When I opened my eyes, I found myself next to a giant tree’s hollow.
”Welcome back! Where did you go?”
As the glow of the teleportation circle at my feet faded, Principal Milia stood on the other side.
”I just got back. I found a ‘Safety Zone’ when I entered the third floor, so I used a teleportation magic tool to come back.”
”Great! That sounds like a perfect spot. Can you come over here? I want to hear more details.”
Principal Milia smiled at Liz and led us to a stone building next to the wooden barracks.

”I see. You’ve explored most of the first and second floors, but there are still a few areas left.”
Principal Milia looked at the map handed to her by Martina.
”──The size is decent, I guess. The second floor is big, but it’s still about half the size of the Welnia Labyrinth.”
”That means there are probably more floors, though…”
Liz then explained the monster encounters and the loot.
”Hmm. A Thief and a Porter are a must. You’ll need a balanced party of 6 E-rank adventurers.”
”That’s just for the second floor, though.”
”I’m sorry for making it a hassle with the report to the guild.”
Saying that, Principal Milia glanced at the loot laid out on another table.
”The magic stones… the biggest one is worth about a gold coin. The rest are worth between a silver coin and 2 silver coins. Is this biggest one from the floor boss?”
”That’s the ‘Two-Headed Snake.’ It was the floor boss of the second floor.”
”Well, the guild will handle the adventurers’ earnings. I’m curious about this dagger.”
She picked up 2 daggers that came from the room where Aluda and her sisters defeated the orc and showed them to Liz.
”I’ve never seen a design like this. It looks pretty old…”
Milia, the principal, looks closely at the daggers that don’t seem very practical.
”Alright. I’ll give you 5 gold coins for these two. Can you sell them to me?”
”I can’t decide alone… What does everyone think?”
She glances back at us, but everyone is shocked and staring with their mouths open. They look strange and beautiful, but 2 old daggers for 5 gold coins is worth about 500,000 yen in my past life. I’m surprised too.
”I don’t think they’re worth that much as weapons or decorations…”
Aluda shares his opinion as a blacksmith.
”That’s true. But for studying the age of this dungeon, they have that kind of academic value.”
”If Lady Milia is okay with that.”
Liz says this, and Milia happily hands over 5 gold coins from her robe pocket.
”Deal. Well, use it for the new clan’s operating funds.”

We quickly leave the ‘new dungeon outpost’ that’s being built and finally head back to the village.
”I don’t know how much the other loot will be worth, but it looks like we can share the payment just from the two daggers.”
Kazumi says happily from behind me on Haya.
”That’s an irregular income. It’s better not to rely too much on the income from going back and forth in the lower floors. Think of it more as ‘training’.”
”Right. I plan to have Gièze and the others dive into the lower floors, but that means we shouldn’t count on that income.”
”Well, we’ll dive deeper, so I think we can earn everyone’s pay from that income…”
It all depends on what kind of monsters show up, the value of the magic stones, and what kind of loot we get…
”I wonder how much all of this will be worth. I plan to share it as a bonus with everyone.”
”The magic stones will go to the guild, and Aluda will check the ores… What about the raw gemstones or precious metal accessories? They looked pretty old.”
”Oh, I’ll take those to the Zett Merchant Guild. Ms. Sasha said they can appraise and buy items obtained from adventures.”
Now, I should be leading the caravan with the replacement team towards the fortress city Mundo.
”…When we get back, I have to properly ‘reward’ you, okay?”
Kazumi whispers in my ear.
”But tonight… you should ‘reward’ us, okay?”
”Eh? ‘Us’?”
She giggles, and without saying anything more, Kazumi hugs my waist even tighter.

When the sun started to set, we returned to the village and first stopped by the guild.
We decided to give a detailed report tomorrow and sold the magic stones. We got 7 gold coins and 5 silver coins in total. Well, we defeated quite a few enemies. There were a lot of high goblins and high orcs too.
After just selling the magic stones, we finally headed back to the mansion.
Ms. Hanna and Noo, Uu welcomed us and immediately started cooking.
First, since we wanted to clean up, all the women headed to the bath.
”Get the meal ready!”
Suu said, dragging me along. …Not just as a porter, but Suu also took care of the meals. I thought she should take it easy tonight. She really is a hard worker.

Me, Gorge, and Noriss soaked in the hot water to relax.

Next time, we’ll split into 2 teams to explore.
”Next time, I’ll have Noriss and the others go alone, but… 4 people will be tough, so I want Gorge and Asuka to come with us for exploring from the third floor onward.”
”I’ll consult with Liz about that.”
”Yeah.”
After resting enough, we got out of the bath.

”The ores will be processed and bought by Aluda and the others. …Can you give us a little discount?”
”I’ll take the raw gemstones and old accessories to the Zett Merchant Guild tomorrow.”
After the meal, we decided how to handle the leftover loot.
”When we sell those, we’ll share it as a reward for this exploration.”
Everyone clapped at Kazumi’s words.
”…But don’t get your hopes too high. Principal Milia paid a lot for the dagger, so I think it’ll be a decent amount.”
Kazumi added this with a bit of regret, seeing everyone’s excitement.
”I want to keep going to that dungeon for a while… Is that okay?”
Gièze raised her hand and said this to Liz. It would definitely be good training.
