”When I get back, I need to decide the members for the next dungeon attack.”
”Maybe in 2 or 3 days?”
”Yeah. Until then, it might be nice to take it easy and rest.”
We chatted about this while hurrying back to the clan house.
”Sister Karina and Gièze are heading out for guild requests starting tomorrow, right?”
”Yeah, Lotta and Noriss too. They just got back from exploring the new dungeon, so I think they can take it easy.”
”They’re really serious, you know.”
”I’ll go with them. If we let just those 4 go, what’s the point of having a clan?”
Liz and Dorothy looked puzzled at my words.
”I was thinking of going too.”
”Me too.”
We stopped walking and exchanged glances.
”Wow… looks like we were all thinking the same thing.”
”If we let them handle requests alone, what’s the point of the clan?”
”I believe my role in the clan is to protect them.”
”””Pfft!”””
We all burst out laughing, “Hahaha!”
”Should we leave it to you, Hiroya?”
”Yeah. It wouldn’t make sense for you to tag along.”
”Okay. Then I’ll go with them.”
We held hands and started walking again.
”If Hiroya’s going, make sure to take on a request that’s a bit tough but has good rewards.”
”Right. Is there a request for taking down 5 ogres or something?”
”Wait, you two, the main team is Gièze and the others, okay? I’m just here to support.”
Thinking of our juniors, Liz and Dorothy joked around as we walked back to the clan house along the snowy path.

”Oh! Lotta, what’s up? You look super cute!”
As soon as we entered the dining hall, Liz exclaimed.
”I’ve always wanted some clothes. I only had adventure gear…”
Lotta, dressed in a cute village girl outfit, smiles happily.
”I wanted to treat myself a little… so I went to the clothing store today.”
Noriss looks at Lotta with a happy expression.
”Looks great! It really suits you, Lotta.”
Not just flattery, she really doesn’t look like an adventurer. So cute.
”Of course, you bought her some cute underwear too, right, Noriss?”
Liz is grinning.
”Well… I was too embarrassed, so I waited outside…”
Noriss looks down, her face turning red.
”…I bought something cute, I swear, Noriss.”
Lotta turns just as red.
”So fresh and lovely! ♡.”
Dorothy seems to be quite smitten?

After dinner, the women are excited about the cake that Sister Karina and Gièze brought back from the sweet shop.
”About tomorrow’s request…”
Gièze, having quickly finished the cake, starts talking.
”I was thinking of taking on a wild boar hunt.”
”Oh, I’ll go with you!”
I raise my hand while eating a strawberry shortcake.
”R-really? Hiroya is coming with us?”
”Yeah. It’s scary to think something might happen to you girls.”
”Alright, then I’ll take on the ogre hunt!”
”Wait, Gièze, I’m just here as a companion, okay? Also, Liz and Dorothy said the same thing.”
”I was aiming for a great laugh, but… was it a bit of a repeat?”
Gièze looks oddly down. What’s with you getting all serious and then trying to be funny?
”Well, the wild boar hunt is a solid plan for tomorrow. But about the next dungeon exploration…”
Liz starts talking, and everyone stops to listen.
”Asuka, Gorge… you two will be split into 2 teams, is that okay?”
”Not a problem at all.”
”Totally fine! Why’s that?”
Since they agreed without hesitation, Liz seems relieved and continues.
”Yeah, I want Gièze, Karina, Noriss, and Lotta from the lower rank group to join you, Gorge.”
”Asuka’s strength is needed in the deep floors. So, I want you to join our team.”
”I personally want to take care of Gièze. But if we want to be fully prepared for the exploration… it’s probably best to join the deep floor group, just like Hiroya said. Got it.”
Asuka nodded. Gorge also said, “Got it, understood.”
”Now, I want one of Aluda, Eluda, or Meluda to join the lower rank group…”
Liz shifted her gaze to the dwarf sisters.
”One of us has to stay at the shop. We’ve been closing it more often lately.”
Meluda murmured, looking disappointed.
”Then, 2 of you can join.”
”Yeah, yeah. One will join the lower rank group and one will join the deep floor group.”
Aluda and Eluda continued.
”We need to hire someone to watch the shop… There were a few who wanted to be apprentices…”
Aluda sighed.
”Wow, wanting to be an apprentice is impressive. You really are the granddaughter of the master craftsman Toldo.”
Kazumi said, genuinely impressed.
”Well, you see…”
Eluda started speaking in a gloomy tone.

There have been a few blacksmiths from the Royal Capital and Mundo who wanted to be apprentices, but it seems they were only after a connection to Toldo, clearly trying to charm Aluda and the others.
”In the end, they think if they can get close to me, they might marry me… and sneak into the Freeberry family. What a bunch of idiots…”
Meluda spat out, clearly disgusted.
”Getting close… doesn’t that sound dangerous?”
Rena asked, looking worried. I was concerned too. Depending on the situation, I might have to stay at Aluda’s place or have the 3 sisters move to the clan house.
”There were a couple of guys who approached me while I was working… but we kicked them out together.”
Eluda laughed.
”I contacted Grandpa right away, so those guys probably won’t be able to work as blacksmiths anymore.”
Aluda laughed too. …I’m glad the 3 sisters are strong.
”But, I feel a bit uneasy. How about you guys just move in with us?”
Liz seems worried too. She looks like she’s thinking the same thing.
”Yeah. Aluda asked me to set up a ‘forge’ on the mansion. Why not just work here and sell from a shop?”
The 3 sisters smile happily at Liz and Kazumi’s invitation.
”Um… is that really okay?”
”It sounds super tempting from Eluda’s side.”
”I’d like to be taken care of here.”
”Then it’s settled. You should move in tomorrow.”
Kazumi claps her hands, *clap!* Yeah, that sounds good. They’re the granddaughter of the master craftsman Toldo, and their skills as a blacksmith are top-notch. Plus, they’re cute, so there will probably be a lot of guys trying to get their attention. You never know when those types might resort to desperate measures.
”Ah… just so you know, Aluda belongs to Hiro, okay? I won’t let anyone touch me, not even a finger…”
Maybe my frustration showed on my face, because Aluda whispered to me.
”Y-yeah. If you move here, I’ll feel safe.”
* * *
”Okay, back to the topic… for the lower rank group, we have Gièze, Karina, Noriss, Lotta, Gorge… and one of the 3 sisters, plus someone from Porter, Wolf, right?”
”Yes. I think that’s a good enough team.”
Gièze nods.
”And I’ll leave the leadership to you.”
Liz smiles at Gièze, who just replied.
”M-me?”
”It’s fine. Gorge will support you, so don’t worry.”
”You’ll be okay. Plus, I’ve been on enough adventures myself. You can count on me for support.”
Liz gently encourages the flustered Gièze, and Gorge agrees with her.
”That sounds good, right?”
Liz looks over at Sister Karina, Noriss, and Lotta.
”Y-yes, of course. If it’s Gièze, then it’s all good.”
Sister Karina agreed, and Noriss and Lotta nodded enthusiastically.
”Then, the deep floor team is automatically decided. Me, Hiroya, Martina, Dorothy, Kazumi, Rena, Asuka. And one of the 3 sisters, plus one of Wolf-chan’s crew.”
The members for the next dungeon exploration have been decided. I’m really looking forward to it.
