Chapter 218 Everyone in the Clan

The next morning, the breakfast scene was quieter than usual.

”What’s up? You guys always look so down at breakfast. The food’s this good, you know?”
Doll, dressed in a town girl outfit borrowed from Martina and hiding her succubus traits, sighed and said that.
”You don’t need to be anxious. He just want to share a little secret with everyone.”
”Doll…!”
”What’s wrong, boy? I’m not wrong, am I?”
”Well, yeah, but…”
With that vibe, breakfast wrapped up, and after cleaning up, I had Ms. Hanna and the wolf maids take their seats.
”First off… I’m really sorry for causing worry and trouble this time… no, I truly apologize.”
I bowed my head to everyone.
”So, why did I collapse? It’s a long story, but can you listen…?”
Everyone nodded quietly, as if they were trying not to miss my words.
And I began to talk.
Kazumi and I have memories from our past lives.
We lived in a different world.
In that world, Kazumi and I died together. We had feelings for each other in our past lives.
When we were 8 years old… during the opening ceremony of the third grade, both Kazumi and I regained our past life memories.
So, even though our bodies are 9 years old, my mind is 23, and Kazumi’s is 29.
The reason isn’t clear, but I can take on my past life form. However, using that power puts too much strain on my current body, and I collapse.
This time, to save Liz, I used that power along with ‘Physical Boost’ at maximum, which caused my muscle tissue to break down.
The damage to my body was fixed by Mr. Rudolf. But my condition was so bad that I couldn’t regain consciousness for a long time.
Thanks to Doll, I was able to come back quickly.

”It might sound unbelievable, but… it’s true. Rena, Liz, Martina, Dorothy, Aluda, Asuka, and Gorge know about it, but I still worried everyone a lot. Especially those who didn’t know the situation… I can only imagine how much you all must have worried──.”
I bow my head to everyone again.
”So! ──That’s why I wanted to make sure to tell everyone. …You all are important friends── I think of you as family.”

After Kazumi’s plea, a moment of silence fell over the cafeteria.

Lotta and Noriss also laughed.
”Well, Eluda has seen Hiro in his adult form, but… there was a reason for that.”
”Adult Hiro is ridiculously cool.”
Remembering when I caught a glimpse of that form, Eluda and Meluda blushed and said.
”Even if Hiroya has that kind of power, the strength he has now is the result of his own hard work and training. He should be proud.”
”I heard about the master before, but… I can’t believe Kazumi is also… I’m shocked!”
Asuka crossed her arms and nodded, while Gorge muttered, “The adult Kazumi… she must be beautiful…” and got a light smack on the head from Asuka.
”Ay… see, dat guy you know, da one I was talkin’ to, yeah?”
Simona started talking shyly, looking at me with serious eyes.
”When I heard that Mr. Hiroya and Ms. Kazumi have adult hearts, it just clicked for me. I look forward to working with you from now on!”
”I don’t really get it, but…”
”Yeah. I love both Sir Hiroya and Lady Kazumi!”
”Me too~.”
Ms. Hanna and the wolf maids smiled at us.
”I’m sorry for keeping quiet until now…”
”Thanks, everyone…”
Kazumi started crying, so I hurriedly handed her a handkerchief.
”Good for you, boy, and young lady Kazumi. You’ve got great friends. ──Looks like Sir Azradelius doesn’t have much time left.”

Hearing Doll’s grumbling, Liz burst out laughing.
”That’s why he clings to the women around Mr. Hiroya. What a pathetic guy.”
Dorothy chuckled too.
”Wuz it da knight Müller wut chopped off Otto’s arm? Back den, I shoulda chopped off Otto’s… y’know what, so he couldn’t mess wit ladies no more!”
Simona said something quite crude, but everyone nodded vigorously in agreement.
”Even though it’s just me and Kazumi… is it okay to still be friends?”
”Of course! You two are the center of it all.”
In response to my question, Gièze said that firmly.
”Yeah, yeah. There are some guys who should act more humble than Hiroya and Kazumi.”
”Whaddup, Liz? You talkin’ bout me?”
”Oh, you got that?”
”I’m a guest in dis clan, ya know? Treat me better!”
”Huh? I could just kick you out, you know?”
”No way! Hiroya made me fall for him, so he’s responsible! Until den──nah, even after dat, I ain’t leavin’ here!”
”Simona… you’re not really a guest anymore, are you?”
I chuckled lightly, thinking that this kind of banter between Liz and Simona would become a daily thing.
The cafeteria was filled with laughter watching their exchange.
(I’m really glad I met everyone.)
I smiled, feeling the same way.

”Well, I had a delicious breakfast, so… I guess I’ll head back now.”
Doll stood up from her seat.
”Are you going back to the dungeon?”
Kazumi called out.
”I’m from ‘that side,’ you know.”
”You can stay here! I don’t want to fight Doll…”
Martina’s eyes were watery.
”When you say that… it makes me hesitate…”
Doll smiled at Martina.
”Well, even if I go back, I don’t plan on fighting you guys. I guess it’s my duty to serve until the end… So, when you guys defeat Sir Azradelius… I’ll cry and beg for forgiveness, and I’d appreciate your help.”
Saying that, she headed towards the entrance.
”I really like this outfit, so I’ll keep it.”
”Come visit again. You’re welcome here.”
”Welcome? I’m a youma──female demon (succubus), you know?”
Doll turned back and gave a wry smile, and everyone smiled and nodded at her.
Seeing that, she scratched her head a bit shyly, waved her hand, and left the mansion.
