”Gunilla’s been acting strange?”
”It’s been about 2 months now… When she’s not exploring the labyrinth, she goes out somewhere in the afternoon.”
After receiving this week’s pay following breakfast, Kazumi called me to the reception area.
”Is she going out to play? Shopping? Isn’t that what it is?”

Simona crosses her legs on the sofa and stretches.
”If that’s the case, I’m worried she might be with a strange man… Hiroya, follow Gunilla and investigate her from noon.”
”Huh? Me?”
Kazumi points at me.
”Because Rena, Dorothy, Lotta, and sister-in-law Karina have to enchant the armor we received from the Royal Capital at the workshop in Toldo, and Liz and Gieze have gone to the guild to report on their exploration.”
”Liz and Gieze should be back by noon, right?”
”Martina said she would take care of Liselle, Kaoru, and Craig.”
”No, that’s why the guild group…”
”Noriss and Gorge are helping Ms. Hanna, and I can’t have Romy tailing Gunilla…”
”Alright… I’ll go.”
”Simon, you’re still lazing around in that outfit, huh? and Asuka… wait, is Hiroya going to handle it?”
No, you’re definitely planning to send me.
You didn’t even give me a chance to refuse.

After receiving Kazumi’s permission, Simona did a little victory pose and happily went upstairs, perhaps to change.

”I’m off for a bit!”
Even though it was still before noon, Gunilla headed towards the entrance.
”I don’t need lunch. Sorry about that.”
”Understood. Be careful and have a good time.”
Ms. Hanna was seeing Gunilla off at the entrance.
”Simona and I are not having lunch either. Sorry.”
”Are you two going out too?”
”I’m going to follow Gunilla for a bit”

Simona tells Ms. Hanna with a smile, “It’s a secret, okay?”
Looking out the front door, I see Gunilla walking towards the center of the village.
”Let’s go, Simona”
Simona and I left the Clan house and followed Gunilla.

”Is that the Zett Merchant Guild shop?”
”Ah, dat’s de joint ‘at sells items, weapons, and gear from da Great labyrinth. Dey also selling da loot from da labyrinth dere.”
As Simona said, that’s a place where I’ve brought in loot a few times.
Is it Mr. Waleerry Gähgabauère?
It was the foreman from the Zett Merchant Guild who assessed it, right?
”She’s been starin’ at da showcase out dere fer a while now.”
”Is there something she want?”
While observing Gunilla from behind the building a couple of doors down, she went into the shop after looking at the showcase.
Simona and I moved to the front of the store to look at the showcase.
Among the weapons like armor, daggers, and long swords, one particularly caught my eye──
”An Arbalest, huh. That’s quite a large Black Bow. Judging by the vibe… it must be enchanted with magic.”
”I wonder if she was lookin’ at dis. No… dis gotta be it.”
That red-black Black Bow, which seemed considerably large for me, is probably just the right size for Gunilla.

Well, there are other weapons priced even higher, but for an ordinary adult, it seems like only Gunilla could handle a Black Bow of this size in this village, and I wish it were a bit cheaper…

After seeing Gunilla walking towards the central square of the village, I hurried into the shop.
”I’ma go after Gunilla. Ahm gonna finish da story right away.”
Simona said and followed Gunilla.
I hurriedly called out to Mr. Waleerry, who was at the counter.
”Sir Hiroya, what’s wrong?”

”You’ve been carrying a little bit of money all along, right? Just 5 more silver coins, and that will cover the cost of the Arbalest.”
Mr. Waleerry, who began speaking after prefacing with “I’ll tell you because you’re Sir Hiroya…” upon hearing about Gunilla.

”Oy, ya were quick, Hiroya. She jus’ went inta that alley.”
The alley Simona pointed to was…
(That alley definitely has the ‘Chick Gathering Inn’ there…)
”Let’s hurry, Simona. There might be a chance!”
I took Simona’s hand and ran into the alley.
Gunilla was indeed going into the ‘Chick Gathering Inn’ at the end of the alley.
”What’s going on, Hiroya? That place… looks like an inn.”
”It’s an inn, a diner, and also a place for rendezvous…”
”?”
”It’s also a brōtḥel! Of course, my father approved it…”
Simona seemed startled, as she suddenly ran off with me.
We hurried through the inn’s entrance and dashed straight to the reception.
There, I spotted Della, the innkeeper, deep in conversation with Gunilla.
”Gunilla! No! If there’s something you want, I’ll give it to you!”
I accidentally let out a loud voice.
Gunilla turns around and looks at me with a surprised face.
”Hiroya… why are you here?”
”Oh, Sir Hiroya. Is this a different woman from Liz today? Wait, Ms. Simona!?”
Similarly, when Della turns around, her smile changes to one of shock.
”Even though she was originally the captain of ‘Rose Hip’, to think that you could even overpower a skilled female swordsman… I guess that’s just what you expect from Sir Shinji’s son.”
”No, I didn’t come to borrow a room today…”
In response to my hasty denial, Simona shot me a sidelong glance.

”A part-time job?”
”Yes. This girl is strong, you know. She works a lot better than our guys do. Right now, she’s helping with unloading barrels and such.”
Della explained on behalf of Gunilla, who was shrink-wrapped and looking down.
”Is that so… I’m glad…”
”Hiroya was in a panic, misunderstanding that you were ‘selling your body,’ you know?”

Gunilla looked down apologetically.
”No, there’s no need to apologize. It’s not like you can’t have a part-time job. You wanted it, right? That Arbalest.”

Gunilla lifted her head as if in surprise.
”Kazumi is worried. She’s concerned that Gunilla might be deceived by some guy. That’s why Simona and I were following you. Sorry about that.”
I bowed my head to Gunilla.
When I looked at Simona, she was just grinning at me, so I pressed my head down and bowed together with her once more.
”Well, now that the package has arrived… I’ll have you work hard.”
Della hits Gunilla on the back!
and hit.
”Well, we’re heading home. Good luck, Gunilla”
I waved goodbye to Gunilla and Della and left the Chick Gathering Inn.
”Hey, ya wanna go home? We can chill here together, yeah?♡”
Simona is next to me and trying to seduce me, but not today, right?
”We can’t do that when Gunilla is working”
”Well, dat’s true. Well, ah’ll use dis site agin next time. It’d be cruel to use it wit Liz and den say ah can’t use it.”
”Okay, but I’m gonna play some crazy shit here, you know?”
Simona’s cheeks turned bright red at my words.
”Oh, is that so? Whaddaya think Liz is doin’ here…?”
”It’s a secret”
For now, we headed to the central square of the village for lunch.
