The mercenary group wiped out almost all the guards outside the main castle and charged out, attacking the guards at the north gate of the Royal Capital.
”Ah, Lady! Can you clean up over there a bit more?”
”What’s up, ShaSha? You wanted to shine more, right?”
Unlike their initial energy, Sharlin and Lady Beyond were now playfully arguing over who gets the credit.
”But it’s just too easy… this feels like bullying the weak. I can’t shake off this bad feeling. Ugh, this is annoying! Hey, you guys! Only those who want to die should come at me! If you don’t want to die, just get lost!”
As Sharlin shouted loudly, the guards at the gate started to flee one after another.
At this point, they couldn’t keep their spirits up. The soldiers behind them began to scatter like spiders.
After about ten minutes, the north gate was opened, and the allied forces outside began to invade the Royal Capital.
”Alright, Lady. Our job ends here, but… what do we do now?”
”Oh come on, ShaSha. You know what’s up. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see the royal harem at least once, right?”
Lady Beyond was getting into it too.
”That’s true. Let’s go!”

”Hey, where is the new king! The enemy is invading the Royal Capital!”
General Naskinpos was shouting in the strategy room of the main castle.
”Well… it seems he’s in the harem, getting cozy with that human…”
”What did you sayyyyy! Hah, haha… it’s all over… damn, I was foolish to bet on that stupid prince. At this point… fine, I’ll use the gate. Life is precious.”
Turning his gaze toward the deputy, he added with a firm tone.
”Listen up, deputy. After I escape to the human world, quickly destroy the gate so no one can follow me!”
”Understood!”
And General Naskinpos headed towards the gate room with his deputy.

In a room deep inside the harem, we found Ms. Akari.
Or more accurately, we found Ms. Akari sharing a bed with the new king, Aaron.
I was so angry I almost lost it, but Puruun held me back.
”Yuuta, calm down. Mama Akari is a hostage.”
Ms. Akari was completely n*ked, with a sword pointed at her by the new king.
”Don’t move. If anyone steps forward even a little, this one’s head will be separated from the body. Don’t underestimate the power of this legendary sword blessed by destruction…”
He glanced around the room and then turned to me with an expectant look.
”So, you’re Yuuta? Then, leave Yuuta here and everyone else get out of the room! Right now!”
Realizing that a child was in another room, he continued.
”Oh, that little kid is in the room across, so just take her away…”
As the new king said, the guards left, leaving just me behind.
”Damn, that’s cowardly.”
”What? Don’t worry. This king likes Akari. If you don’t interfere, I thinks I can make her my wife. How about it, will you give her up? You have that girl Tomori you like, right? It just so happens that you ended up here with Akari, and you shamelessly went after your lover’s mother and even had a kid… Humans really are disgusting, aren’t they?”
Damn, how far will this guy go… No, that’s not the point.
Ms. Akari must have been desperate too.
”Hmph, what do you know? Ms. Akari and I have been helping each other out, barely getting by since we ended up here. What’s so shameless about recognizing and loving each other? I don’t care about society’s judgment or what people think. I just want to be true to my feelings. That’s all!”
”Well said!”
He paused for a moment, his expression showing a mix of frustration and determination.
”But right now, you can’t do anything to me. You must be so frustrated.”
He emphasized his point with a firm voice:
”I’ll say it again. If you want to save Akari, you need to back off! I already returned your daughter.”
”Don’t measure a person’s heart with such simple math!”
I didn’t hesitate anymore. I was ready to die with Ms. Akari… I really thought that, and I grabbed the Gregory knife I had hidden at my waist and charged at the new king.
The new king must have some skills too. It was like he was expecting my attack, and he tried to deflect it with his sword… but the sword snapped with a loud crack.
”What the hell! It’s blessed by destruction!”
Haha, I got saved by Mr. Gregory again.
I pulled Ms. Akari away from the new king and punched him right in the face. The new king flew back and rolled behind the bed.
”Yuuta…”
Ms. Akari looked at me with worry.
”Ms. Akari. It’s okay. The outcome is already decided…”
”Heh, is that so?”
Suddenly, a terrible headache hit me. Damn, my body wouldn’t move at all…
”This is for the Nobility’s self-defense. Many Nobility keep these under their beds. You know that priests can communicate with other species, right? This device amplifies that energy to attack specific targets. So, it works on any race!”
Saying that, the new king pulled out a small device and another sword from under the bed.
”Ah, Your Majesty… please stop. I’ll convince Yuuta… have mercy!”
Ms. Akari clung to the new king but got pushed away.
”It’s too late! Just wishing won’t change anything!”
As the new king raised his sword to strike me, suddenly, the door flew open, and his sword and the self-defense device were knocked out of his hands.
Oh, it’s Ms. Sharlin!
Ms. Sharlin didn’t hold back and swung her sword down at the new king.
”Stop!”
Ms. Akari jumped at the new king, almost getting cut in half with him, but Ms. Sharlin barely stopped her in time.
”Mate… what a reckless thing to do…”
Outside, Ms. Claudel, Puruun, and the guards came into the room with Karin.
”Hey, Yuuta. Is this the new king? If we take his head, that’ll be a big deal. We might get enough reward to play for life!”
Ms. Sharlin shouted.
”No, we can’t kill him. We’ll take him to the princess.”
Ms. Claudel said as she approached to restrain the new king, but Ms. Akari wouldn’t let go.
Then, the new king spoke up.
”Yuuta. I’ve lost. Your earlier words were good. I want to be true to my feelings… I thought the world was the same, but it seems I made a mistake somewhere.”
He paused for a moment, reflecting on his past.
”Father, Mother, and Sister all really loved each other without holding back… That’s how I was born… But I… I didn’t feel like my mom and I were loved by everyone like Karin and Akari were… Everyone had their own reasons, but I didn’t think about that…”
He looked at me with a mixture of regret and determination.
”Yuuta, you should use the gate. The world allows it. But hurry, or that useless general might get ahead of you!”
Ms. Akari is holding the new king gently and patting his head. I don’t know what happened yet, but Ms. Akari must feel something for the new king in her own way.
”Yuuta. You did it! You can use the gate. I need to call Tomori, Sistemador, and Ellulu right away. I’ll go get them!”
Saying that, Puruun ran off.
”Well then, shall we go take down that useless general? Lady Beyond, could you please tell the princess about the new king’s surrender?”
Saying that, Ms. Claudel, the guards, and Lady Beyond left the scene.
Now, the new king, Ms. Akari, Karin, Ms. Sharlin, and I were left behind.
”King. I really think you have a kind heart. So please reflect on this and get along with Princess Aaa-aaa.”
”Heh, thank you, Akari. I really wish you had been my wife from the start…”
