In the afternoon, we gathered in the reception room.
The participants were me, Milly, Annabella, Feria, Lina, Lana, and Aurelia, a total of 7 people.
The reason we gathered was to discuss the Private Hunting Group that we were about to establish under the Blackdagger family.
”Everyone, thank you for coming. As I mentioned this morning, I would like to start the preparatory meeting for the establishment of the Hunting Group. I, Miriallia Blackdagger, will be the facilitator. Ms. Annabella, could you please take the minutes?”
Wow, Milly, with her serious expression, is really a cool woman.
I was captivated by Milly.
”Yes, Lady Miriallia. Everything is ready.”
”Now, first, regarding the purpose of founding this Hunting Group, the official reason will be that I organized a Private Hunting Group in response to my uncle’s request for assistance in monster hunting. However, the real purpose is to support the training of my owner, Kent, as a Monster Hunter. Additionally, another purpose is to secure personnel to support Kent’s duties (activation of Sexual Prowess Skill). For these two purposes, we will establish the Hunting Group. Does anyone have any objections?”
Milly looked around at everyone.
Lina raised her hand.
”Elder Sister, is there any point in having an official reason? I don’t think it changes the fact that the Blackdagger family is establishing a Private Hunting Group.”
”Regarding that, it relates to a confidentiality order from my uncle, who requested that we keep Kent out of the spotlight as much as possible. However, all decision-making authority will respect Kent.”
With the silence imposed, I can only be seen as the fiancé of the Blackdagger family’s mistress, so I guess I was deemed to have too little name value.
It’s probably a choice made with the thought that having Milly, an S-Class Hunter and a local celebrity, as the head of the Hunting Group would make it easier to gather both money and people.
That’s what I was thinking.
”Are there any other opinions?”
Milly looked around, but it seemed like there were no particular opinions.
”It doesn’t seem like there are any, so I’d like to decide on the Hunting Group’s registered name next. Feel free to speak up.”
The moment I heard about the Hunting Group’s registered name, our Maid Warrior, Feria, was the first to express her opinion.
”Yes, yes! I think the Hunting Group name should be ‘Kent Harem Girls’!”
Pfft!
With that name, it completely defeats the purpose of Milly being the head of the Hunting Group to keep me out of the spotlight.
”Feria, were you listening to what Lady Miriallia just said? Didn’t she say to keep Sir Kent out of the spotlight?”
Annabella calmly pointed out Feria’s blunder.
”So, how about ‘Blackdagger Service Squad’? This way, Sir Kent isn’t in the spotlight either.”
Annabella pushed her chosen name.
Hmm, that’s a bit of a questionable name.
It sounds like a group doing cleaning activities in the neighborhood.
”How about ‘Guardians of Loyalty,’ Lady Miriallia? Since it’s Lord Kent’s exclusive Hunting Group, isn’t this name good?”
Aurelia also pushed her own idea.
Oh, that’s quite a cool name.
So far, it feels the most fitting.
”I think… ‘Red Bride’ with Mr. Kent’s color would be nice, but… I believe all the Hunting Group members will probably end up being Mr. Kent’s women.”
Lana’s name really captured the current situation.
It’s true that it’s questionable whether the girl who became a member of the Hunting Group can exercise self-control.
”Hey, sister, ‘red’ represents Kent, so how about changing it to a deeper red, ‘crimson’? ‘Crimson Bride’ sounds cool, right?”
Lina came in to correct the name Lana suggested.
’Crimson Bride,’ huh? That’s pretty cool.
I started to lean towards the name ‘Crimson Bride’ that Lina had suggested.
”‘Crimson Bride’ is actually a pretty good name. The leader of the Hunting Group is the former Demon Lord’s bride, so it fits, right? What does everyone think?”
I asked everyone if we should adopt the name I was starting to like.
”If Mr. Kent is considering me as a bride candidate, then that’s fine with me!”
Feria casually declared herself as my bride.
She seemed natural but was surprisingly sly about it.
”F-Feria! What are you saying in front of Lady Miriallia!”
”Huh? I’m fine with it. Ms. Annabella is also a candidate for Kent’s bride. It’s all up to Kent to decide. Officially, I would be the main wife, though.”
Hearing Milly’s words, Annabella’s face turned bright red as she stood there in shock.
”No way… me as Sir Kent’s bride…”
Seeing Annabella’s reaction, Aurelia cautiously asked me.
”S-So, does that mean I’m also… a candidate for Lord Kent’s bride…?”
”Yeah, if Aurelia is okay with it, that’s the plan.”
After hearing my words, Aurelia seemed to melt away like a different creature.
”Mr. Kent’s love for women… seems extraordinary… but Lana will endure it all! Huh!”
When I looked next to me, Lana had a face like she was enduring some pleasure, but I hadn’t done anything to her.
”Seriously, you’re an unconscious enemy of women. B-but I like that about you…”
Lina’s face was also red as she fidgeted.
”Well, it seems everyone likes Kent, so is it okay if we name the Hunting Group ‘Crimson Bride’? If you agree, please raise your hand.”
Milly asked for a show of hands to make a decision.
”””””Definitely, that name works! “””””
Everyone except me and Milly responded in perfect harmony.
”Alright, it’s settled then. I’ll submit the application as ‘Crimson Bride.’ Next, we need to secure members for the Hunting Group. I’m thinking of putting out a recruitment notice and conducting interviews. So, I sent a message to the Hunter Guild to announce that the Blackdagger family is looking for paid Hunting Group members. Of course, it’s for women only.”
I was surprised by Milly’s quickness.
However, I had a feeling that if I conducted the interviews, a lot of the girls would end up becoming Carriers.
I wondered if Milly had thought about that, so I decided to ask.
”Milly, it’s fine to do interviews, but if I’m there, won’t all the girls who apply end up becoming Carriers?”
”That’s true. You can’t see women without taking off the Illusion Glasses.”
Feria nodded in agreement with me.
”About that, I was thinking that if we use this, we might not need to meet face-to-face. I think the [Handsome Guy] skill only activates when you’re face-to-face.”
I was surprised to see what Milly pulled out from a bag at her feet.
What was in Milly’s hand was the ‘Magic Mirror’ that she had been checking out at the Vittoria shop when she bought the Illusion Glasses.
Sure, if we use that, I could see a woman’s face without meeting directly, but would it really not activate just from that?
Feeling worried, I asked Milly.
”So, do you have any assurance that it won’t activate?”
”Not at all. But the first girl I interview will be carefully selected by me to match Kent’s preferences, so once we activate it, we can just pull her in. And for the next girl, as long as she has the Gender Change Ring on, it should be fine. Basically, the goal is to increase the number of Hunting Group members.”
If I go by Milly’s explanation, I think it would be easier if I just transformed into a woman and acted as the interviewer from the start…
I don’t want to be thrown into a group of men, but if it’s a place with only women, there’s no chance of being attacked, so I guess it wouldn’t be so bad.
Curious, I asked Milly.
”Wouldn’t it be faster if I transformed into a woman and did the interview together?”
”I want to avoid exposing Kent too much in front of a large crowd. If it gets out that Kent has the [Red] mark, a lot of people will come rushing in. So, I’ll be the interviewer, and I want Kent to have a face-to-face meeting through the ‘Magic Mirror.’”
Well, considering the drastic change in attitude I saw at the Dorman house, if I accidentally let something slip during the interview and it got out that Kent has the [Red] mark, it wouldn’t just be a simple issue of Mr. Arbalest getting mad.
It’s safer to stick with the face-to-face meeting through the ‘Magic Mirror’.
”If Milly insists on that… then I’ll make sure to do it through the ‘Magic Mirror.’”
Milly let out a sigh of relief.
”That’s good… For now, the first round of interviews is scheduled for 3 days from now, aiming to hire about 3 people. Is there any problem with that?”
Lana raised her hand.
”Why only 3 people? Can’t we hire more at once?”
Milly answered Lana’s question.
”If we hire too many at once, it just leads to waste. I think it’s enough to secure the party’s maximum limit of 8 people and maybe 2 reserves at first. However, if there’s too much of a level difference among the members, I plan to increase the numbers for a training party.”
”So, you’re going for a small elite group?”
”That’s right. For a while, rather than focusing on a small elite group, we’ll prioritize hiring based on loyalty to Kent. Of course, thanks to Kent’s ability, I’m not worried about betrayal.”
”So, that means the first group will be reinforcing the skills we currently lack. Ranged combat roles like gunmen and archers, as well as Heavy Warriors with high defense to block attacks, are strong candidates for hiring.”
Aurelia has narrowed down the job types for potential hires.
”That depends on Kent. The first condition for hiring is that the girls Kent likes will be prioritized.”
That’s a heavy responsibility.
I’ll keep Aurelia’s advice in mind and use it for my judgment during the interviews.
”So, Lady Miriallia, what will the interview process be like?”
Annabella checked with Milly about the interview details.
”For now, we’ll start the interview process with an Authentication Stone (Job Check) and an Ability Grasp Stone (Skill Check), and we’ll ask the Hunter Guild to filter out those without combat roles or any criminals. Then, for the second interview, Ms. Annabella, Feria, and Aurelia will conduct interviews that also serve as background checks to filter out those with partners. For the third test, I’ll conduct a combat test as the examiner. Finally, the last test will be a non-face-to-face interview with Kent, and the interviewers will be me, Lina, and Lana.”
