”Stanford… What? Wait, you mean Stanford, who went through that gate?!”
”Yes, apparently he was found walking alone along the tracks in the snowy mountains of Quebec, and was picked up by a passing train.”
”How is that possible? I clearly saw him appear in the Royal Palace basement, and I interrogated him myself!” Ms. Claudel was equally shocked.
”How did he get back here? Wait, does that mean there’s another gate somewhere?!” I exclaimed.
”He’s insisting on going to New Jersey and refuses to say anything else. The Canadian authorities contacted us because he was still on the U.S. military’s wanted list.”
”Do you think we can talk to him?”
”We’re working on it, but since it involves Canada, it might take some time. However, I believe we’ll be able to make it happen. Once his custody is transferred to the U.S., the military will take over the investigation…”
”Do you think there’s a gate there? Can we go check it out?” Sheena asked.
”It might be difficult to get to Canada right away. But even if Sistemador could recreate the gate, why would Stanford appear? I would expect a proper messenger with a tag. And if it was in Canada, wouldn’t the AWCC be notified if someone from another world showed up?”
”They might take some time, but we should receive a notification. However, we haven’t heard anything yet. Let’s gather more information first. For now, get some rest. We’ll discuss this further tomorrow,” Mr. Fishbed suggested.
Despite our initial plans for a romantic evening, the 3 of us returned to our rooms and anxiously awaited the morning.

The next morning, my parents arrived at the AWCC headquarters.
We had planned to visit the Ueno Zoo today, but with the Stanford situation, it seemed like they were busy gathering information.
I felt bad for Haruto, but I was discussing with my parents and Tomori about going without me when Sheena spoke up.
”I’ll go out with Haruto today. We promised to see the iguanas together… And if there’s any progress with the Stanford case, this might be our last chance to spend time …”
”Mr. Yuuta, I’d love to see the pandas too. So, Mr. Yuuta, why don’t we go together with your parents? Spending time with family is quite precious, I’ve been realizing that more and more lately.”
Ms. Claudel agreed, and I couldn’t help but nod in agreement. I decided to leave the information gathering at Stanford to Mr. Fishbed and enjoy the zoo with everyone.
”Oh my, I never expected to have my skirt flipped there!” Sheena exclaimed.
At the reptile house in Ueno Zoo, when Haruto got excited seeing an iguana and shouted that Sheena’s tail was bigger, he flipped her skirt.
I was startled, but the beautiful sight of her thighs and underwear caught everyone’s attention, and I was relieved that no one seemed to notice her tail.
However, Sheena scolded Haruto for revealing her secret, and he sulked for a while.
”I’m happy I got to see the pandas too. Today will be a wonderful memory.”
Ms. Claudel said on our way back on the train. I pushed through the crowd to get a photo with Ms. Claudel and the pandas, and we agreed to show it off to everyone back home.
We arrived at the AWCC, and my dad spoke up.
”Well, I guess this might be the last time I see you for a while.”
”Dad, Mom, and Tomori, I’m sorry, but I want to prioritize going back with these two. Ms. Akari and Karin are waiting for us over there too. But… if we do go back, I promise I’ll return someday. And when I do, I’ll bring Ms. Akari and Karin with me…”
”That’s right. That’s the best way. Take care of yourself… and stay strong.” Dad patted my shoulder.
Sheena was also chatting with Haruto about something.
”Haru, I might be going back home, but I won’t forget you, and we’ll definitely meet again. And when we do, if you’ve grown up, I’ll let you touch not just my tail, but other places too!!”
Although she’s saying something a bit naughty, Haru seems to understand that this might be their last meeting.
”Sheena… Your tail!!!” Haruto shouts as he dives into Sheena’s long skirt.
”Hyaa! Haru, you pervert! That’s not my tail!”
After bidding farewell to my parents, we entered the headquarters building, where Mr. Fishbed was waiting.
”Have you said your goodbyes? Stanford’s extradition to the US has been decided. The interrogation will take place at the Nevada research facility. Well, it might be more accurate to call it isolation, but depending on the content of the conversation, you may also be asked to relocate.”
”Haha… It’s finally happening,” Sheena seemed to shudder with anticipation.
