Chapter 411, Part 2 Gargantua Balrasa Antia
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
I quickly prepared to head to Raetia.
Just then, an old Himuka merchant, who helps with trade in our village, was visiting, so I made arrangements to go with him to Raetia.
”Raetia is currently developing economically. There’s a big market happening soon, so I was just about to head there. Please join me!”
The only trade item from our village, Balthoga, is dried fish. The merchant came to buy goods for the big market.
”Seafood is quite popular in the inland Romuna Kingdom.”
As soon as we arrived, the merchant laughed while watching the loading of the dried fish he had purchased.
”We will depart for Raetia tomorrow morning. Lady Gargantua and friends, please accompany us as guards for our caravan.”
I thanked him and shook his hand.
”Of course, you can count on us to do our job as guards, right?”
The merchant smiled and patted my shoulder.

I returned to the village from the hill, leaving Hernando behind, and entered my house.
My belongings were already loaded onto the horse.
I picked up the great naginata leaning against the wall and checked the tachi at my waist before leaving the house.
I secured the great naginata to the saddle, took the reins, and led the horse.
As I headed to the central square of the village with Hernando, the caravan was already preparing to depart.
Esperanza Jourquet Flores, who was riding alongside their carriage, quickly dismounted when he saw me.
”Lady Gargantua, thank you for choosing me as your companion this time!”
Saying this, he knelt down and bowed his head.
”You don’t need to thank me. You and Hernando are both skilled members of our kin. That’s why I chose you. Be proud.”
”Yes!”
Esperanza bowed deeply once more.
──I told him it wasn’t necessary, yet he still did it.
”Lady Gargantua, you look truly majestic. You could be called a ‘Onna-bugeisha (female warrior)’ in our Eastern culture.”
The merchant peeked out from the coachman’s seat of the carriage parked nearby.
”Both we and Himuka share the same cultural heritage.”
The imperial merchant nodded with a smile at my response.
”By the way, is it okay if we don’t hide this?”
”Hide what?”
”This…”
I pushed aside my long red hair, damaged by the salty wind, and showed the merchant my 2 horns.
”Ah, that’s fine. In Raetia, part of the Romuna Kingdom, there is no ‘racial discrimination.’ Sir Shinji is the lord there, and the people are friendly.”
”I see…”
If Shinji is the lord, then I guess I have no reason to worry.
(Right. I can finally see him again. I wonder if the hero Elberhardt is there too…)
If I side with the Demon King and Azradelius, will I have to face them again?
(I really want to avoid that…)
”Alright! Let’s get going!”
With the merchant’s command, 3 carriages and several hired guards began to move.
”Come on, Gargantua! Let’s follow!”
”After you!”
Hernando and Esperanza followed the caravan on horseback.
(I need to carefully check the situation and avoid making the wrong choices…)
I reminded myself of this and urged my beloved horse forward.
