Chapter 174 New Dungeon Exploration (Part 1️⃣)

After parting ways with Simona and the Rose Hip gang, we head towards the entrance of the new dungeon.
As we continue on our journey, we spot a group of about a dozen soldiers carrying materials like lumber.
”That must be them.”
Liz takes the lead and approaches them.
”Who are you?”
A person who seems to be the leader of the soldiers rushes up to Liz.
”I’m Liz, a Rank B adventurer. The people behind me are members of the clan ‘Famière,’ and we’re here to explore this dungeon.”
Liz presents her adventurer card from atop her horse.
”I see. Please take your horse and carriage over there.”
There were temporary structures resembling stables and barracks.
We park our carriage and lead the horses to the stable. While we’re doing this, Ms. Milia emerges from the barracks.
”Good work. So, you’re finally going to explore this dungeon, huh? I’m a bit jealous.”
”How about making a comeback as an adventurer?”
”Oh, no way. I have too much work already. We’re currently setting up monster repellents in the surrounding area.”
Principal Milia adds, “I’m so over it,” as she looks up to the sky.
”In about half a month, the defense squad from Mundo will be replaced by another group. They’re planning to mobilize them all to turn this place into a fortress. Shinji’s enthusiasm has Van’s full support.”
From my perspective, beyond where she’s looking… it’s Sister Karina, right?
”Do you, by any chance, know something about it?”
”Hmm, what might that be? Well, I am aware of most of Shinji’s romantic history, but I can categorically state that he definitely doesn’t have any secret children.”
She whispers in my ear.
”I can pretty much guess what’s going on. It’s definitely a situation that the big shots in the Royal Capital shouldn’t find out about.”
Principal Milia makes a serious face.
”Ms. Karina is my sister. Please keep it that way among you, Principal Milia.”
”Yeah, yeah. I get it. …But Shinji really got himself into a mess, huh? Well, I kind of like that about him.”
The principal winks at me.
”Um… will I end up calling you ‘mother-in-law’ eventually?”
”Who knows? ──Well then, I’ll go talk to your leader.”
Waving her hand lightly, Principal Milia walks over to Liz.

After finishing her talk with Principal Milia, Liz started speaking to us.
”I think you all know, but our main goal is to ‘get back safely.’ So, no pushing ourselves too hard, okay?”
Everyone nods vigorously.
”The formation inside the dungeon is as I explained last night. And that goes for when we encounter enemies too. ──Alright… let’s get going!”
”Be careful. Have a good trip!”
Principal Milia waves her hand.
We stepped forward towards the giant tree cave, the entrance to the dungeon.
