”Hey lady, can I talk to you for a moment?”
”Huh? Heaven’s Sword!? And that voice… the real Aqua-sama!?”
I got off my bike and slowly approached the woman.
”You seem troubled; is something wrong?”
”Um… well…”
Feeling guilty, the woman quickly averted her gaze from me.
”If it’s something you really don’t want to share, you don’t have to. But… if you genuinely need help, could you please rely on us or the police?”
”…I’m sorry!!”
The woman bowed her head and pulled scissors from her bag.
Realizing this was serious, I exchanged glances with everyone.
”I… I was actually about to commit a terrible crime!”
”Can you tell me more?”
I knelt down and listened to the woman’s story.
She worked at a corporate job and had suffered severe power harassment from her boss.
Desperate, she thought of threatening her boss with the scissors.
But she couldn’t do that and instead considered using the scissors to commit suicide in a less impactful place.
”It’s really not okay to try to hurt someone…”
”That’s right. No matter the reason, doing something like that would make you a criminal.”
I escort the woman who turned herself in into the police van.
Because the incident was prevented, the lady showed signs of remorse, and she had thought about quitting midway through, she will probably not be charged with a crime and will just get off with a minor warning.
However, this does not mean that the matter is resolved.
I took everyone with me to the company where my sister works and asked each of them about their situation.
I see… so it seems that there was indeed power harassment.
I’m heading to the boss who bullied the lady.

The boss, pressured by me, averted their gaze.
I clenched my fists tightly out of frustration.
No matter how seriously I try to convey this, there will always be someone who won’t understand.
It’s a stark contrast to Kenzaki, who has saved many people with his words.
I shifted my gaze to the other employees who were watching.
”I will report this to the third-party investigation agency established under Kokucho Agewa Congressman. You may think it’s harsh, but I feel the entire company, which ignored the power harassment, has a problem too.”
If a third-party investigation enters, depending on the nature of the harassment, the boss could face civil or criminal charges, or both.
If the harassment reported by the sister who attempted suicide is confirmed as true, the boss will likely face some form of punishment.
Additionally, if there are issues within the company itself, a proper investigation will be conducted there as well.
The management might be forced to resign, or the entire company could be shut down if it’s found to be a company-wide harassment.
”But let me just say this. People can always change depending on how they are. Even from today, even from this moment. I am taking responsibility for my actions and atoning for my sins. So please, don’t give up on trying to improve yourself. I beg of you.”
When I bow my head, some people react strongly.
I may not be able to move everyone’s hearts like Kenzaki, but I hope my words have reached at least a few people.
I immediately handed the situation over to a third party that had rushed over, and returned to patrol with the others.
And so my one-day police chief job comes to an end.

As I got on my bike, I sighed.
I don’t know if what happened with the power harassment issue was good or not.
I reflect on whether I could have handled it better, or if I should have chosen my words more carefully.
Kohina-senpai, sitting behind me on the bike, gives my head a light tap.
”What’s right or wrong depends on the situation, so overthinking is pointless.”
Kohina-senpai wraps her arms around my waist and turns her face away to hide her expression.
”Well… at least earlier, you were cooler than Kenzaki… no, not just that, you were just as cool as him, right?”
”Kohina-senpai…”
