to me, so I got back on.
Gorge said, “I didn’t get to do anything,” while pulling Asuka up onto his horse.
”Alright, let’s head back to everyone!”
We followed after the caravan.
