I hear a distressed voice coming from inside the tent.
It’s Kent.
I, Milly, rush into the tent, panicked.
The scent that hits me is unmistakably male.
I can’t help but imagine what Kent was up to in there.
”I-If you come in now, it’s not good, Ms. Milly.”
Kent warns me with a strained voice. The tent is filled with a strong male scent, making my head spin.

I had a hunch why Kent was in such distress.

I rush to Kent and pick him up.
Kent, in my arms, calls my name with a dazed expression.

I was crying.

I can hear Kent’s voice right behind me.
The hands holding me are warm.

I was so happy that I started crying again.
Kent is saying sorry, but I’m the one who should be apologizing.
”What happened last night wasn’t your fault, Kent… it was my fault.”

Maybe if I talked about what happened yesterday, he would end up hating me.

I asked Kent to wait in the tent.
He nodded and headed back toward the tent.

I had to think of another reason.
One thought popped into my head.

Kent spent the night with me and didn’t die.

I lowered my head, rubbing it against the floor.

Kent seemed shaken by my sudden words.
I lifted my face and spoke quickly before he could regain his composure.
”Our dream demon clan has a rule that we must serve those who survived a night in bed with us. Since you, Sir Kent, are alive after sharing a bed with me last night, I would like you to become my master according to the rules. You have the power of life and death over me. I will take care of everything, from daily life to nighttime companionship. Please, I beg for your mercy, Sir Kent…”
Once again, I lowered my head, rubbing it against the floor.
Kent told me to lift my head.
He looked me in the eye and spoke firmly.
”I’ll listen to the rules later, but first, let me properly apologize for what happened yesterday.”
His words pierced my heart.
”Kent…”
”I’m sorry for trampling on your dignity for my own pleasure. I truly apologize. I know I’m a worthless man, but can you forgive me?”
Kent was earnestly asking for forgiveness, bowing his head.
I should be the one asking for his forgiveness…
I placed my hand on his cheek and spoke words of forgiveness.
”Miriallia Blackdagger forgives everything Kent has done.”
Kent’s face lit up with joy when he heard my words of permission.
He was happy without realizing my filthy calculations.
”Ah, thank you, Ms. Milly… I’m really sorry. Like I said earlier at the fountain, I’ll do anything I can!!”
Before Kent’s feelings could change, I pushed out one last word.
”Well then, I ask again. Will you please become my owner (master)?”
Even though I said it myself, I felt like throwing up.
”Owner… so you mean you want me to be your partner?”
I was shocked by what Kent said.
He wasn’t saying he wanted to make a filthy person like me his wife, nor did he wish for that… right? But when I imagined myself as Kent’s partner, my face flushed.

The moment I understood what Kent said, I started to cry.
Kent told me that it was okay for this calculating, selfish, filthy me to love him.
I’m trembling with joy, weaving my vows while holding the dagger, which is more precious than life itself.
”I, Miriallia Blackdagger, swear on this dagger to live as a lifelong friend of Majin’s Kent, as a sister, and as a beloved.”
Then I kissed the dagger and stole a kiss from Kent.

As I finished kissing Kent, I felt my body heat up.
When he looked at me, I suddenly became restless.
I thought maybe I was in a dream, but the sensation of Kent’s lips was real.
To confirm the sincerity of this dreamlike vow, I asked Kent.
”Um, Sir Kent… does that vow mean we can’t get intimate?”
Kent answered with a shy smile.
”Well, if it’s with both of our consent, then it’s fine, right? But no s*xual harassment, okay?”
I was allowed to be by Kent’s side and love him.
