Volume 2 Chapter 8 The Gate’s Matter
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Tomori and Mr. George quickly grabbed a taxi right after finishing college and headed home.
In the taxi, Tomori realized she was still in that swimsuit.
(Oh no… I’m way too flustered…)
Mr. George, sitting next to her, seemed unsure where to look, his eyes darting around awkwardly. Well, at this point…
Tomori wrapped her arm around Mr. George’s and said,
”Um, Mr. George. It’s embarrassing because I feel like we’re strangers…
But let’s pretend we’re not strangers…”
Mr. George looked surprised at first, but then he smiled and replied,
”Yeah, that makes it easier for me to do my job…”
The taxi arrived in front of the Sakura house.
Oh, right. She should has contacted the aunt first.
(I really am too flustered…)
Anyway, when they headed to the backyard with Mr. George… there she was! Ellulu. There was also a guy who looked like he was from Stanford. He had a knife pressed against her neck and seemed to be shouting something, but it was in English, so Ellulu probably didn’t understand.
”HOLD UP!”
Mr. George shouted a warning at the Stanford guy.
Huh? When did he get a gun… where was he hiding it?
The Stanford guy was saying something. Tomori’s English wasn’t great, but it sounded like he was threatening to kill if anyone moved. His eyes were unfocused, clearly not in a normal state of mind.
”Mr. George, please tell him this:
If he releases Ellulu, I’ll tell him how to get over there. But once he goes, he can never come back. It’s certain that Dr. Moore is dead. Even so, does he still want to go over there…?”
When Mr. George conveyed that to the Stanford guy, he started talking rapidly.
”He says this: Cattleya is mine. It doesn’t matter if she’s dead or alive. If she’s alive, we must be together no matter where she is, and if she’s dead and buried, I should be right next to her. He says she’s lonely.”
Ah, what an intense kind of love this is.
Tomori felt a bit impressed.
”Got it. I’ll send you over there. So let go of that kid!”
”It seems like he’s saying he won’t let go until he get proper instructions.”
”…Just wait a moment.”
Tomori said this and brought over a tag that was stored in the storage room next to Yuuta’s house.
”Put this around your neck. And stand here… yeah, right around there.”
”Hey, Tomori. If we send this person like this, they’ll end up at the castle gate, right? Is that okay?”
Ellulu said, looking worried.
”It’s an emergency, so it should be fine. Sistemador might be surprised, but… It’s not that easy to just send one person over there and do something right away.”
Yeah, she knew that better than anyone.
”Hurry up!”
Stanford urged.
”Now, there’s a transfer gate right in front of you. Ellulu and I can see it clearly, but… It seems like you have to believe in it to see it. If you can’t believe it, just give up.”
Stanford initially looked puzzled, squinting and blinking one eye.
”OH! Light Cycle!”
Looks like he could see it now.
Maybe it’s easier for crazy people to see these things.
”If you go in there, you’ll arrive at the castle’s gate room. Don’t forget to greet the people you meet.”
”Oh… thank you… and with me!”
Saying that, Stanford jumped into the gate, grabbing Ellulu’s wedding dress as he did.
”Ah, no! Ellulu doesn’t have a tag!”
Tomori shouted.
But with a pop, Ellulu’s wedding dress tore from the back, and only the black lace part of the outfit fell into the gate with Stanford.
What was left behind was Ellulu, now in just her underwear.
”Oh! Incredible!”
Mr. George shouted loudly.
Hahaha… as expected from a show costume. The stitching was so loose, it saved her.
”I was feeling tight around the waist, so I was trying to pull out some threads from the skirt and waist to fix it, and then that guy grabbed me.”
Ellulu said with a smile.
