”Hey there, you okay? You still alive?”
I heard a clear, warm voice.
Hey there? Oh, you mean me.
I was struggling to move the dead mantis off me, but I just couldn’t budge.
”I don’t know who you are, but thanks for the help. If you could also move this thing, that’d be great…”
I called out for help in the direction of the voice.
A woman in revealing armor stepped out from the bushes.
At first, I was taken aback by her looks.
Sure, the blonde hair and blue eyes were striking. Her face was really pretty too.
If those curves were real, she must’ve been at least a D-cup.
But then—wait! Those bat-like wings on her back and those goat horns on her head… were those part of a costume?
She stopped right in front of me.
Looking up from where she stood, I caught sight of two mountains and what was under her skirt.
I quickly turned my eyes away, but she seemed to notice and grinned at me.
”Honestly, well, you’re young, so I guess it’s okay. Hehe.”
”N-no, that’s not it… I didn’t mean to… it just happened to come into my view…”
I was racking my brain for excuses.
I had no experience with girls in real life, so I didn’t know how to respond.
Plus, I couldn’t tell if she was a player or an NPC, which made me even more confused.
While I was thinking of excuses, she moved the mantis off me.
”But hey, boy. It’s impressive you survived that silver mantis attack.”
”Oh, thank you!! Ouch!”
As I tried to get up, a sharp pain shot through my cheek.
When I touched the source of the pain, I found a small but deep cut.
”You’ve got a little injury there. Hold on, I’m gonna cast a healing light on you.”
She reached out to help me up, murmuring some unfamiliar words as her hand neared my cheek.
Her hand started to glow as it touched the wound.
I braced myself for the pain I expected, but the touch of her hand was soft, warm, and didn’t hurt at all.
When the light from her hand faded and she gently let go, I touched the wounded area and found that it had become a smooth cheek.
”It doesn’t hurt anymore! What did you do?”
”You don’t know magic?”
”Is this magic? Wow, it’s amazing! My scar’s gone!”
”This (healing magic) is just a little extra, though. Doesn’t really heal you much.”
She seemed a bit shy, but she looked happy to get a compliment.
”If you hadn’t helped me, I’d probably be eaten by now.”
”Yeah, I guess the boy’s lucky in that regard. By the way, we never really introduced ourselves, did we?”
Now that she mentioned it, I realized we hadn’t introduced ourselves.
It’s proper manners and etiquette to do so when you first meet someone.
”Oh, sorry. I’m Kent. Are you a PC?”
”I’m Miriallia. Say, what’s a PC? Like, what’s your profession?”
The fact that she didn’t know what a PC was made me think she was an NPC character.
And there was one more thing I wanted to ask Miriallia.
”Ms. Miriallia, may I ask you a question? Are those horns and wings real?”
She looked perplexed at my question.
Oops, I touched on something I shouldn’t have.
”Kent, you asking strange things. It’s already settled, isn’t it? I’m a succubus of the dream demon tribe. You weren’t never seen one?”
”Sorry for the rude question, it’s just that I’ve never seen one before…”
”Well, it’s fine. But we gotta do something about your clothes, Kent.”
As I followed her gaze, I realized it was directed at my crotch.
I had forgotten about it in my relief, but when I looked down, I saw that area was soaked in that liquid.
”Ah! No, I mean, it’s not like that!!”
Damn, I just peed myself in front of a beautiful stranger.
How embarrassing! I wanna run away right now.
I quickly covered my crotch. Miriallia, seeing me like this, was trying hard not to laugh.
”I’ll finish disassembling this praying mantis real quick, so just wait a sec. Then we can go for a swim in the nearby spring.”
”Yeah, that’s a good idea. The mantis──bodily fluids are all over my clothes and it’s so sticky and gross.”
”Haha, I’ll let you have that one.”
With that, Miriallia quickly started disassembling the mantis.
While waiting for her to finish, I enlarged the message log window flickering in the corner of my vision.

Reading the log, it seems Miriallia’s friendship level has significantly increased and her status has changed to favorable.
The power of the unique skill [Handsome Guy] is truly formidable.
It’s amazing, Miriallia, that you’d develop a favorable opinion of a guy who just peed himself.
”Alright, I’m done with the disassembly, so let’s head to the spring like we planned, Kent-boy.”
Miriallia finished disassembling the Silver Mantis and walked towards me.
Her backpack had mantis legs and other parts sticking out, creating a pretty surreal sight.
But I’m a man who always repays his debts, and right now, the only way I can help her is by carrying her backpack.
So I offered,.
”Ms. Miriallia, let me carry that heavy-looking backpack for you.”
”Oh no! It’s so heavy!”
”I want to repay your kindness, so please let me carry your bag.”
Miriallia agreed with my sincere plea and handed over her backpack.
Crack, crack!
Dang, this thing is heavy! My spine is making weird noises, and my legs are starting to feel shaky.
”Kent-boy, you sure you’re okay? You don’t have to push yourself.”
”I’m fine, this is nothing. Haha.”
”Just let me know if it’s too much for you, okay?”
And so, we decided to walk to the nearby spring.
