When I woke up, Annabella and Milly were not beside me. For a moment, I felt anxious, wondering if they had lost interest in me.
Knock, knock!
The door opened, and Annabella appeared.
”Sir Kent, I have brought your clothes.”
Dressed in a maid outfit, Annabella respectfully offered me the clothes.
”Do you need help changing?”
Annabella seemed to be keeping her composure, but her face looked a little red. When I looked directly at her face, I felt a bit embarrassed too.
”I-I’m fine. I can change by myself.”
”Well then, once you’re done changing, breakfast will be ready, so I’ll be waiting.”
Annabella bowed deeply and left through the door.
After getting dressed, I realized I hadn’t checked the logs since meeting Feria yesterday, so I decided to do that before breakfast. I started looking through Annabella’s logs.

Guu~. My stomach growled. Hearing that sound reminded me that breakfast was ready, so I closed the log and headed to the dining room.
After finishing breakfast, Milly asked me about today’s plans. According to Milly, if I don’t get my ID made, it could lead to some trouble, so she suggested going to the Margrave’s castle. The ID should be accepted easily since Milly will register as my guarantor.
After that, she proposed we go shopping in the western district’s ‘Shopping street’ to gather my personal items. Of course, I agreed right away.
Then, I made a request to Milly. That request was to teach me how to read and write. I think being able to read, write, and do basic math is essential in any world. If I can do math and speak, then being able to read and write should allow me to handle most jobs.
Of course, Milly would probably say it’s okay if she doesn’t work, but I can’t just not work. It’s my little pride that I can’t rely on her for everything, from food and shelter to personal care. Since I already see this world as ‘reality’, I want to work hard to earn my place. Learning to read and write is the first step.
Milly agreed to my request. She said she would start teaching me this afternoon. I’m going to do my best to get out of being unemployed!
