One hour later.
After finishing his bath, Kian was warming up in front of the fireplace when Christy returned through the basement door.
She was wearing a white nightgown and had a white towel wrapped around her head.
Thanks to the hot bath, her cheeks were red and a little steam was coming from her body.
Christy looked at Kian, who was standing in front of the fireplace, with wide eyes.
”What happened to your outfit?”
”It’s just a shirt and pants. I just changed into a new one I brought.”
”I see, you took off the black coat.”
”Is that a problem?”
”No, it’s nothing. I was just surprised because you looked a bit… different.”
Christy said this while glancing at Kian’s chest.
”It’s been a while since I’ve shown such a simple outfit in front of others.”
”Really, Kian? I thought you looked kind of strong even though you seem thin.”
”Well, I am an adventurer after all.”
”When I think of adventurers, I only imagine them with big bellies and thick arms.”
”That’s a stereotype.”
”Looking at you, it seems different. Oh, by the way, want to drink with me? I only have some leftover bread and cheese for snacks.”
”I don’t mind, but Ms. Christy, that might keep you from sleeping.”
”Oh, it’s fine. I was told to take a break for a while.”
Christy says this while waving her hands.
She passes by Kian, opens the door to what appears to be a kitchen, and disappears into the darkness.
”Damn, that damn steward! Just remembering him makes me so irritated. Kian, do you like your wine diluted?”
”Yes”
”What a coincidence. I don’t really like sludgy ones either.”
She came back from the kitchen with a bottle of wine, 2 glasses, and a loaf of bread that must have weighed about 3 kilograms under her arms.
Christy put them on the table and began to cut the huge loaf of bread with a knife onto the white tablecloth.
The fact that they didn’t bring out a large plate shows how careless they are.
”If you’re warm, sit down. Let’s talk.”
”I’d be happy if you’re okay with me”
”I love talking to you”
Christy said this, showing her white teeth through the gap in her lips.
”I don’t get stressed out when I talk to you, and you tell me a lot of interesting stories, like stories about Azrael and adventurers.”
”I like Ms. Christy’s story too”
”Really? It feels like I’m the one just complaining, doesn’t it?”

’Kian is really good at listening.’
They talked for about 3 hours in the waiting room, but most of it was just her random stories while he nodded along.
It might not seem like much, but since she usually has no one to talk to, Christy is probably enjoying Kian quietly listening to her.
”I don’t think that’s true.”
”Really? Oh, do you want to play chess? I’ll pour you some wine!”
Christy said this cheerfully as if she were talking to a friend from school.
Friend──.
Did she even have friends?
(Speaking of school, Esther asked me to find out about swimsuit designs from the academy in the capital.)
Christy graduated from the academy, so she probably has swimsuits.
But even though she was really excited now, asking, “Show me your swimsuit!” would definitely make her uncomfortable.

”It’s not fun to take money from a poor adventurer. How about if you lose at chess, you have to take off a piece of your clothing?”

With a wicked smile, Christy put down her glass and went into the bedroom.
When she came back, she was wearing thick clothes like she was going for a walk in the middle of winter.
”I was just thinking, you’re muscular, aren’t you?”
”…I see?”
”Well, at least take off your bottoms so I can see your nice ass.”
”Don’t you think that’s indecent for a proper lady?”
When Kian said that, Christy snorted.
”Today, I’ll get revenge on you for all the teasing you’ve done. I’ll strip you naked, put you in a lump of clay, and make a mold of you.”
”Isn’t that a bad taste?”
”Hehe. What will you do? If you’re scared, you can just run away. You hang your coat outside, right? Your shirt, your pants, and your belt──you only have 3 things to protect you.”
”Can I go outside to get some clothes?”
”Too bad”
Christy snapped her fingers.
The back door and the front door were closed and carefully locked.
”The door won’t open”

(I see, with this personality, she can’t make any friends)
He sits back in his chair and gives the witch a cold look, who is smiling maliciously.
But this was a good opportunity.
”Alright, if it has come to this, I will accept.”
”Hehe… I like brave men. Don’t worry about showing your weakness. Oh, if you use violence, I will set the gargoyle on you, so watch out for that.”
The last words were spoken when Kian looked at the piece of parchment he took out from his backpack.
Kian spread the paper and showed it to her.
”This is a magic contract. Made by the Adventurers Guild. If we are going to play strip chess, let’s each sign it here.”
”Do you realize you are tightening the noose around your own neck?”
”I can’t just take this lightly now that we have gone this far. What will you do? Do you want to not sign the contract so you can break the promise anytime?”
”…….Fine.”
Christy replied shortly and signed the contract.
Kian also signed next to her.
The duel is about chess.
The rule is that the loser has to take off one piece of clothing.
When they finished filling out the contract, Kian crossed his legs on the chair.
”Shall we begin?”
