”But I’ve never been inside the royal castle, even as a guard. Especially such a big building. Where’s the gate?”
Puruun looks confused.
”Well, it seems Sistemador knows where the gates in the castle are. So the real problem is figuring out how to get in.”
Since there was no other choice, I decided to ask Sir Mihail.
”Ah, I’ve heard a bit from my wife. But sneaking into the castle before the princess becomes queen might be tough, even for me. Right now, the royal military is probably all over the castle. We need to get someone on the new king’s side to help us…”
”Isn’t there, like, secret passages in the castle? Maybe right next to the gate?”
”Not like in the stories… But the princess might know a few of those passages. I don’t know where she got out from, but she has escaped once before…”
”Should I go ask her?”
Puruun says eagerly.
”No, no, Ms. Puruun. If you go now, you’ll miss each other. Lord Rainsheyn has probably already started the military advance, and the route is top secret. Why not wait for the princess to arrive here and then discuss it?”
Sir Mihail suggests.
”Will that be on time?”
I ask.
”Don’t worry. Even if the princess arrives here, she won’t head straight to the royal capital. She’ll be a banner for us, so she’ll stay here for over a month, waiting for the allied lords to join.”
I see. During that time, we can plan how to sneak into the castle.
It might be a bit risky, but before we decide how to get in, we should all go to the royal capital and wait.
Well, that room in Downtown is already paid for, so that shouldn’t be a problem… Plus, I need to meet up with Melon and Ellulu. I have to take Ellulu to the gate too.
Oh, right. I also need to bring Sistemador along.
That guy is a wanted person by the military, and he seems riskier than family…
So, while waiting for Princess to arrive to Ilman town, I decided to talk about sneaking into the royal castle.

Since that day, Tomori has been coming to my barn every night.
I feel like my relationship with Tomori has improved a lot, but Ms. Akari is pretending not to see it, and it still seems like there’s tension between her and Tomori.
I’ve heard that fixing broken family relationships is tough… so I couldn’t help but secretly ask Ms. Akari if this was okay.
”That child said she has live in this world, right? I think she understand this world people’s feelings. That’s not something you can just reason through.”
Her voice trailed off, heavy with an unspoken weight.
”If Yuuta doesn’t dislike that child, then… just let her do what she want.”
A pause hung in the air, filled with a mix of regret and hope.
”It’s not exactly a way to make up for the mother who couldn’t do anything for her in this world,” she admitted quietly. “But if we don’t, that child… she’ll be all alone in this world.”
”Ms. Akari…”
I placed my hands on her shoulders and gave her a light kiss.
Then, I thought I should not only stay by Tomori’s side but also explain step by step what the two of us have been doing in this world.

Eventually, as the nearby rice fields started to be planted and early summer was approaching, Princess Asuka entered ahead of Lord Rainsheyn’s large military force.
Ms. Claudel was with her.
”Oh, darling. I’ve been wanting to see you~! I’m glad to see Ms. Puruun is doing well too.”
It seems Ms. Claudel has finally stopped holding back on calling me darling.
Well, her father was like that too, so I guess it can’t be helped… but Puruun looks pretty serious…
The hotel has been taken over as the princess’s place to stay, and around it, they quickly built several military buildings. This whole area will work as the main base for the operation. It seemed like she was busy for the first few days after arriving, but about a week later, she finally had some time, so I was able to meet her and explain everything that had happened so far.
”Hmm. There’s something like that inside the royal castle… It’s so big, even I don’t really understand it well. But if people can get inside… there are a few back doors, but I wonder if they’re usable now?”
For now, I relied on the princess’s memory and she told me about a few ways to sneak in.
”So, Mr. Yuuta. I need you to keep this secret… We are planning to set the day of my father’s national funeral as the deadline for the castle takeover operation. So, that day is likely to be the last chance to use the gate. Well, there’s also a high chance it might be destroyed before that, though…”
”Got it. Based on the information you gave me, I’ll try to sneak into the castle as soon as possible.”
”Right. Please do your best… but, it might be a bit tough for just you and your team to sneak into the castle, right? Ms. Claudel, can you help out too? I’m not sure how well your information network in the Royal Capital is working, but it’s better than nothing, right? Also, Ms. Puruun, you should go with them.”
”But, princess. I’m supposed to be by your side…”
Puruun replied.
”No, no. Now that we’ve come this far, my bodyguard is not a problem… You should work for the people you care about. Because, Mr. Yuuta… is going to leave!”
”Ah! …That’s true… I’ll follow your orders…”
Puruun saluted the princess.
”Princess, I don’t know how to express my gratitude for all the kindness you’ve shown me as just an individual. Whether I can return to my world or not, I will never forget this kindness for my whole life.”
I said, sincerely expressing my thanks.
”No, Mr. Yuuta. If you hadn’t hidden me at your home in Downtown back then, I wouldn’t be here like this now. So, in terms of gratitude, I owe you much more.”
As she said this, the princess waved me over and whispered in my ear.
”If you can accept my gratitude, would you go on a date with me tonight?”
It seemed Puruun, who was standing nearby, heard this and leaned in, saying, “Princess!” But she held her back.
”Isn’t it fine? Just this once. I probably won’t get to see Mr. Yuuta again… Puru. Remember our promise?”
”Princess… I understand. I will keep my promise. Just for today, I will let you have Yuuta!”
”Wait, wait. Ms. Puruun… what does that mean?”
Ms. Claudel was confused and confronted Puruun about the situation.
