The next morning, Kian woke up in bed and was met with a deep, passionate kiss from Christy, who had also just woken up beside him.

It was a kiss before either of them had even had water.

As their tongues explored each other’s mouths, the scent of morning breath hit their noses.

It wasn’t unpleasant──it was the smell of saliva, full of the scent of Christina Famille, a human female.

Perhaps excited by tasting Kian’s saliva, Christy’s white hand unconsciously began stroking his morning erection.

”Mmm! .. I need to make breakfast.”

”I’ll do it. You go take a bath first.”

”Okay, got it. Thank you. …Being with you, it feels like we’re living a decadent life.”

 ”We’re already halfway there.”

 ”Idiot.”

After that, they both hurriedly got ready for the morning.

After taking a bath and changing into fresh clothes, they gathered in the living room and started on breakfast. Surprisingly, they had plenty of time left.

”────I’m supposed to be keeping an eye on you under Sir McCutchen’s orders, but…”

Christy, dressed in a blouse and skirt, began to speak.

”Can you tell me your plans for today?”

”First, I’ll go to Sir Oswald’s place to exchange some ancient coins. I doubt it’ll end with just that──I’ll probably end up talking with him afterward. If things go badly, it might take until evening.”

”There’s a good chance you’ll be back by noon. Oswald may seem idle, but he’s actually quite busy. Don’t you have training with Lord Guillaume?”

”Right. So, I might be free after noon. Either way, after leaving his estate, I plan to pick up my familiar’s outfit.”

”If it’s not too late at night, that old lady should still be around. If you’re not in a hurry, tomorrow would work too.”

”Tomorrow, I might have Baron Waterman show me around the ceremony venue. The fortress guild mentioned they’d send me a personal request, so I’ll likely attend a brief training session.”

”Got it. So, you’ll go to Oswald’s place, then head to the Eastern Town on your way back. Is that all?”

 ”No.”

Kian tore off a piece of bread and continued.

”I’d like to make a quick trip to the East End. There are 2 things I need to do. One is a quest I took earlier──someone wants me to share the design of the swimsuits from the royal academy.”

”Swimsuit designs? What are you going to do with that?”

”The client is the daughter of the tavern where I’m staying. She’s planning to design new uniforms for the staff and wants to use the royal swimsuit designs as inspiration.”

 ”Hmm. …Wait a minute. You don’t mean──”

 Kian looked at Christy.

”That’s right. I was hoping to borrow yours. I’d hate to hand it over to some creepy middle-aged guy, but fortunately, it’s Esther, a girl in her late teens. If you’re okay with it, I’d like to borrow it. I’ll make sure to compensate you properly.”

”I don’t need money. Just treat me to something at the Eastern Town’s street stalls next time.”

”So, you’ll lend me the swimsuit?”

”Sure. But make sure to return it. I have a few spares, but I’d feel bad giving them away. They’re really comfortable, you know.”

”Of course. I’m sure Esther will promise to return it properly.”

”Then it’s fine. So, what’s the other thing you wanted to talk about?”

”As you know, I’ve been assigned as a guard for the upcoming Knights of the Sun Succession Ceremony. I see this as an opportunity. Those assassins we’ve been tracking have threatened to attack the venue, so something’s bound to happen.”

”True. If it weren’t for all the big shots attending, it’d be better to just cancel the ceremony.”

”I want to make a name for myself. The day of the ceremony might bring unexpected chances to go above and beyond my duties. I’d like to hire some reliable allies to help with security, just in case.”

”Speaking of which, don’t you have a partner you usually team up with?”

”Yeah, I’ll talk to them and get their help for the day. They’re sharp, skilled, and highly dependable. I trust them completely.”

 ”Sounds good to me.”

Christy took a sip from her glass of water and continued.

”Let’s see, it’s the western area of the coliseum, right? Waterman’s subordinates are leading a security team made up entirely of adventurers for patrols?”

”Right. We talked about it during dinner last night.”
