The room where three Hobgoblins appeared was unusual; usually, it was just a few Hobgoblins and High Goblins.
”Things are going well.”
”That said, I doubt we’ll reach the Fourth Floor by night.”
”As long as no one gets hurt, that’s what matters most.”
In response to my muttering, Liz and Asuka chimed in.
”Still, I want to push forward as much as we can. I want to get to a level that matches our abilities quickly.”
”That’s true. Our goal is to conquer the S-rank dungeon and defeat Azradelius… this ‘Great Labyrinth Attack’ is all about leveling up for that.”
What Liz and Dorothy said made sense. Conquering the S-rank dungeon is our main goal and top priority.
”Well, we can leave the thorough investigation of the Third Floor to Gieze and the others. With their skills, this floor should be just right for them, right?”
Kazumi peeked out from behind Meluda to join the conversation.
”Yeah. It seems there was a mistake this time, but normally, the members should have no problem handling Hobgoblins.”
Asuka replied while still facing forward. Just then, Aluda, who had been walking a little ahead, ran back to us.
”There was a door. Martina is checking it now.”

”There are no locks or traps. Inside… I think there’s one Hobgoblin and four High Goblins.”
”…It might be better to add one more person to the vanguard.”
Liz crossed her arms and pondered over Martina’s report.
”No problem. I can take down a High Goblin with my ‘Fireball.’”
Kazumi rolled up her sleeves.
”Then should we take down the other High Goblin with ‘Fireball’ too?”
”I want Rena to be careful of the magic that High Goblins might use.”
”Don’t worry, if it’s me, I can cast ‘Fireball’ and respond right away!”
”Really?”
Liz looked at Rena with a slightly exasperated expression. Rena is not just any rank A; she’s a goddess after all.
”Then, we’ll be facing one Hobgoblin and two High Goblins. Hiroya, can you handle the Hobgoblin?”
”Sure, but why?”
”I want to show everyone, including you, my good side for once.”
Asuka gripped the hilt of her sword and stared at the door. Honestly, she already showed her good side in the last Hobgoblin fight.
”How should I put it… trusting you guys and facing the strongest enemy feels really good.”
Asuka looked down at me and smiled.
”That’s what trust is, huh? AsuAsu, you probably never felt this in your party with Otto.”
”Ah, I see. That’s probably it.”
Martina patted Asuka on the shoulder, and Asuka nodded in agreement.
”Alright, I’ll take on the biggest one.”
”Leave the other weak ones to us. Just don’t get too carried away and climax from the excitement!”
Asuka smiled and nodded at me and Liz, then stood in front of the door.
”Well then… here we go!”
Asuka kicked the door down.

”Fireball!”
Kazumi and Rena cast their attack magic. The fireballs that appeared were the size of watermelons. They flew towards the two High Goblins on either side and exploded on impact.
(They’re the same size as Rena… Amazing, Kazumi…)
Impressed by Kazumi’s fire magic, I charged at the remaining High Goblin. Using my dad’s ‘power,’ I predicted the enemy’s movements.
(It’s slow. No need to dodge…)
I slipped right in without avoiding the predicted attack.
I dashed through and delivered a swift strike with my drawn sword to its torso.
Raising the club high, the High Goblin was about to bring it down, but its upper body was severed and fell to the ground.
Sheathing my sword, Asuka looked at the Hobgoblin, and without letting it attack, she leaped and delivered a sharp thrust to its forehead. She kicked the Hobgoblin’s chest to pull out the deeply embedded sword and landed behind it.
(Asuka’s thrust is indeed amazing…)
Her agile and precise movements made her thrusts accurate and swift.
The collaboration between Martina and Aluda that unfolded before my eyes was also incredible.
Martina, with her quick movements, dodged the High Goblin’s attacks and got close, delivering a series of blows with her short sword and main-gauche to its legs. Then, as it kneeled, Aluda brought down her hammer with full force, shattering its head.
(Martina’s quick movements are amazing, but Aluda’s heavy blow is brutal…)
In an instant, the monsters disappeared, leaving behind their magic stones.
”It’s over so quickly…”
”Ah, yeah… I’m amazed at the strength of our close combat members…”
Meluda and Liz stood there, stunned.
”I feel a bit frustrated. I want to fight with this soon too…”
Dorothy extended her right hand forward, and with a sharp sound, she unfolded the ‘Iron Claw’ embedded in it.
”T… Trust me next time, Dorothy…”
Liz gasped as she stared at the ‘Iron Claw’ extended before her eyes.
”Because you two took down two with magic, we were able to finish them off quickly.”
Asuka said, placing her hand on Kazumi and Rena’s shoulders. Kazumi and Rena smiled, looking a bit embarrassed.
”How was it, Asuka? Did you enjoy it?”
Asuka smiled in response to Liz’s teasing words.
”Yes, I got a little wet down there.”

Without straying into other corridors, we continued down the hallway leading east, relentlessly searching for the route to the ‘Fourth Floor.’
After battling through about three more rooms, we decided to set up camp.
Rena set up a ‘Monster Repellent’ protection wall in the room and, in the meantime, prepared for camping. It was quick, just putting up a canvas for a toilet screen with a pole.
”You don’t need a screen to wipe your body, right?”
After finishing the screen, Liz said.
”Right? Except for Asuka and Uu… well, Hiro’s… woman…”
”Exactly! No one should feel embarrassed, right?”
”No way! That’s not okay!? AsuAsu is a married woman, so we have to hide!”
Meluda snapped at Aluda and Liz.
”But, after morning practice, Hiroya always takes a bath with Asuka and Gieze, right?”
”That’s true… Uu is one thing, but Asuka is different now, right?”
Kazumi and Rena looked at Meluda with expressions that said, “What are you talking about?”
”You know!? And you’re okay with it!?”
Meluda looked at the two in surprise.
”If AsuAsu isn’t embarrassed, then it’s not a problem, right? Right, Big Brother Hiroya?”
Martina asked, smiling at me.
”Well… I guess that’s true, but Asuka is a married woman… I’ll try not to look.”
”I’m fine with it! Besides, I only have feelings for Gorge…”
”‘You don’t get aroused by anyone else,’ right? I’ve heard that before!”
Meluda was really angry, looking like she was about to explode.
”Oh, I see. It’s ‘jealousy,’ isn’t it, Meluda?”
”Is that so! You don’t want Mr. Hiroya to see other women naked, do you?”
Liz and Dorothy grinned as they looked at Meluda.
”Y-Yeah! It’s jealousy! But seriously, it’s weird that everyone else is okay with it!”
Yeah. Meluda’s feelings are valid, right? I think the women here are too open.
”Sir Hiroya! Uu will wipe your body~.”
Everyone definitely stopped Uu, who was trying to pull my hand and take me to the corner of the room.
